They both remained silent…..

She went to the upper berth and lay down. He moved to the window seat and was thinking about why she started scolding him. He also wondered whether she was pranking him. His eyes were literally filled with tears.... He slept leaning on the window…

He woke up a few hours later and found Yuveda was still sleeping. He saw some tear marks on her face and realised she had cried.

Still, he was so confused about why she fought with him. The train stopped at an intermediate station. He bought two cups of tea from a tea vendor and woke up his wife. She went to the washroom, freshened up, and came back and bought tea from him. He thought he could wait quietly for her to speak.

After a few hours the train arrived in Bangalore. Jeeva already booked a room in a hotel. They both went to the hotel. On the way to the hotel, Yuveda booked another room without telling him. After arriving at the hotel…..

Receptionist : Sir your name?
Jeeva : Jeeva..
Then the receptionist checked the details and gave him a room key… When he was about to go, he also took his wife's bag, but she didn't gave.

Yuveda : Sorry Jeeva… enaku en kovam vanthuchi neh therila…enna konjam thaniya iruka vidu…

Jeeva : Yuve, nee ipadilam pesamaata nu theriyum…aana en ippadi panra…

Yuveda : Jeeva please. Nan vara vazhilaye enaku book paniten online la ye .. She said her name and details to the receptionist and got her room key…

Jeeva : Seri un istam…enamo pannu… nan disturb panala.. aana neeya call panra vara nan panna maaten di…

Both their rooms are on the same floor but in different directions.

Time goes on. She ordered his favourite food and asked the hotel worker to give it in his room…

Jeeva : I didn't order anything.

Worker: Sir, we will be giving food only once after the arrival of the customers. After that, you can order, sir.

Jeeva got the food and was surprised on opening when he found his favorite food, chicken fried rice, inside. He didn't understand anything and guessed it might be Yuveda, the one who ordered and sent it to his room. He smiled and went to eat.

He informed his parents that he had reached bangalore. Then he slept as he was very tired due to travelling…

He got a call at 12.30am and his sleep was disturbed and it was Yuveda who called him.

Jeeva : iva edhuku intha nerathuku call panra…seri edupom.
He attended the call.

They both remained silent… for a few seconds…
Yuveda : Hello.

Jeeva : Hmm sollu

Yuveda : Enaku thaniya iruka bayama iruku…please konjam variya…

He took his phone, went out and locked his room.

Jeeva : 110..111…112…ah 113.. enadi lock panama open la vachirka…

Yuveda : Nee ulla vara than……

He then cut the call and entered the room…

After she said lights on… someone inserted the key and the room was decorated with lights. Yuveda was standing in the middle of the Hall. She blew out the candle which was in her hand…

YUVEDA HUGGED HIM AND WHISPERED "இன்னாளில் பிறந்த என்னவருக்கு இனிய பிறந்தநாள் வாழ்த்துகள்" in his ears…..

Then a few of them shouted "happy birthday to you, Jeeva!" and came out with a birthday cake. He was stunned and surprised. He forgot everything after an unusual fight started by Yuveda.

She introduced her friends, Sriram and Shanaya, from the camp, who worked with Yuveda at Mysore.
Priya and Shriya, her college mates who are working in Bangalore,

Then Yuveda connected the video call to her parents, his parents, and his sister Karthika. He really didn't expect this much surprise. Then they cut the cake, celebrated his birthday, and her friends gave him a gift. She ordered food for everyone from the hotel they were staying at. Then they enjoyed it, she thanked all of her friends for making this surprise and their friends left the room.

Jeeva hugged her and fought innocently with her….

Jeeva : Nan iruntha room number theriyuma di…

Yuveda : hmm theriyum nee po pa…

Then she returned the room key and went to the room where Jeeva stayed….

Jeeva : hey Inga va di.. He dragged her near him…

Yuveda : Sollunga seekram..enaku thookam varuthu tired ah iruku…

Jeeva : Iru enna avasaram…Enaku enga gift uh..

Yuveda : Nane unaku oru gift uh… unaku ilatha gift ah..

She kissed his forehead…

Jeeva : Pathala… intha 50kg gift lam vena…

Yuveda : Apo nan vena ma…

Jeeva: unna illa Chellam.. Nan gift iruka nu ketan..

Yuveda : hm iruku..

She took a gift box from her bag and gave it to him.
He opened the gift wrap and shaked the box near to his ear…

Jeeva : Watch ah…

Yuveda : Ila ma...

He opened the box and on looking at the gift his eyes welled up with happy tears…

He looked at his wife and shook his face. She too happily shook her head and buried her face in his heart with a shy smile.

He then opened a small paper tied with a ribbon which was kept along with the box. He read those words,

   "Happiest Birthday, Jeeva, and you're going to be a daddy soon"!!!!!!

Yes, the pregnancy kit, which indicated with two pink lines that his wife is pregnant, was the gift that brought him to happy tears.

Jeeva could not speak in bliss. He said that it would be the best gift forever in his life. They both enjoyed the day..
