Marriage

The Malhotra brothers gathered in the study once again. The atmosphere was tense, filled with a mix of urgency and careful deliberation.

Kabir stood by the large wooden desk, his hands resting on the surface as he listened to Kunal and Kunj discuss their options. There was no question about it: Raghav Shekhawat would be coming for Twinkle.
The entire situation was spiraling faster than they anticipated, and Twinkle's safety had become their top priority.

Kunj-"We need to do something fast,"  his tone filled with concern. "Raghav isn't going to let this go. If we don’t handle this quickly, it’s only going to escalate."

Kunal, ever the strategist, added, “We need to think long-term. Hiding her won't work forever. If he knows she’s untouchable, he might back off.”

Kabir ,who had been unusually silent, finally spoke up. "The only way to make sure she’s safe... is making her a part of our family."

The room went quiet as his brothers processed his words.

"What?" Kunj asked, his eyebrows furrowing in disbelief. "But how can we do it ?"

Kabir's gaze was steady
Kabir -"If one of you marry her, she’ll have the protection of the Malhotra name. Raghav won’t dare touch her once she’s part of our family."

Kunal and Kunj looked at Kabir with a mix of confused and concern.

Kunal-"But bhaiya, she doesn’t know what she’s getting into. She might not want this life. You can’t just throw her into the fire like this. And about marriage who will marry her."

Kabir’s jaw tightened, and he stepped toward the window, looking out at the city below.

Kabir -“I’m doing this for her safety, Kunal. It’s the only way to protect her in this world. And if she doesn’t want it… she’ll have to understand that the danger she’s in doesn’t give her a choice.”

Kunj crossed his arms, his gaze softening. “But bhaiya… are you sure about this? You’re talking about marrying her, not just for the name or protection, but for real. You’re taking her into this life.”

Kabir turned, his eyes dark with determination. “I don’t care about the risks. I care about her safety. And I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure nothing happens to her.”

Kunal sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine, but who will marry her and before that she’ll have to accept who we are, and everything that comes with us."

Kabir nodded. “I know. I’m prepared for that and about marriage..."
He stood in front of Kunj.
"I know you're capable enough to take this responsibility,Kunj."

Kunj just looked down and nodded.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

The next day, Kunj arrived at the office late in the evening, his usual calm demeanor now shadowed by the weight of what was to come. He found Twinkle sitting at her desk, her exhaustion evident from the dark circles under her eyes.

Twinkle looked up at him, slightly startled by his presence. T-"Mr.Malhotra, you’re still here?"

Kunj closed the door behind him and moved toward her desk. His voice was firm yet gentle.
K- "We need to talk, Twinkle."

Twinkle’s heart skipped a beat. She had been expecting a warning about her involvement in last night’s incident, but this felt different.

He leaned against her desk, his gaze never leaving hers. "We’ve made a decision. For your safety, I’m going to marry you."

Her mind raced. Marry her? It was absurd.
T-"What are you talking about?" she asked, confusion and panic rising in her chest.

Kunj exhaled, his expression softening. "You’ve seen things. Things that put you in danger. If I marry you, you’ll be protected. No one will be able to hurt you."

Twinkle stood up quickly, her pulse racing. “I—I don’t understand. You’re asking me to marry you... just like that? For protection?”

Kunj nodded. “It’s the only way to ensure your safety. Raghav Shekhawat is after you, and we can’t risk you getting hurt.”

Twinkle shook her head, backing away. “But you don’t even know me! This isn’t... you can’t just force me into something like this.”

Kunj’s expression softened, though there was a resolve in his eyes that didn’t waver. "I’m not forcing you. This is your choice, but the alternative is... you being vulnerable. I don’t want that for you, Twinkle. You’re not alone in this anymore."

Her heart raced, and her mind swirled with conflicting emotions. Was he doing this because he cared? Or was it just another way for him to control the situation?

