CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

"Am I interrupting something" Alex asked yet again as he looked from Diana to Ryan trying to get a wrap around how he met them. In each other arms looking at each other as if they could see each other through their eyeballs. If it was possible.

Diana trying to free herself as Ryan released the hold he had on her "No, there is nothing to interrupt" she replied immediately her mind registered what just happened and how there position was giving Alex the wrong idea. She said before Ryan could muster up something to say.

"I was actually on my way out, I slipped and he helped me from falling" Diana explained further as the need to do so surpassed her vulnerability.

Taking a look from Ryan to Diana, Alex came forward about his purpose of showing up at her office. "Actually, am here to get you" he couldn't help but say it with a satisfying tone to make Ryan disturbed as he knew he had feelings for Diana. He had always known that he had a soft spot for her.

Alex took upon himself that this was the right time to stake his claim on Diana and set Ryan back that he had no chance or whatsoever with Diana. Which was why he said " We are gonna be late for our date darling " this he did with a smirk on his face to spite Ryan even more.

Ryan just stood there as he watched everything unfold. Surprise, hurt and anger, all three emotions that he felt all at once as he tried as much as humanly possible to hide it from the prying eyes of Alex waiting to be satisfied for striking a nerve in him.

Just as Ryan was about to say whatever he had in his mind he was cut short by Diana.

"I really have to go Ryan, see you next week?" She said and asked at the same time.

"Yeah, sure" Ryan simply replied.

"Have a great weekend then" Diana said as she left with Alex.

Well that was easy, Diana registered with a sigh as she walked along side with Alex to the elevator and he was quiet. Which only made her more nervous and uneasy than she was already.

If only she knew what was going on through his mind, he should be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt seeing she believed everything he had told her earlier.

The need to trust one another was substantial more than ever. She said to herself to assure and appeal to her wandering wild thoughts.

Just when they both stepped into the empty elevator to take them both to the ground floor Alex finally said something.

"You know he likes you" he simply stated but it sounded rather like a question.

"But you know I like you" Diana said instead looking at Alex as if he needed to see her face to believe her.

"You are changing the topic" Alex pointed out now facing her fully

"It doesn't matter, what matters now is that we are both together"
now"

"Just as we should be" Alex agreed. Mainly because he didn't want to ruin the remaining time left for them to spend together for the day by discussing about Ryan. He trust Diana enough to know she has eyes for only him and he wanted it to stay that way forever.

Forever? Yeah, he wanted it to be forever. The first time he felt something for a woman, wanted forever. This was all happening so fast. A part of him wanted someone to wake him up from this wild dream and another part wanted to live in this ecstacy forever.

Yes, forever.

Only that it wasn't a dream. It was life itself. Reality in clear version.

***

Alex drove up shortly at Diana's apartment before the exact time he had said he would pick her up, by nine. He had booked a whole restaurant for their date. First official date. He wanted it to be perfect and memorable. No paparazzi or unwanted disturbance or whatsoever. Just the both of them.

So when he drove up at her apartment later in the evening, it was with great excitement. He helped himself out of his sport car and walked all the way up to her door.

He raised his hands to click on the doorbell, but it opened before he had a chance. Before him stood Diana and all his thoughts vanished with her appearance.

"My God, could you look anymore beautiful" he stated mesmerized with her bewitching look. His dark eyes running over her in heated approval.

Diana was dressed in a blue short dress but still managed to bring out her hour glass shape. her dark lustre hair worn down, hanging loose to the small of her back with the ends curling. her makeup was beyond magnificent. It brought out her eyes a lot more better. Her blue-green eyes was given a smoky sexy look that made him want to stare at it even more and her lips was seductively covered with red lipstick. She was prefect. Her long legs was graced with a black heels. Everything about her was different but in in a good way, from her looks to her dress.

Alex caught the tantalizing fragrance of some softly bewitching perfume on her as she opened the door wider which made the late night cool, cold breeze blow the fragrance even more to his nose. It smelled like vanilla but it wasn't. He was so engrossed from checking her out that he didn't notice he had began to state a little much longer than normal.

"Is there something on my face" Diana asked touching her face for any foreign matter on it.

"No... You look divine Diana" Alex said with great delight as his eyes shone with pleasure.

To this Diana replied with a sincere smile that graced her lips reaching her eyes. " Thank you, you look lovely as well" she commented.

Alex was dressed in a dark suit that was the well fitting showcasing his broad chests and strong arms underneath. His hair was styled perfectly as it was palmed backwards and it's shined brightly as it was dyed black. He was hot and definitely handsome.

"I will be with you in a moment" Diana said.

"Am I too early" When she made a move to leave him at the doorway to return inside.

"No... Not at all you came just in time. Let me just grab my purse."
She grabbed her purse and keys. She pulled her apartment door closed behind her.

The drive to the restaurant Alex booked for was rather short than expected, his fast sport car eating up the miles in time. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful just the way Alex had anticipated. They were led to their spot by the waiter. After looking through the menu they both ordered their desired food.

The meal was long over when Diana finally looked at her watch. She was shocked to realize that four hours had passed since they'd arrived at the restaurant. It was almost midnight!

