After having those dreams again the night beforehand, Y/n began washing her face in her porcelain water bowl while her handmaiden Freiburg began taking out suitable clothes for her lady to wear til e/c eyes looked over at her.

Y/n: "Oh, Freiburg, you don't have to trouble yourself with that." She said while gently stopping her handmaiden after living in the castle for six months now she still wasn't used to being waited on hand and foot and would rather do things herself, at least for now. Freiburg just stared at her with a slow nod as Y/n sighed softly before handing her a new soft hairbrush that the Queen gifted her two weeks ago. "Fine, you can brush out my hair after I get dressed." She said as Freiburg took hold of the brush with a crooked but happy smile on her face.

Y/n hummed softly while she walked over towards her wardrobe and took out her former thief clothing, which would be perfect for today's outing with her loving boyfriend. She walked over towards her, changing screen which was decorated with the kingdom of Corona's symbols from the sun, lanterns, and of course the sundrop flower to get dressed quickly but comfortably than sat down by her vanity as Freiburg began brushing out her medium length h/c hair til it was silky-smooth and carefully tied it back with a light sky blue silk ribbon.

Y/n: "Thank you, Freiburg, for your help. Go on and reward yourself with anything on my breakfast cart that Faith brought in this morning, I only ate an apple from the fruit bowl." She said while placing two extra apples into her old thief satchel, one for Maximus and the other for Fadela in the palace stables to stroke Maximus's snout as he neighed happily at her. "Good morning to you to Max, guess what?" She questioned while Max just her a puzzled look. "I got you and Fadela both a delicious apple each as a reward after our outing this morning." She said while laughing as Fidello nuzzled against her back, which made her smile softly. "Hello there, Fadela, my sweet friend." She said before she was suddenly swept off of her feet by a set of strong arms, which made her wrap her hands around the captor's neck in shock until a familiar deep yet kind laugh filled up her ears. "Sunshine, are you trying to scare me?" She questioned as her e/c eyes looked upon her boyfriend, Rapunzel.

Rapunzel now wore a royal blue suit tailored with gold embroidery with brown leather boots on his feet. His once extremely long sundrop golden blonde hair was now deep brunette in delicate waves against his bright evergreen eyes reflected his star like freckles.

Rapunzel: He smiled as bright as the morning sun as he held his beloved girlfriend in his arms. "Never, Y/n, I'm just so happy to have you in my arms." He said as he carefully set her back onto the ground to caress her right cheek to lean down to place a light kiss against her lips.

Y/n: She hums softly at Rapunzel's lips against hers before kissing him back lovingly, then smiles up at him to mess up his styled hair a bit. "Rapunzel, we were literally dancing on your bedroom balcony last night after dinner with your parents." She said with a slight tease in her voice before climbing onto Fadela with strength and grace. She tossed her h/c hair over her shoulder with a wink. "Come on, I promised my prince a morning adventurous ride." She said with a snap of the reins in her hands, Fadela galloped out of the stables and the castle grounds.

Rapunzel: "Whoa!" He shouted out as his hair was blown back with a smile framing his face. "Ooh, game on... Max, let's ride, shall we?" He asked while climbing onto Maximus, and he galloped off after Y/n on Fadela unknowingly to the couple drew the kingdom's royal guards across the kingdom's isle bridge into the mainland. Y/n looked behind her right shoulder to see the guards galloping after them, which made her laugh.

Y/n: "Looks like we've got company on our morning rendezvous, Sunshine." She said while more horseback riding guards filled the area behind and around them.

Rapunzel: "Just more fun in the end, my love." He said with a smile as he rode beside Y/n on Fadela on the dirt road, kicking up countless clouds of dust behind them towards the guards. "Persistent as always, aren't they but so are we. I'll meet you at the wall of Corona." He said while taking the upcoming hillside while Y/n took the downside slope below him.

Y/n: "Are you seriously challenging me, my handsome man, but do you think that you keep up because it's not me that you should be worrying bout." She said while guards followed after the both of them fiercely so as it pulled a laugh from her chest. "Good luck, Sunshine!" She shouted out while riding deeper into the area she was in on Fadela before feeling a hardened burning stare at the back of her head. "Ugh, that's the captain of the Corona royal guards, isn't it, Fadela?" She questioned while looking over her shoulder to see that she was indeed correct. "Well, let's give him a proper chase than shall we?" She asked while Fadela neighed out loud in agreement as they were approaching a downed log, Y/n quickly let go of Fadela's reins and threw herself up into the air to land back onto Fadela's saddle to see the captain was keeping up with her with ease while his men, not so much. "Ooh, that's got to hurt." She whispered softly.

