"Crud, not this again!"

After the time and effort that we spend during our middle school days, it finally come to its end. 

Years have passed and the three of us: Mirio, Amajiki and I, have decided that we will all go to U.A. Academy for high school and this is where our road to be becoming pro heroes will flourish.

After we took our exams and got the results, we were all happy that we managed to pass and we even get to celebrate it at a local ramen restaurant that is owned by my dad (which happens to be his part time job if he has no hero duty).

Our first hand experience in this school wasn't so bad, well, except for the challenging activities that our teachers are giving us.

But nevertheless, we learned a lot of from it and when time went by, Mirio and Amajiki later on became one of the Big 3 of U.A Academy.

I was really proud of them and I can see the picture now: those three, Nejire being the third member of the Big 3, will definitely become great pro heroes in the future.

"Oww!"

Okay, now let's get back to current events that is happening right now.

Even though I got used to being a U.A. student, there are still times where I am running late...again! 

Only this time, my reason is different but still a bit the same for that matter.

Reason one, I woke up a bit late again because I was training with my mom last night because of her stealth techniques.

Reason two, there was a villain attack that caused a disturbance within the area where the train station I always go to and sadly, they had to cancel their transportation of the trains they have for a while because of this so I had no choice but to fly all the way to school - even if it will waste my stamina.

"Dammit...", I said after I got up from the ground, "I think I shouldn't flap my wings too fast. I think it would be better if I could just run".

I deactivated my quirk and wings finally disappeared before I could sprint all the way to U.A. academy with sweat forming on my forehead.

I checked my watch and I think I will be able to make it on time if I could just continue this pace.

I continued to run and before I could turn to my left, I saw someone running in a U.A. uniform too and when I turned to see who it was -

"T-Tamaki?!"

I abruptly said his name and when he heard it and finally faced me, a surprise expression was written on his face.

"(Y-Y/N)!", Amajiki called out to me and got close to me, "G-Good morning!".

"Good morning to you too!", I greeted and laughed, "I thought you would be in U.A. by now with Mirio".

He shook his head shyly and faced forward with a flushed face.

"N-No, something came up at home...making me leave a bit late and I texted Mirio to go ahead", Amajiki said and slightly looked at me as we both ran, "And I wasn't able to ride a train too at the t-train station".

"You what? This isn't like you, Tamaki", I said and laughed.

"I-I know. How silly of me, right? Haha", Amajiki replied and laughed back but in a bashful tone, "But you know...".

I raised a brow so I can let him continue but what surprised me is that he was looking directly at me but he still had the hint of shyness in his expression.

"I'm actually kind of glad that I left the house late", Amajiki replied and bit his lip before looking forward again in a few seconds.

I was now wearing a confused expression on my face when he said that and I wanted to say something but my stamina is getting the best of me so I decided to continue this conversation with him later back in school.

"You're all dismissed"

Our teacher finally dismissed us and thank goodness he did because my body is already sore today from running all the way to school in the morning and our quirk training exercises.

I rolled my neck to relieve the stiffness and just when I was about to stretch my arms to relieve more stiffness -

"(Y/N)?"

I turned to see Amajiki approaching me with his bag and he was smiling with a hint of shyness and also nervousness.

"Oh, Tamaki!", I said and smiled back at the elf boy, "Is there something you need?".

After I questioned, he began to look side ways and even looking down from the time time like he's trying to think of what to say.

"W-Well...", he started off but he's slowly becoming a bit flustered since his cheeks are slowly turning red, "A-Are you free after this?".

I checked my phone to see my schedule and luckily, there was no events being planned for today so I turned to him and nodded.

"Yep, I'm totally free! Are the four of us going to eat at my dad's ramen restaurant again?", I replied and giggled, "He's not there to serve us but my cousin is there for duty! So we can totally head there now".

"N-Not this time!", Amajiki said and twiddled his thumbs, "Umm, you see-"

"I'm busy!"

Both of us were interrupted by none other than Mirio and he was smiling brightly and Nejire is also here to stop by and say hello.

"Busy?", I questioned.

"Yep! You see...", Mirio said and laughed before patting my shoulder, "I have some shopping to do with our other classmate over there!".

"And I'm going to help my mother back at my place so it's a bit urgent too", Nejire said and smiled, "Let's go together next time, (Y/N)-chan!".

"Aww, well, okay then. I totally understand!", I said and turned to Amajiki, "Well, I guess it's only you and me, Tamaki!".

Amajiki nodded shyly but still smiled in agreement.

"Y-Yeah, (Y/N)", Amajiki replied, "Well, see you tomorrow Mirio and Nejire. We'll be going ahead".

They both nodded happily but before Amajiki and I will leave, Mirio whispered something to the elf boy and it made his cheeks turn a bit red.

"Thank you, Mirio", Amajiki replied to Mirio with a serious expression and nodded, "W-Wish me luck!".

"Okay, bye now, Tamaki!", Mirio said and patted his shoulder with a big grin, "Nejire and I have your support!".

Eh, support?

I raised a brow but before I could say anything, Amajiki gestured me to go out of the classroom together which in return I followed suit.

...

Since Amajiki insisted for us to hang out, we decided to take a nice walk going to the park and afterwards, we'll eat at my dad's ramen restaurant but only for the two of us for now.

When we arrived at the park, there were only a few people staying there at the area and there are even dogs running around and relaxing at the grassy field.

"Wow, there's not much people today", I commented while looking around the park.

"Y-Yeah, pretty strange, isn't it?", Amajiki said and laughed softly, "But at least it's peaceful".

I smiled and nodded in agreement before we continued walking.

There was silence between us after that and here we are trying to think of something that we could both talk about.

