I know I know I'm late on the update. I was gonna give a lame reason but no instead I'll tell you the truth. I didn't update because I forgot. I'm sorry. But still I love you and all the wonderful support you have given me!❤️ So this chapter would be longer than most of my other ones. I enjoy reading all of your hilarious comments as well. I might not reply to all of them but trust me I read all of them. This chapter will be a little different because instead of going back and forth POV it's going to be all Marinette.

Taming Agreste

3 months later.........
School has ended just a few weeks ago. Nothing's really changed. Aside from the occasional small glances and greeting Adrien stood true to his word. He gave her time, more time, and more.
He still loves her.
She isn't very sure.

MARINETTE POV
"Yassss gurl you totes need to wear that to my summer party."

Shyly I reply, "Really? Isn't it a little too tight."

"Nooo that's what make it look so good on you girlfriend."

"Thank you-"

Suddenly the door busts open.

"DAD I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE MARINETTE ALONE!" Haliey shouts while pointing a finger accusingly at Mr. Agreste.

He pouts and turns away from me, "But Hailey, me and Marinette are having a girl timee."

"YOUR NOT A GIRL DAD!"

"But-bu" tears starts leaking out of his sad blue eyes.

Quickly I interfere, "Don't worry Mr.Agreste we can have time to talk and plan out your summer party later."

He lits up instantly, "Okay and call me Gabriella."

Smiling and giggling he skips off, pushing past Hailey.

Hailey rolls her eyes and sits down next to me, "I am so sorry about dad, I don't know how you put up with him."

"It's fine, it's really fun to see his reactions and I enjoy talking to him."

"Oh Marinette your too nice, so anyways is that what your wearing."

I look down to see the red and black dress that Mr. Agrest- I mean Gabriella gave to me.

"I guess or else Gabriella's going to be mad."

Hailey smiles, "You look great Mari."

Her face falls slightly, "But Mari since your my best friend your going to sit with us."

"Yeah so?"

She hesitates before replying, "No matter how much I hate it but "he" is gonna sit with us too."

I freeze instantly knowing exactly who "he" was.

"That's all right I mean I see him around the house to so it's not like it's going to be much different."

"About that..........

Umdadputyouandadriennexttoeachotherbecausehestillshipsyouitoldhimnottobuthewouldnotlisten."

"What was that." I heard what she said but I wanted to confirm it.

"Dad put you and Adrien next to each other because he still ships you, I told him not to but he wouldn't listen."

My world falls. No.
"It's fine Hailey besides I need to face my fears and talk to him."

Hailey smiles, "He does love you still."

"I don't know."

"But do you have feelings or..."

I grimace, "Well..."

"Do you feel any sparks?"

"I mean....."

Hailey looks at me straight in the eyes, "Fine I'll cut to the chase, do you love him?"

"I d..........."
(You thought I'll tell you sike 😂)

Later skipping to the summer party.

Getting ready for the party was not hard.

What was hard was going there and sitting next to Adrien.

I forgive him but I'm scared.

I don't know why I'm scared.

"Marinette, helllooooo"

Snapping out of my thoughts I look up to see Hailey all dressed up.

"Hailey you look beautiful!"

Hailey had her long blond hair tied up into a high ponytail which flowed down like a waterfall. She wore light mascara with pink lipstick, and a small bit of blush. Hailey's dress was a flowing baby blue dress that goes down to her knees with a sea green ribbon tied around her waist forming into a bow. She wore kitten heels that matched her dress.

She twirls around before smiling at me, "You look so pretty, Marinette!"

Seeing Hailey made me feel slightly unsure of myself.

Believing it was a simple party I wore no make-up at all expect for chapstick if you count that. My hair was tied back with a red ribbon. My dress was beautiful thanks to Gabriella. It was a red dress similar to Hailey's style. Then starting from my waist my dress had black polka dots. Underneath I wore a plain black flats.

"Really Hailey?"

"Yes, Marinette don't doubt yourself, you are beautiful no matter what."

Hearing her say that made me smile a bit.

Smiling brightly I grab Hailey's arm, "Well then if I look great and you look great, let's go."

She links her arm through mine, "Lets go."

Stepping out of her room we went into the back yard where the party was.

Yes, their backyard was big enough to have a party.
(Those darn rich people)

We were happy.

Me and Hailey went around to greet everyone, even Chloe.

And it turns out that wearing a ton of make-up was bad during the water fight, Chloe learned that the hard way.

Before long it was time for Gabriella to show off his new summer collection.

This was the moment that I dreaded.

Hailey took my hand, "You can do this."

I smile back at her, "I hope so."

"No, I know so."

So there we went, heading over to our personal table.

There sat Adrien and another girl?

She was pretty, too pretty for comfort.

She had shining black hair and gorgeous deep brown eyes. She wore a green dress, most likely to match Adrien's green tie.