Rapunzel rode on Maximus with determination with guards on their tails before his eyes focused in front of him to see a huge group of bunnies in his pathway. His quickly grabbed onto Maximus's reins, and Max began doing some fancy hoof work to not injure the little creatures.

Rapunzel: "A bunny crossing this early, and good job, Maximus, that's a basket of apples for you later today." He said while seeing one of the guards was covered in a pile of bunnies and then saw his chamomile Pascal swipe a carrot away to munch on it. "Hungry as well, buddy?" He asked while smirking mischievously as his ears perked up a bit.

Captain: "You're not getting away this time, Y/n!" He exclaimed out before Rapunzel jumped in front of him, thus blocking the woman from his sight.

Rapunzel: "Not this time, sir!" He shouted out as he rode off beside Y/n once more with a deep laugh, leaving his chest. "We're almost there!" He shouted out as Y/n nodded beside him.

Y/n: "I told you this was gonna be fun!" She shouted out happily before the captain of the guards gained up on them again. "Oh, come on, really now!" She shouted out while looking ahead within time as she was alongside Rapunzal jumped over a huge riverbank without a flaw, but the captain was not so lucky as the pair. "Whoa, Fadela! Whoa girl!" She shouted out while stopping her horse to see that the captain was alright just drenched in water. "There's always next time, my good captain." She said teasingly with a laugh, leaving her lips before riding off after Rapunzel, whom she watched approaching the wall of Corona as Max helped him climb up the stone structure to marvel at the beautiful view beyond his kingdom.

Rapunzel: He smiled at the view before his eyes while taking a deep breath of fresh air with a content sigh, leaving his lips. "Look at that view, Pascal." He said while both man and companion sighed softly before hearing a sharp whistle behind them. "There's she is." He said with a soft smile on his face as he watched Fadela go to a hard halt to launch Y/n up into the air to land on the wall a few feet beside him.

Y/n: "Well, that was exciting." She said while dusting off her corset vest as she began walking towards Rapunzel. "Looks like you won again, Rapunzel." She said as Rapunzel moved to stand behind her and hold her close to his heart while she took in the majestic view before them. "This is worth the effort of a chase. Isn't this the most beautiful sight you've ever seen?" She asked Rapunzal.

Rapunzel: He smiled with lovestricken eyes set on his lover in his arms as she was a glow with the early morning sunlight. While the view of nature's beauty was awe-inspiring to him, Y/n was celestial beauty in his eyes. He took hold of her right hand gently in his own to hold it up to his lips to kiss her knuckles lightly. "Yes, it is, but nothing is compared to the alive starlight before my eyes." He said poetical, which made Y/n's e/c eyes widen at his words to smile up at him.

Y/n: "Sweet talker." She said while turning around in his arms til her hands rested against his chest as Rapunzel caressed her lower jaw as one of his arms wrapped firmly around her lower back. "I love you, Rapunzel." She whispered softly as the two slowly leaned towards each other to kiss, only for the captain of the guards to interrupt the couple's romantic atmosphere.

Captain: "Game's over, your highness and young lady! The welcoming ceremony is about to begin." He shouted out as his men arrived behind him.

Rapunzel: He sighed deeply as his shoulders dropped in discontent at the interruption, but he knew that today was a special day for him after being locked away for eighteen years of his life in a tower. "Yes, thank you, captain. We'll be down there in a moment." He shouted back down the wall to the captain before looking down at Y/n. "Never a moment of just us alone, huh?" He whispered in question as Y/n leaned up against him to kiss him lovingly on the lips. "Mmmm~" He sighed softly into the kiss to kiss her back just the same way.

Y/n: She slowly leaned away from the kiss to rest her head in the crook of Rapunzel's neck and shoulder. "We always find a way to make time for us, Rapunzel, but, as much as I hate the interruption as well, the captain is not wrong." She said before leaning away to move some of Rapunzel's now wind blown wavy deep brunette hair back behind his left ear. "Today is a big day for you. You're going to be officially crowned as Corona's prince, but you'll always be the most full of life, adventurous, and loyal man I met in that tower months ago. That is the man I see before me and whom I fell in love with." She said while seeing the reluctance in Rapunzel's evergreen eyes before she began kissing him all over his face til she heard him laugh. "Come on, my daring knight, we've got to get back to the castle." She said before carefully climbing down the wall and back onto Fadela to watch Rapunzel looking back at the natural world's beauty.

