Tan Diamond is the current ruler of a mostly unknown planet system, and the owner of many Pearls. She's strangely bird-like, but isn't corrupt and this occurred from an accident with old Gem tech left behind by the previous owner. Though some think the older Diamond left if intentionally to use it later but disappeared before they could. Despite that, Tan lives without much worry and is rather kind and friendly to all she encounters. Her peculiar behavior is due to not being raised by other Diamonds. Caring and gentle, she will do what it takes to ensure her Power Pearls thrive in the safety of her care.

Tan is covered in feathers, and if you could touch them you'd find their rather soft and silky to the touch. But thanks to her size, most find it hard to even reach anything but her toes. She lacks boots, and instead has talons. Her tail usually is closed, though she may spread it when she fully extends her wings. Her back wings are armed in claws and can be used as hands too. Their massive length when unfolded leads to Tan usually rarely opening them. Her gem arm has her actual hand, but the wing on it is rarely used. The stubby arm seems badly scarred, and evidently the projection there for the other arm is too badly damaged for it to show. As a result, all you can see is a stub, something usually hidden by a prosthetic.

Tan's flight is restricted, as she can't fly all that well with a missing arm. She used to try, but too many crashes left her grounded. She just uses a re-purposed warship, once owned by Dark Brown Diamond. This craft is rather flimsy, and generally crashes a lot leaving her stranded. If Tan flies with her wings, she does pretty well at first but eventually loses balance and crashes into the ground.

Tan once left for a chore leaving her Pearl and her planet alone for 1,000yrs. Her Pearl's loyalty and patience never wavered and she was thrilled when Tan finally returned. While Tan has never told anyone where she went, it probably wasn't too important. Tan's connection to the canon Diamonds is mostly thin; She's partly the one to keep to herself though she still reports to them any updates regarding her Power Pearls if they request it. Otherwise she rules her system without outside help.

Those who visit Tan's HQ may find her asking them if they want one of her free-living Power Pearls. Because she has too many. And sometimes, those Power Pearls who found themselves lost and without guidance find their own owners even if they've never met Tan herself. 

Tan's aura power turns Gems into birds, though only temporarily.
