The task for this contest was to create a fantasy manipulation of a mythical creature with the character being a person of colour. This time I decided to go with a mermaid.

Super happy with this piece because for once I decided to try out a light themed graphic and I actually made it my goal to create the whole scene from scratch using resources. Making the mermaid was the hardest part. It was composed of body parts from at least 6 different images. Then I also had to paint in the rest of the skin myself. Wasn't about to go looking for nude pics, the ones I found of Zoe Salanda were as far as I was willing to go 👀🥴