Rapunzel: "I know, Pascal, we'll get out there soon, someday." He whispered before jumping off the wall and onto Maximus's saddle to face the guards and the love of his life. "Ha! Race, you back to the castle!" He shouted out as he galloped off at great strides. So did Y/n on Fadela while the captain of the guard groaned at the couple's energy before softly smiling before he and his men gave chase after them.

Rapunzel, Y/n began riding back into Corona with the guards behind them as the people began hanging banners to celebrate their returned prince's coronation.

Rapunzel: 'This is life after happily ever after, and it's all just as sweet as the stories say'

Rapunzel waved towards his people, old and young, with a smile as bright and warm as the sun while approaching a stern black haired man with deep hazel eyes wearing a head butler's uniform two years older than him.

Rapunzel: 'I feel wild, free, as light as can be, and ready to explore with nothing at all standing in my way'

Rapunzel got off of Maximus and then went towards Fadela to gently lift Y/n off of the mare's back as she smiled up at him and then rewarded him with a kiss on the cheek. He sighed deeply before the two year older man bowed gentlemanly to the couple to remind the prince of his schedule. The two men backed with three guards walked throughout the kingdom as the people bowed to their prince while a little girl held a bushel of flowers out towards Rapunzel, which made him smile as he placed a flower behind the girl's ear and gave her a gold coin as he took a white rose from the bushel.

Rapunzel: 'True, there are certain customs I have to follow, several small obligations I can't avoid. A few rules, too, well, more than a few. Commitments by the score, but aside from all that, though. I'm overjoyed!'

Rapunzel and his butler walked into the castle as his other butlers began tending to his person, from fixing his outfit, his wind blown hair, and much more, even placing new shows onto his feet to clean off his muddy boots from the adventure this morning.

Rapunzel: 'And sure, there are vests, buckles, and boots. Plus, all these new names to recall, but still, I can hardly complain, I suppose this is happily ever after, after all?'

???: "This way, prince." The head butler spoke up in a mature deepen voice before looking over his shoulder to see Rapunzel was a tad overwhelmed. "That's enough, gentlemen. I'll take it from here." He said while shooing the group of men and young apprentice boys away before straightening out Rapunzel's satin vest. "How are you holding up?" He questioned while Rapunzel took a calming breath.

Rapunzel: "Busy, but busy is good." He said with a false smile on his face towards his butler/friend over the past six months as he began explaining just how much was on his upcoming schedule, but at least the lost prince was doing great when acting like a royal prince. "Trust me, Cassius. I know how important this is to my father." He said while taking the hair ribbon out of his hair to allow it to flow behind his shoulders as the two entered his bed chambers.

Meanwhile, down the hallway pass, Rapunzel's bed chambers stood Y/n washing her face once more as Freiburg and the other handmaidens fluttered around her to brush out her hair, and dress her in a modest yet beautiful light blue dress to be fit a young lady of the royal court.

Y/n: "Oh, no thank you but, no more perfume, please." She said while sitting at her vanity dresser to carefully pin the moon beaming brooch onto her dresses silk sash at her shoulder. She gently shooed her hand maidens away from her bedroom with a soft sigh as the queen herself entered her bedroom.

Arianna: "Exhausted already, young lady?" She questioned teasingly over the past six months within the castle. The queen and former thief gained a mother daughter relationship of sorts while Rapunzel bonded with his parents as well.

Y/n: "Yes, but I'm holding on firm." She said while fixing her h/c hair into a low fishtail braid to rest on her shoulder. "I just want to support Rapunzel the best that I can." She said while looking at the mirror before her as Arianna gently placed her hands onto her shoulders, then opened up a simple wooden carved jewelry box to reveal a silver moon pendant necklace to them.

