Next morning, slightly depressed after sleeping far better than expected, Alex arrived in the car park to find Diana Blume dropped off by a car there before him.

Diana made her way to go into the giant building before her, on the lower floor to the entrance was inscribed boldly

'BOUKJAY COMPANY' there was also another on the top floor just that it wasn't visible until one take about twenty steps right back to see it. Diana  taking close observation of  the area before stepping in.

Alex  hid his face,he didn't want her to see him yet. At the thought of how her beauty glowed he forgot the impressive stranger that dropped her off,  in a surge of excitement he got down from his car, the weather was perfect, the June morning sun was shining, the sky was cloudless and looked as pretty and innocent as a Christmas card. Alex allowed the early morning wind to blow his hair freely. He closed the door of his lotus freely and locked it with its remote.

   Diana rarely wore black or brown which tended to quench her natural colour, to match her mood she wore a tailored navy suit with a severe collarless jacket and slim skirt, with only a crisp white lawn handkerchief tucked in one of the breast pocket to soften the effect.

The foyer was deserted at this hour, with this realization she made her way towards the elevator. Diana sighed with satisfaction as she pressed the buttons for the elevator, when she stepped out of the elevator on the last floor of the building she lingered a little, admiring the view from the windows which lined the corridor of Boukjay company. The town of Texas gleamed in the sunshine.

In her orderly new office she hung up her jacket, tucked her white silk shirt neatly in place then ran a comb through her bright black hair which fell in glossy layers and curls across her forehead down to her back in long strides. She checked her nose for shine, added a touch of discrete colour to the curves of her mouth she considered too full for a brighter shade, lastly she straightened her skirt.

   At last she allowed herself to check whether Mr Ryan was around already. Only to stop dead in the doorway astonished to find him already there, standing tall at the door front. Unlike yesterday he was amazingly before her. She stiffened as their gaze locked, neither of them said anything for a millisecond due to the strange awkwardness perhaps. But then Diana managed to say

"Good morning''  giving a fake smile making it oblivious as possible, but Ryan only replied with a nod.

With that she knew what this was about as she could see through him for her to know that he was still flummoxed about Mr Alex behavior, display she would rather call it. She had decided to take everything nice and slow not also forgetting to be formal while at it.

"I uh ...didn't see your car when I arrived". She said to break the obvious awkward silence. 

" That's  because I  brought another one'' he replied as he slowly receded from his previous position  " you are very early today'' he remarked.

  She smiled faintly " Not really because as it seems you are the early bird Mr Ryan.

"Would you mind telling me what Alex attitude was about last night ?'' he asked out of the blue, with this Diana went still blushing at the memory of it.

Apparently she was about to provide an answer only to be interrupted by Alex. Speak of the devil and he shall appear, this she made a mental note to.

'' Morning to you two, how do u do Miss Blame?" Alex said in a voice half an octave deeper than the drawling tones of his father, laying  much emphasis on the question directed to her.

'Why did he had to show up now'  she questioned, asking no body in particular. With every hair in her spin rising with revolt she turned to meet the cold appraising eyes of his.

  " How do you do , Mr Alex " she said with composure then glanced at Ryan

" I've a lot to do, if you will... She began only to be cut off by Alex

"No wait" He said and smiled at her.

Diana would have sold her soul to escape, to put her office door between herself and Alex. what is there to wait for she thought.

She couldn't help but wonder how long he'd been standing there watching the awkwardness between her and Ryan, not that it mattered. She looked away as Alex's eyes meet hers.
 

"Hello! Everyone early birds" Rachel said beaming with smile. Diana raised her head unheavie of her thought and raised her eyebrow in appreciation to her friend, she had just been saved from the most  awkward moment ever.

Awkward or strange she wasn't sure enough, perhaps she wasn't sure of what she felt towards Alex but she did know awkward and strange did make a weird combination for her feelings... That was certain.
