Naina entered the apartment, Sameer following after her. They both were feeling the awkwardness after every thing that had happened.

"Good night Sameer. Aur thank you. Pav bhaji bohot acchi thi" she said, setting her sofa-cum-bed, not meeting his eyes

'Pav bhaji? Isse bas wahi yaad hai?' Sameer thought

"Naina aaj tum aake andar so jao"

Naina took his words in some other way and said-

"Paagal toh nahi ho gaye ho? Licence nahi mila hai koi mister. Samjhe tum" she seemed hell angry now

"Arre Naina, har baat pe yeh Devi banna zaroori hai kya? Main keh raha tha aaj main yahan sofe pe so jaunga. Tumne kya socha?Aur kis baat ki licence?" Knowing fully what she meant

"Kuch nahi. Aur main yahin theek hun" she said, feeling sorry for her outburst.

Sameer came near her and whispered in her ear-

"Woh licence bhi mil jayegi bohot jald. Tab tak sapnon se hi kaam chala lunga"
And he was gone the next moment.

It took a while for Naina for his words to sink in and when it did, it left her mortified that he'd got what she meant by 'licence'

*Next Day*
Naina took out all the sarees that were drying out in the balcony and started packing them in her suitcase.

"Naina, Jaana zaroori hai kya? Aur ab toh iss society ki secretary ko bhi humse koi problem nahi hai. Abhi abhi toh mili ho mujhe. Aise mein main kaise jaane doon tumhe?" Sameer said pulling out the sarees from her luggage

"Sameer. Zid mat karo. Main yahan aur nahi reh sakti." Naina said, taking the sarees from him

"Kyun? Aisa kya ho gaya hai?" Sameer was confused

'Aisa waisa kuch ho na jaye isiliye toh..' Naina thought how to make him understand, biting her lip.

"Samjha karo na please. Aur hum milte rahenge na"

"Mujhe kuch nahi samajhna..Naa hi sunna hai. Tum nahi jaa rahi and its final." Sameer was on his edge now.

"Humari shaadi nahi hui hai Sameer. Aur iss tarah hum aise ek saath nahi reh sakte." Naina said, raising her voice

"Toh chalo mere saath. Abhi. Court marriage kar lete hai. Agar tumhe mere saath rehne ke liye ek stamp ki zaroorat hai toh wahi sahi" he said, pulling her towards himself

"Main aisa kuch bhi nahi karungi" Naina said, looking at him incredulously

"Accha toh tumhe humare judicial system par bharosa nahin hai. Toh chalo mandir mere saath phere lene. Main kuch intezaam karta hoon"

"Tum paagal ho? Aise kaise koi shadi kar sakta hai?"

"Aur bhi tareeke hai kya? Batana zara."

"Tum bhool rahe ho ki meri ek poori family baithi hai Ahmedabad mein"

"Toh baithi rahe na. Main kaun sa unhe uthane jaa raha hoon?"

"Har baat pe mazaak mat kiya karo. Agar unhe thodi si bhi khabar lag gayi na- hum toh gaye. Poori tarah se"

"Toh unhe batana hi kyun hai. Waise bhi kaun sa parwah karte hain woh tumhari? Ab toh seedha humare bacche ke naamkaran mein bulayenge unko. Kuch bol bhi nahi payenge woh shock ke maare" Sameer chuckled

"Tum..tum bacchon tak bhi pohonch gaye?" Naina said, her face turning red

"Nahin abhi tak mere khayal toh honeymoon mein hi atke rehte hai. Bacchon ke baare mein baad mein sochunga" he said wrapping his arms around her, kissing her hair

"Besharam ho tum"

"Bas tumhare liye" he said, tightening his hold on her

Naina was on the phone with her sister after a long time and she thought whether to tell her about Sameer or not. She decided at last that it was too early for such a revelation-

"Aur bata Naina, aisa kya kiya ki woh Sharad ke upar se tere aashiqui ka bhoot hi utar gaya?"

"Maine toh kuch bhi nahi kiya." Naina said, innocently

"Zyada ban mat. Kuch toh kiya hai tune. Jo bhi ho. Jaan chooti uss gadhe se. Jeena haram kar rakha tha uske parivaar ne. Kabhi bhi tapak padte the. Aur kal tu uss naye wale hostel mein shift ho rahi hai na?"

"Pata nahi" Naina said, in dilemma. She didn't want to go there even a little bit, but she couldn't stay with Sameer too as it wasn't morally right.

"Behen. Hema ke gharwalon ne udhar hi rehne ke liye kaha hai kya?" Preeti asked, confused

"Kaun Hema?"

"Naina! Woh Hema- jiske ghar par tu abhi reh rahi hai, shayad?" Preeti could know now that she was lying

"Kuch sunai nahi de raha. Phone rakhti hoon main" and immediately cut the call, knowing her sister could read through her lies

She felt guilty of lying to her family several times now and this strengthened her resolve to shift at any cost before she sunk herself in the mountain of lies further.

"Toh jaa rahi ho tum?" Sameer asked, knowing the answer already

"Sameer. Tum bhi yahan ho aur main bhi yahin hun-"

"Yeh filmy dialogues mat jhaado. Kaam nahi kar raha" Sameer said, making a face

Naina took his arm in hers and assured him-

"Milte rahenge na. Aur main bhi dheere dheere apne parivaar waalon se baat karti hun. Maan jayenge shayad"

"Starting na kum khoonkhaar wale se hi karna. Please." Sameer said, hiding his pain

"Kya matlab? Mere parivaar mein sab bhediye baithe hai kya?"

"Samajh toh tum chuki hi hogi. Please kya tum ruk nahi sakti? Main tumhara halwa bhi kha lunga..woh bhi poora. I promise. Bas mat jao"

"Sameer, yeh possible nahi hai. Aur yeh tum bhi jaante ho" Naina shook her head, stacking the last of her luggage near the door for taking it out the next day

Sameer couldn't sleep that night a bit, tossing and turning in his bed often. Whatever little sleep he had, he got nightmares of a similar situation long ago.

Naina, who too didn't get much sleep that night, heard strange sounds coming out of the bedroom. She went inside to investigate and found Sameer, covered in sweat murmuring something-

"Mat jaiye. Please. Main yahan nahi rehna chahta. Bohot maarte hai mujhe idhar"

"Sameer. Utho. Kaun maarte hai tumhe?" Naina shook him, thinking him having a bad dream

Sameer woke up in a daze and immediately hugged her tightly,

"Sameer, woh bas ek bura sapna tha. Aur kuch nahi" Naina said, caressing his hair

"Kaash woh bure sapne hi hote. Ab toh unse nikalne ka sahara bhi nahi raha" he murmured, before sleep overtook him.

So I updated finally 😂😂. Hats off to the writers who can make the plot go forward, kyunki meri ek chapter likhne mein hi lag jaati hai🤣🤣.