Y/n: 'This is a new adjustment for the both of us, a former thief and lost long prince. While I can see the restlessness in his eyes behind that charming smile, I know that he'll never lie to me'

Arianna smiled softly as she delicately placed the pendant necklace around Y/n's neck to clasp it shut, and the two stood up to walk out of the young women's bed chambers to see Cassius holding out a white rose holding a deep purple sun spotted ribbon from Rapunzel. Y/n smiled softly as she took the rose with a cursty to Cassius, who bowed to her and the queen before returning to Rapunzel's side as the young prince met up with their friends from the snuggly duckling pub in the royal grooming parlor.

Y/n: 'Rapunzel's been in such a sunshine warmth mood today, I wonder what's going on in his mind?'

Rapunzel carefully trimmed off his slight stubble after getting dressed into a deep purple suit with golden embroidery of Corona's sun symbol. A white sash rested against his broad chest as Cassius carefully placed a Corona gold sun neck chain onto his shoulders to reflect his father, the king's stance, proud yet regal like a majestic lion amongst his pride.

Rapunzel: "Thank you, Cassius. It's perfect." He said while looking at a crushed blue velvet box on the dresser desk beside him before lightly spraying a delicate cologne of pine, river water, and wild bluebell flowers against his neck.

Cassius: "You're happier than usual today, my lord." He said while Rapunzel gave him a thoughtful smile to see the prince picking up the tiny blue crushed velvet box into his hands as everyone gathered around the prince.

Rapunzel: 'No longer locked high above the world, and all of our dreams fulfilled extendedly while things may have appeared between my starlight and I~'

Rapunzel walked past his friends towards a vase filled with vibrant red roses to pick one up into his fingers. He took a sniff of the bloom with a small smile as he imagined Y/n before him smiling happily up at him.

Rapunzel: 'Tonight, another dream of mine comes true when I hold her in my arms before all gathered around.'

Rapunzel tossed the rose into the air as Maximus caught it. The young to be prince knelt down on one knee before his friends held up the box and opened it to reveal a beautifully made engagement ring.

Rapunzel: 'After the festivities tonight, I'll kneel down before her, and then propose to her with this ring that's reminds me of the beauty within in her eyes~'

The ring was a beautiful golden woven band with tiny alexandrite gems resembling the new stars at night. The main gem in the center was held by a gold cresent moon, which was shown to be a sapphire blue diamond. His friends looked at the ring in awe while patting Rapunzel on the back with encouragement for the momentous task ahead of him tonight. Rapunzel pocketed the ring box as he walked back inside his chambers to walk out onto his balcony while Y/n and Arianna entered the castle gardens below the tower.

Rapunzel & Y/n: 'This is life after happily ever after, and our story has finally reached its end~'

Y/n carefully placed the white rose from Rapunzel behind her ear with a gentle smile on her face as she spun around the fragrant flowers while Rapunzel looked down at her with lovestricken eyes.

Y/n: 'A calm place to start a new journey in life year upon year~'

Rapunzel smiled softly at his love as the wind sent the mixed perfume of flowers up into his senses before blowing a kiss down towards Y/n while his mother looked up at him, and gave him a knowing smile.

Rapunzel: 'A new dream to be revealed tonight alongside the dozens of duties we'll have to tend'

Rapunzel walked back into his bed chambers to stand amongst the array of strung up lanterns displayed around his bed with paintings of his journey six months ago around his walls as to remind him that he was more than a locked away man but free to be true to himself. Y/n walked back into the castle alongside Arianna and curstied to Frederic only to be surprised a bit when the king lightly kissed her forehead.

Rapunzel & Y/n: 'And now that you've gotten the dream that we chose. Now that we're in for the haul, now our adventures can come to a close. Living happily ever after, after all~'

Rapunzel slowly walked towards his painted memorial to caress the painted image before taking hold of the ring box from his suit jackets pocket to open it up to look at the engagement ring inside.

Rapunzel: 'Now that I got the dream that I chose...'

Y/n smiled up towards King Frederic and Queen Arianna as she walked off towards her bed chambers and picked up the painted portrait of the regal looking woman dressed in dark purples, blues, and silver holding a infant girl.

Y/n: 'Why does my world feel so small?'

Tears gathered in her e/c eyes from the dream or memories she had this very morning before she wiped them away. Rapunzel approached a purple silk pillow, which held his crown.

Rapunzel & Y/n: 'If this is it, and it is, we suppose. This is happily ever after, after all'

The couple unknowingly sang softly together as Y/n looked at herself in the mirror, feeling that there's something out there watching, no waiting for her to return. While Rapunzel looked sadly down at his crown, he wanted more adventures and to live his life with those he loved deeply and more.