She had a hand resting on Adriens, looking quite happy.

I'm not the girl to get mad over jealousy and I know my place.

If he moved on I respect it. Beside I can't complain I was the one to turn him down.

It's not his fault at all and I'm not going to blame him.

Hailey senses my discomfort and squeezes my hand slightly.

We walk over to them bravely.

Adrien looks up to notice me and stops.

He pulls his hand away from the mysterious girl.

She flinches at the action and looks up also to see what had caused it.

She then smiles at me softly, "Hi I'm Emily."

"Hello, I'm Marinette. "

Adrien nervously looks at me, "Hey Marinette, how's it going."

To his surprise I respond, "I'm fine how are you."

He mumbles a good and looks away blushing slightly.

Emily notices this and excuses herself right away, "It's nice meeting you Adrien, but I gotta go sit with my fiancé now. It was nice meeting you too Marinette."

Adrien looks surprise before bidding her a farewell.

Emily turns to smile at me one last time and then heads off.

So there we stood in the awkward silence.

"Lets sit down." Hailey says to break the silence.

Nodding I take my reserved seat next to Adrien.

Gathering up my courage I turn towards him, "Why aren't you up there?"

"Well father and I had decided that I would model for his next line wet and dripping so I got to get out of this one."

"Whys that?"

He smirks, "That's cause I'm dripping with good looks."

Before going on he notices my face and quickly apologizes, "I'm sorry is that too much?"

Seeing his face clicked something inside of me.

I laugh slightly, "It's fine, it really is."

His face lights up.

For the rest of the fashion show and party Adrien and I spent time talking.

His usual playful flirting and the things that was going on with his life including his annoying modeling partner Lila.

It felt just like old times.

Hailey would watch and left.

At the end of the day I realized what I was so scared of all this time.

I was scared that when I saw Adrien old feelings would come back again.

And they did.

But maybe...

Just maybe...

That's okay.

Okay I know I said that this chapter would only be about Marinette's POV but I just want to have Emily's real quick so you can understand her a little. I don't like to make girls that fall for Adrien all be brats and annoying whiny girls. So here it is.

EMILY POV
Bumping into Adrien was the best things that could happen.

He is such a gentleman who is so sweet and adorable.

I know I know me being 18 and fawning over a 16 year old might seem immature but he's just so..

different.

So I followed him to his table.

"Hey Adrien!"

He looks up in a shock, "Oh hey...uh what was it again."

"It was Emily."

"Oh hey Emily, do you need anything."

Smiling brightly I reply, "Nothing just wanted to thank you for catching me earlier, do you have a minute to chat."

He scans the area before replying, "Well I'm waiting for my sister but sure you could sit here if you want."

So I sat down.

We talked and talked, well I talked and talked.

He seemed a little distant, like he was thinking of something.

I shook off that feeling and reached for his hand. I wanted to feel a connection.

He pulls away slightly but when he sees a little hurt in my eyes he lets me hold it.

I felt something I really did, but him on the other hand....didn't.

Then suddenly he yanks his hand away.

He was looking off in a different direction.

I follow his glaze to see a girl with beautiful blue eyes.

Beside her stood someone that I could guess was his sister based on how much they looked alike.

I look at her gently, "Hi I'm Emily."

"Hello, I'm Marinette. "

Adrien nervously at her, "Hey Marinette, how's it going."

I can't help wonder if she's Adrien's girlfriend.

She responds, "I'm fine how are you."

He then mumbles a good and looks away blushing slightly.

I notice this and then suddenly understand.

The reason why he was distant, why he kept looking around, and why no matter how hard I tried to make it obvious he made no sign of affection.

I don't want to be that girl that ruins it cause it's painfully obvious he likes her.

So I excuse myself was an excuse.

"It's nice meeting you Adrien, but I gotta go sit with my fiancé now. It was nice meeting you too Marinette."

I walk away but not before turning and smiling at Marinette on last time.

She has no clue how lucky she is.

Heading over I see my friends.

I'll found someone someday, don't know where and don't know how.

But I do know it's won't be Adrien.

Yay!!! This was my longest chapter ever!! So there was Emily story. I didn't want her to be rude or snobby. I wanted her to be a character that actually is nice. I hope you guys liked her. I was going to post this yesterday but I kept having new ideas so I ran out of time to post it yesterday. But it's here now. Thank you for reading my story! ❤️❤️ My writing style has changed a little because I'm trying new ways to write and seeing which one fits me the best. Hopefully you don't mind. Im still a beginner and this is a practice story since I'm planning to be a writer when I grow up. I'm going to be honest the only reason I'm talking so much right now is because I really want to get to 2000 words. Sorry for that selfish reason. But I can't thank you enough 2 month ago I only had 50,000 now I have 70,000!!! Where are all these reads coming from!! I know I say this so many times but thanks! ❤️