It's kind of rare for us to struggle with something like this since we talk about mostly about anything under the sun.

But this time, the atmosphere feels a bit different between us and I'm trying to figure out why.

Then after a few seconds of thinking, I remembered something from this morning and when I turned to face him -

"I just remembered something!"

"I just remembered something!"

Both of our eyes widened when we both spoke at the same time and it made us laugh softly.

"Sorry, you go first, Tamaki", I said and smiled.

"N-No, you go first. I insist, haha", Amajiki said and laughed shyly.

"Nooo, you go!"

"Y-You go!"

"No, you!"

We both laughed again after we kept insisting each other to speak up but after some time, we decided to calm ourselves down and smiled at each other.

"You k-know, being around you is so much fun", Amajiki said and wiped his tears of joy, "In fact, I couldn't imagine what it be like if we didn't get a chance to talk back then".

"You mean when we are still in third grade?", I questioned and giggled, "That was so long ago".

"Yes, (Y/N). It was indeed", Amajiki said and smiled softly at me, "And...I'm glad I met you and I'm happy that we come to where we are now".

The tone of his voice sounded different when he said that and the world between us felt different too.

"Just being with you is...amazing", Amajiki said and his cheeks started to glow again, "You're kind, smart, funny, a-adorable and beautiful even. I-I feel so lucky to find someone like you in my life".

"Tamaki...", I said in awe that I can also feel my cheeks warming up, "I never thought you-"

"Remember when I told you that I was glad that I left the house late when we were running to school together?"

He interrupted me and started to look down with a shy expression

"That what I was going to say earlier!", I said and laughed wholeheartedly.

"Y-You were curious? Oh my goodness", Amajiki said and looked up at the afternoon sky, "W-Well...that's because...".

We stopped under a beautiful floral arc way that also serves as a popular spot in this park for taking pictures.

"B-Because I want to be with you. I want to stay by your side!", Amajiki said and gulped with a bit of hesitation, "I-In other words...".

He finally regained some composure and looked at me in the eye with a mix of seriousness and shyness.

"I-I love you, (Y/N)!"

My eyes widened after hearing those "three words" that I never thought it would come out from the elf boy. 

"M-Me?", I asked with a bit of shock and blinked a few times.

He nodded and continued his spiel, "Y-Yeah! I-I've always loved you, (Y/N). I....I actually developed a crush on you ever before we entered middle school with Mirio".

"I really wanted to confess b-before we graduated in middle school b-but my shyness got in the way and I-I wasn't sure how to say it since I don't have the courage that I need because...", Amajiki continued and twiddled his thumbs, "...because I-I'm afraid you might reject me and we won't b-be friends anymore so...".

Those tender words coming from the indigo haired boy really made my heart throbbed in an instant and just seeing him, confessing his feelings right in front of me, has made my whole being feel warm...like the sun.

I can see why his hero name was called Suneater, because he shines bright like the sun.

"S-So...yeah, it's okay if you don't return m-my feelings. I totally understand", Amajiki said and he looked like he wanted to cry any second, "I-I'm a man, I can take it-"

I can feel my eyes forming tears and this made the elf boy stopped talking and slowly panicked.

"(Y-Y/N)?! Oh my gosh, I-"

"I love you too"

His eyes widened from my unexpected reply and this made his whole world stop spinning as he looked at me with surprise.

"I actually feel the same way, Tamaki. You're like an angel and I find your shyness very adorable but you still find ways to gain courage at certain situations which is something that I loved about you. You never give up!", I said and tried to wipe away my tears but they just continued to flow, "J-Just hearing you say I love you just...made me so happy right now".

"(Y/N)...", Amajiki said in awe this time and his lips were turning into a smile, "Really?".

I nodded rapidly and tried to wipe away my tears again but he stopped me and do it for me using his warm hands.

"J-Just seeing you cry makes me want to cry too, haha", Amajiki said and laughed softly, "But I'm happy!".

He wrapped his arms around my body gently with blushing cheeks and leaned his forehead against mine.

"Is it...okay if I hold you...like this?", Amajiki asked bashfully, "I mean, my heart is telling me that I should s-show you how much I love you".

I smiled and nodded in agreement before caressing one of his cheeks.

"Of course-"

I stopped talking when he finally got the courage to capture my lips with his soft ones that made my heart jump like a trampoline.

'Soft...and warm', I thought and slowly closed my eyes, 'Just like the sun...'.

He cupped my face gently with his hands and when I returned the kiss, we both exchanged slowly.

The kiss was very soft just like what my thoughts are telling me and I love how his exchange was just right and also innocent too which I find it very cute.

He let go of me slowly and we find ourselves blushing like roses in a garden but we were smiling bashfully at each other - well, mostly Amajiki.

"That was...", Amajiki said with amazement.

"Sweet!", I finished his sentence and giggled, "Just like you, Tamaki~!".

"(Y-Y/N)...", he said and laughed before cupping my face again, "That aside, I-I'm so happy right now! I really mean it".

He brushed his lips against mine once more before giving me a heart warming embrace.

"I-I may be shy but I'll do my best to make you super happy with all my efforts!", Amajiki said and soothed my back, "I'll become a pro hero and also the best boyfriend to you, (Y/N)!".

I smiled brightly and nodded in agreement once more before embracing him back.

"Same here, Tamaki! I'm going to be the best and supporting girlfriend!", I replied and gave him a thumbs up.

He laughed and a flower from the floral arc fell on top of my head.

He picked it up and decided to put it behind my ear.

"You look so beautiful...", Amajiki commented and kissed the top of my head, "I-I love you so much, (Y/N). I look forward to us, hehe".