Rapunzel: "Okay, no pressure. I'm just introducing myself to the most important people in the entire world. Representing my father, mother, and the entire kingdom. We got it." He told himself as he heard his bed chamber door open up to reveal Y/n to his eyes. He quickly put the ring box back into his suit jacket and turned around to be held by his love.

Y/n: "You can do this, Rapunzel. Just be yourself." She said while fixing his Corona's sun gold pendant necklace into the middle of his suit so that it rested against his heart only for him to pull her into a quick but passionate kiss. "Oh, you're excited about this welcoming as well, my sunshine?" She asked before kissing him back lovingly than carefully painted her lips with strawberry enfused oil to make her lips a little redder and shine like rubies.

Rapunzel: "I'll try for you, my lovely starlight~" He whispered into her ear as he watched her paint her lips which tempted him to kiss her again with more passionate fire within his blood but he held himself back at least for later. "Shall we go welcome the guests?" He asked while holding his right arm outwards to Y/n as she hooked her arm through it as they walked off towards the front of the castle's main doors to stand beside the king and queen with Cassius behind Rapunzel and Y/n as Pascal lied on Y/n's shoulders.

Fanfare music filled the air around the kingdom as carriages approached the greeting royals where Rapunzel politely welcomed the visiting royals and introduced them all to his fair lady love. Y/n curstied elegantly so as the introductions kept going on and on til the pair met a big wig hair wearing duchess whom insulted Rapunzel's etiquette of royal status.

Y/n: "Excuse me, Duchess. But, I truly believe that Rapunzel is perfect just the way he is. Regardless of long or short hair." She spoke up firmly which made the duchess shut her trap in a uncouth huff before she held onto Rapunzel's hand beside her in comfort.

Rapunzel: "Thank you, starlight~" He whispered with a smile as the duchess left the greeting royals as the day faded into the a breathtaking night and full moon ridden sky. He wore more casual clothes and boots at the docks as he looked out towards the waters rippling along the breeze while Y/n walked up towards him in her old thief gear.

Y/n: "Don't let that so called duchess insults get to you, Rapunzel." She said while sitting down beside Rapunzel and leaned against him to rest her head onto his right shoulder.

Rapunzel: "I'm not, just thinking about some things." He said before sighing deeply to look down at Y/n while he wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her up onto his lap. "Is this all you've ever dreamed things could become of?" He asked while Y/n hummed softly at his question.

Y/n: "Honestly, Rapunzel, nothing is going to be perfect in life but know this. You are my dream, the love of my life, and nothing will ever change how I feel about you." She said while caressing his lower jaw which made him look down at her with loving eyes. "As long as I'm beside you, I'm always happy and my answers will always be "yes". Even though, I feel like there's more out there for us." She said while Rapunzel sighed softly against her head.

Rapunzel: "Y/n, what's wrong? Are you feeling alright, are those dreams bothering you?" He questioned while Y/n looked at him with wide eyes. "I love you with all my heart, Y/n but if you need anything, and I mean anything than I'll do everything I can to make your dreams a reality." He said truthfully while he ran his fingers through her shoulder lengthed h/c hair slowly to calm her worries.

Y/n: "Rapunzel, I traveled across all the seven kingdoms, I've seen the world and more but nothing is better than being here with you, your family, our friends, and each other." She said before taking hold of Rapunzel's hands into her own to hold tightly on. "I love you, so much and that is an never-ending dream of mine now." She said while Rapunzel gave her a charming smile and the two slowly leaned towards each other to kiss another only to the romantic atmosphere to be interrupted again but this time by Cassius.

Cassius: "Rapunzel, Y/n, did you both forget that you both have a couple's outing together tomorrow?" He asked while the couple separated to look up at him.

Rapunzel: "Cass, seriously what's with you and your father interrupting romantic atmospheric moments?" He questioned sarcastically before standing up and helped Y/n up onto her feet than escorted each other back to the castle and gave his love a kiss goodnight at the doors of her chambers. "Goodnight, my beautiful starlight~." He said as Y/n kissed him back.

Y/n: "Goodnight, my handsome sunshine." She said before shutting the doors behind her with a gentle sigh. "Gods, I love that man~" She said while getting ready for bed to rest.
