"Got something on tonight" Ryan inquired of Diana layer in the week, rising from his seat .

Apparently Ryan had drove himself and Diana to the point of exhaustion all through that day, so that it was late in the night.

Diana flushed "yes as a matter of fact"

"Have fun, then". Ryan replied gathering his things to close for the day

" Goodnight " she said stiffly, turning away, only to collide with Ryan who'd moved to open the door for her. She stumbled but he grabbed her by her elbow before she hit the ground to steady her, breathing sharply as his fingers closed around her arms, her bare skin, she didn't feel the way she did when Alex had touched her but it sure felt almost close enough to confuse her.

She couldn't be attracted to Ryan to, could she?

Diana stared up into his dilated eyes in dismay, paralysed by the heat rushing through her veins at his touch. He was wonderfully handsome, but not as handsome as Alex.

Now she was comparing Alex and Ryan. What the hell had gotten into her this night, she mentally scolded herself.

Ryan let her go slowly as though his hands were reluctant to perform his brain bidding. He must have felt the heat, she realized.

Immediately he released her, she backed away from him like a sleepwalker only that she was faster to regain her stand, then the sound of voices in the corridor outside brought her back to life with a jolt, she said thank you and literally fled from the room.

She drove home that night, twice her usual speed, ignoring her car sick feeling, hell bent on putting as much distance between herself, Ryan and Alex as possible.

This, she told herself convincingly could not be happening.

Two men at a time, she needed to get a grip on herself she told herself as she drove home.

She didn't like both men very much, she defended false fully to herself. Resented both of them, yet one touch from both of them she was reduced to jelly.  And she wished now that she could just go hiding and also pour out everything she was feeling to her friend Rachel. She would know what to do. So instead of driving home she went straight to Rachel's house.

  Rachel's eyes narrowed "confused?, how?, Should I choose for you" Diana knew her friend was enjoying this.

So instead of telling her how confused she was she went for " which of your questions am I to answer first " she supplied.

"You know what dear,tell me everything cause you are not leaving here until this is settled"

Diana knew her friend wouldn't let her go, now that she was curious, so then she gave in by starting with her date with Alex to which her friend's eyebrow lift with utter surprise.

He should have never lied to  Diana, Alex admitted to himself a week after as he laid on his bed to sleep that night.

That whole week had been like hell to him. He thought he could forget her as easily as signing a business deal, but no, his heart couldn't have it.

How could he forget her when all he sees was her face every moment he tries to close his eyes. He could still feel the soft and delicate taste of her full pink lips on his, it felt as if it was just yesterday and he wanted to feel it all over again.

To this he suddenly felt a burst of warmth, a sweet rush of joy and bubbling excitement unlike anything he had ever felt or known  before, Which made him realized what he was throwing away. 

Then and there, he determined that he was going to get her back and make her his. He was going to give it a try and see where it would lead them both.

With this Alex felt a deep sense of relief rush over him. That's the spirit guy he said to himself in the enormous space of his bedroom and let his thoughts be filled with blissful moment to come with Diana as he moved with with great excitement on his bed from one side to the other.

That night Alex slept in peace than he had even had in the earlier days of the week.
