Date chapter - 28
MARIENTTE POV
After the last curl, Hailey shoves me out the door. "Go on and have fun Mari!"
So there I stood, awkwardly in front of Adrien's room, waiting for him to finish.
Inside I can hear ruffling sounds, "darn....where is it.....shoot."
Feeling a little more curious and adventurous I decided to press my head against the door.
There was silence and then the door opened. Time seemed to slow down as I fell.
I closed my eyes, preparing for the impact of hitting the cold, hard floor.
But that never came. Instead I found myself in a pair of muscular arms.
I looked up to see a pair of blazing emerald green eyes staring amusing down at me.
"Hello princess, were you really that eager to see me?" I can see a smirk slowly forming on his lips.
I climb out of his arms and dusted myself off. "Of course not, I was just wondering what took you so long to get ready."
His smirk lingers on his face, "So you had to be pressed up against my door?"
By this time I was already caught so a blush started to spread across my face.
He spots the blush on my face and his smirk widens even more. "Is your face turning red because it's hot or because I'm hot."
I stutter. He presses up against me and brings his lips down to my ears. "I think it's me."
Feeling his breath sent off a warning signal to my brain and I pushed him off. "No, now let's go before it gets too late."
He shrugs and bows down. "Lead away, my lady."
I rolled my eyes at this and pulls on his arms. "Seriously, hurry up I'm horny, I mean hungry."
"Are you sure you don't mean horny?"
I glare at him, "Yes."
He chuckles under his breath and looks into my eyes. "Whatever you say, my lady."
Feeling the blush creeping up on my face I quickly turned away.
"This is going to be a long night."
Time skip to the actual date
Adrien stood by the door and waited for me so he could hold it open.
After thanking him I stepped into the luxury looking diner. It looked really familiar.
Then it hit me, this was Le bon appetite, the crazy expensive restaurant that me and Hailey went to a while back.
I look sheepishly at Adrien. "This place is really expensive, I feel like this place is too much for me."
Adrien's eyes softens as he softly puts his hands on my shoulders. "If this places overwhelms you then we can go someplace else."
"Really?"
He shrugs, "Why not?"
"Are you okay with this. If it's too much trouble for you then we could just stay here." I ask, making sure that it wouldn't be too much trouble with him.
"Of course not so let's go to the restaurant next door. It's less fancy and dramatic."
I nod my head and we start heading towards the restaurant across the road.
When we get there we see a sign on the wooden door saying, "shop closed for repair."
Adrien curses under his breath and turns his head to me. "I'm sorry Marinette, let's just head to le bon appetite.
"It's not your fault. If anything it's my fault."
So we walked back to the previous restaurant. In front stood a young lady with the name tag of, Lisa.
"Sorry guys, but the restaurant is full so you need to leave."
"We have a reservation." Adrien argues back.
She rolls her eyes, looking bored. "Look buddy, something went wrong and you don't have one anymore."
"But-but I need this, I'll even pay extra."
She rolls her eyes again, "That's really not my problem. So sorry handsome, your good looks won't work on me."
Adrien glares at the girl and grabs my wrist. "Let's go Mari."
I wince at the tone of his voice and follows along.
We stepped outside into the cool, night air. Adrien fishes his phone out of his pocket to call the driver.
"I need you to come pick us up now.....what do you mean you can't.......screw the traffic."
He hangs up the phone looking irritated. He paces around the parking lot mumbling curses under his breath.
Then we can hear a loud thunder and see a flash of lightening in the distance.
Next, came the rain. At first, it was light rain drops until it got strong.
So there we stood.
Facing each other in the rain. He blinked his green eyes at me before scrunching up his eyebrows.
He groans and flops down on the curb.
I slowly walked over to him and sit next to him. "Adrien, cheer up."
"How can I? Everything I planned today is ruined. I ruined it." He spats out angrily.
"You didn't ruin anything."
"Yes, I did."
I swat at his head. "No you didn't. Stop saying things like that. Adrien, you tried so hard to make this day great. Even if it didn't turn out how you would have liked it, at least you tried and for that, I think you did amazing planing this date. You're amazing."
He looks up with a faint blush.
There was silence.
Before I knew what was going on a pair of soft lips crashes down into mine.
