I am your Weakness

Get out your claws

and tear at my heart.

Shred my determination

to pieces.

Crave your bliss

At the expense of my own.

Own me and yet destroy me

With words

and others.

Prey on your victim --

I am your weakness

Betray my trust

Once more.

Smother me with

Loathing,

Posses my morality

Make me your beaten

whore.

I am your weakness,

The light in your darkness

The good in your ever

Black heart.

Blind me with hatred

So that I no longer care

About your presence here

In mine.

Scratch at my soul,

Make an unforgiving creature

Out of the lonely child

That roams.

Words beat me,

Actions defeat me,

They're yours and yours

Alone.

I am your weakness.

You're brightness; your

Niceness.

The very thing that keeps

You known.

Twist and slither,

You impertinent creature.

Show your true colours

When we're alone.