Kunj took a step closer, his voice quiet but steady. “You don’t have to love me, Twinkle. You don’t have to accept it right away. But this is the only way I can protect you. Please… think about it.”

Twinkle’s mind was clouded with doubt. She didn’t know whether to trust him. She didn’t know if she was ready for such a huge decision. But one thing was clear—her life had already changed the moment she witnessed what she shouldn’t have. And now, Kunj was offering her a way out, a way to be safe.

---

In the evening Twinkle was going home drown in the thoughts of Kunj.

T-" Whats should I do now? I think I should run away from here. Yes it will be best, I'll leave everything and go away after withdrawing all my savings."

She didn't realise that while thinking about everything she entered a dark and lonely alley.

Twinkle's phone pinged which brought her out from her thoughts.

T-" Oh no, I took the wrong turn. It's getting dark, I need to walk fast."

She was walking fast when she felt it—a presence.

A shiver ran down her spine. Her steps slowed.

Then—a hand grabbed her wrist.

"Where do you think you’re going, sweetheart?" A rough voice sneered behind her.

Twinkle gasped and turned, only to see three men, their eyes dark with cruel amusement.

She stumbled back, her breath hitching.
T- "W-Who are you?"

One of them smirked.
M- "Boss wants to have a little chat with you. You shouldn’t have seen what you did last night."

Her heart pounded in terror. Raghav.

One of them lunged forward, but before he could grab her again—a gunshot rang out.

The man screamed, clutching his shoulder as two figures emerged from the shadows.

Kabir and Kunal.

Twinkle gasped, but before she could react, Kunal grabbed her and pulled her behind him.

"You picked the wrong girl to mess with," Kunal growled, eyes flashing with deadly rage.

The goons hesitated, but then—another one tried to strike.

Kabir didn’t wait. He grabbed the man by the collar and slammed him against the wall, his voice dangerously low.

Kabir-"Tell Raghav—she’s ours. And if he dares touch her again… he won’t live to regret it."

The goons, injured and terrified, scrambled away.

Twinkle stood frozen, still processing what just happened when Kabir suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"That’s it," Kabir snapped, dragging her forward. "You’re coming with us."

"Wait, what? Where?!" Twinkle struggled. "Let me go!"

Kabir’s grip was unrelenting.
Kabir-"You think you can just walk away? Raghav’s men will keep coming for you. We’re ending this now."

Kunj, who had just arrived, frowned. "Bhaiya, wait—"

"No," Kabir cut him off sharply. "She’s marrying you. Tonight. No more discussions."

Twinkle’s eyes widened in horror. "No! You can’t just—"

"Enough!" Kabir’s voice thundered, sending shivers down her spine. "You have no family, no one who will care if you live or die. The only thing keeping you alive right now is us. This isn’t a choice, Twinkle. It’s survival."

Tears welled in Twinkle’s eyes as she looked at Kunj, silently pleading for help.

Kunj hesitated, his jaw clenched. "Bhaiya, we can’t force her—"

But Kabir’s glare was unforgiving. "We don’t have time for emotions, Kunj. It’s this… or she dies."

And just like that, her fate was sealed.

Within an hour, Twinkle found herself in a temple, her wrists held tightly as she sat beside Kunj. A priest recited the vows, the fire flickering between them.

Twinkle felt numb. This wasn’t marriage. This was a prison.

Kunj, too, looked tense, but Kabir stood nearby, ensuring there was no escape.

"Phero ke liye khade ho jaiye"
(Stand up for vows) Said the priest

But they both didn't move.

Kabir -"Kunj, didn't you listen, stand up"

Kunj stood up along with Twinkle and took pheras.

Twinkle’s hands trembled as she felt the sindoor in her hair… the mangalsutra around her neck.

And just like that… she was married.

Trapped in the Malhotra brothers’ world… with no way out.

That's it for today

Hope you liked it.

Bye,love you all a lot 😘