"I think I'd better head home," Diana said tentatively, amazed that they had so much to talk about that they'd spent four hours in each other's company without a single argument. In fact, she couldn't remember a more pleasant evening.

To be honest she has learnt a lot of things about Alex over the course if their meal. Single child, loves his parents but as is it seems his father was proving rather difficult to love one of these days with his unfathomable arranged marriage of a thing. Alex couldn't be any more displeased with it than he was already.

Typical Alex had assured her she had nothing to worry about, not that it had helped calmed her down that she had a chance with him, nevertheless she wanted to be calm for him and see where this new relationship leads them.

A good and solid place she hoped.

Alex didn't say a word but threw down some large bills to cover the check, then stood up, putting a hand in the small of Diana's back as they made their way out of the still empty restaurant.

Diana had never had someone as strong yet gentle touch her in such a protective way. She was stunned to realize how nice it felt. It was almost as if he were branding her in some way as his, yet still cherishing her presence. Normally, she didn't like possessiveness in a man. But the idea of belonging to Alex wasn't as unpalatable as she wished it would be. It was wonderful and soul calming.

This was all new to Alex. Going on a date, hell! He doesn't do dates. He was more of the no strings attached kinda of relationship and the ladies he had it with understood the basis but with Diana it was different. Different in a whole new way. He was ready to be involved regardless of strings attachment or whatsoever.

So he had come clean to Diana once more of his clear intentions through the course of their dinner. She needed to know the type of guy he was and the kind of man he wants to be for her. A faithful and dedicated one.

They spoke of general subjects on the ride from the restaurant to her apartment. Diana couldn't help but feel rather blessed and highly loved to be with Alex. He was too handsome, too wealthy, too charming, too stimulating in every aspect of his personality. He had too many women, which he was more than willing to let go to be with her. She also had to admit that she liked his kisses too much. Way too much considering they haven't kissed quite a lot bit still...

She told him she didn't need him to walk her to the door when they arrived at her place but he simply smiled and got out of his car to open the passengers door.

"Now what kind of a boyfriend would I be" he said in objection as he followed her all the way to her apartment.

"Huh huh, boyfriend?" Diana feigned innocence.

Alex only smiled as they were finally right in front of her apartment's door now.

At the door, Diana's hands were shaking so much of clear awareness that Alex was now standing so close to her. How much he still managed to make her legs go weak just with his mere close contact that she dropped her key and, before she could pick it up, Alex had picked it up off the floor and had it in his hand and stuck it into the lock. But he didn't turn the key. He looked directly at her.

As soon as their eyes met, Diana knew what was going to happen. It seemed inevitable and her breath caught in her throat, butterflies flittering through her stomach.

Alex took her into his arms and kissed her, this time with all the pent up desire that he had held at bay earlier. How he had wanted to kiss her already since he sets his eyes on her that evening.

Diana thrilled to it, met each kiss with the same intensity. Her arms immediately wound around his neck, her fingers gently touching the hair at the nape of his neck, twining into the softness.

Alex's lips were not gentle this time. They were demanding. And they demanded that she open her mouth. As soon as she complied, his tongue invaded, enticing her to a higher level of passion. And she was more than ready to meet him there.

He picked her up, Diana's back pushed against the front of her door. She wrapped her legs around his waist and arched into him, feeling his need and knowing she had the same need. With her back and head confined by the wall, and the front of her confined by an equally hard body, Diana was lost in the continuous kiss as his lips moved from her mouth, to her neck, nibbling and making Alex cry out as he found a sensitive spot she never knew existed at the base of her throat.

They both seem to lose any ounce of self control when they are around eachother. The flame of desire burning enormously with a great magnitude.

In the distance, Diana heard an annoying buzzing sound which came from beside her door but didn't want Alex to stop, so she ignored it. Unfortunately, the persistent noise wouldn't go away. The buzzing sound woke up her sixty year old neighbor who looked out of her door, complete with curlers and flowered, muumuu robe.

"Diana Blume ! " Ms. Brenda exclaimed as she took in her innocent neighbor with her legs wrapped around a tall, strange man's waist, kissing as if there were no tomorrow.

It took another moment for Diana to realize that someone else had spoken. As soon as she noticed the huge flowered woman looking at them askance, Diana face filled with color. She dropped her legs and pushed Alex away. Pushing at her hair, which was now completely disorderly since Alex's hands had been running through it, she turned around, to apologize to Ms. Brenda for the late night disturbance.

Ms. Brenda looked at both her and Alex before she finally made a move to return back to her room.

Alex put one hand on either side of Diana closed door and let his head drop, forcing the sexual frustration to go away. Once he was a little more in control, he pushed away from the doorway and looked around to see if they had woken up any more of her neighbors which came out negative.

"Wow. I didn't really realize it was this late." Diana said as she tried to ease the tension that had ensued.

"Yeah, it's really late. Alex agreed brushing his hands through his hair where Diana's hands had been seconds ago.

" I had a really great time" Diana stated.

"Yeah, me too." Alex replied ostentatiously.

Before Diana could turn back to her door and unlock the key in the lock already. Alex pulled her closer to him yet again catching her kissed swollen lips in a gentle but passionate kiss.
