Ray's pov

We were in training with a new creature from the veil when I heard the creature's voice. This is not uncommon to me. I have been hearing creature voice since I first started Kaijudo. I can tell that the creature was frightened and confused to what was happening. He's never been tamed before so everybody was treating him win caution. I tried to go up to him too soothe his nerves but someone had taken him to the arena. I have a bad feeling about this. Me, Allie, and Gabe watch the training go on and I can hear the creature's voice begging for help.

"What is happening to me? Where am I? Why can you not hear me?" The frightened creature asked but to everyone else, he was just making chattering sounds.

"Allie, he sounds so..scared. This big, scary looking creature is afraid of us. And we are smaller than him. He is begging for help." I explained as I heard his cries.

It was the last straw when they start to whip him hard and fast repeatedly. Against Allie's words, I jumped over the bar and rushed to protect the creature.

"Ray don't!" Allie shouted.

I put up a shield to protect myself along with the creature. The trainer were in shock as I put down the shield.

"Leave him alone." I growled at them.

"Raydon, get back to your seat." Nigel ordered.

"No." I argued as I back away from the tall creature slowly. "Hey big fella. It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." I tried to soothed.

"Ray get away from that." A trainer ordered.

"I am going to prove that he is not going to harm me." I challenged as I held my arms up in the arm.

"Can you hear me?" The creature asked softly.

"Yes I can. I will not harm you okay." I said as I took off my gauntlet in a sign of good faith.

"Why can't they hear me?" He asked shyly.

"I don't know why they can't hear you. Honesty, I hardly know why I can hear you." I admitted with a chuckle.

"Why did they hurt me with the long thin rope?" He asked.

"They needed to be in control of you." I explained sadly.

"Well that's not nice." He said as he relaxed his long black tail.

"I know it's not." I said with a chuckle as I placed my arms at my side.

I slowly put my hand up and he moved his snot to my palm. He nudged my softly into my palm as the room gasped.

"You didn't mean to lash out like that." I said as I rubbed his snot.

"It was an accident. I am from the nature civilization and my tribe is very peaceful. We don't harm anyone." He explained.

"I figured. Alright stay here and try to cooperate with the trainers ok." I said to him as i lightly pat his side.

"All they had to do was ask nicely." The creature said.

I walked back to the stands and approached the trainers.

"He's from the Nature civilization and his tribe is very peaceful. He doesn't harm anybody. And don't whip him, try asking him nicely." I explained as they face turned into shocked ones.

"How did you talk to him?" One of the trainers asked.

"I honestly have no idea. I guess I am actually listening to them." I answer unsurely.

The trainers went back to the creature and try asking him to move. I smiled at the creature reaction as Master Nigel and Master Chavez walked over to me and Allie.

"Ray, how did you understand the creature?" Master Chavez asked.

"To be honest, I don't really know." I admitted to him honestly.

"How long have you know about this ability." Master Chavez asked.

"A few weeks actually." I replied.

"Come with me Raydon." Master Jaha ordered as he walked to the tables.

Me, Gabe, and Allie followed him. Master Chavez summoned Gilaflame into the room.

"Ray, can you understand Gilaflame." Chavez asked.

"Hello Raydon. Why did my Master summoned me today?" Gilaflame asked in a polite yet stern tone.

"I can. He asked why did you summon him?" I translated.

"How can you understand them?" Master Nida asked.

"I honestly don't have a clue. I just understand them." I explained.

"Wait, you can understand me?" Gilaflame asked in shock.

"Yes I can. New ability I guess." I answer him.

"Hm. I always assumed that you humans could never understand us. I guess I was proven wrong." He added.

"I have proven a lot of people wrong today. Gilaflame can I ask you something?" I said with a small chuckle.

"Anything." He offered.

"How do I sound like to you?" I asked curiously.

"You sound as if I was talking to one of my fellow brothers." He answered.

"That's really cool." I said with an excited chuckle.

"What did he say?" Allie asked.

"He said that I sound like of his own kind. But to me he sounds like I'm talking to one of you." I explained.

"Cool." Gabe said.

"I think we can use this skill in the future." Master Nadia said hopefully.

Master Chavez sent Gilaflame back to the Fire Civilization. I used my new found powers to talk to the creatures that are in cages. I found it really cool
