~~

The bright, golden rays of golden light sullied their way into your cottage, dancing softly over your sleeping face, waking you up from your slumber.

Byakuya and Teruteru died last night. That much was obvious.

But who knows what would happen today? It's a new day...and everyone promised that they would do their best, despite the fact that they were empty words.

You hauled yourself out of bed and changed into a new set of clothes, continuing with the rest of your regular morning routine. It was pretty early in the morning still, the Monokuma morning announcement still hadn't gone off, and you were already done getting ready.

So, you finished tying your shoes and left your cabin, you decided rather than heading directly to the hotel restaurant, you took yourself to Rocketpunch Market.

Why? An energy drink for breakfast, of course.

Who the hell eats actual FOOD for breakfast?

Ahaha, moving on.

The doors to Rocketpunch opened, and you casually strolled through the isles, looking for any sort of energy drink. Honestly, any brand would suffice. You looked through the coolers in the back, and as soon as you opened one of them to look, the Monokuma announcement went off.

You rolled your eyes and grabbed one of the brands in front of you. It was a blue can, roughly sixteen ounces. While the majority of it was blue, there were what looked like bones and roses decal all around the sides, with a giant, yellow-orange 'M' in the middle. You snapped the top open and took a swig of the bubbly liquid, feelings the fruity, almost tropical taste trickle down you throat. You looked around for a cashier, but there didn't seem to be one...at all. So, you shrugged, taking another sip of your energy drink, and left Rocketpunch Market, now making your way to the hotel restaurant.

As soon as you entered, you noticed almost everyone else was already there. The atmosphere was...dull. There was hardly any reaction from anyone, so, once you entered, you just gave a small, curt nod to everyone, and decided to just sit down at an empty table.

"O-Oh...you're here Miss (F/N)...!" Kazuichi uttered, his mood seemed to brighten slightly once he noticed you at a table. You just nodded, and continued on with your drink. After what Kazuichi had said, a few people, specifically, Mikan, Sonia, and Ibuki, had sat down with you.

"Oooh! Do you like those energy drinks too, (F/N)!?" Ibuki asked, maybe as a way to distract herself from the gloomy atmosphere. "I like them too, but my favorites are the pink ones and the regular ones!"

"B-But... A-Are you sure you should be drinking that so early in the morning...?" Mikan questioned, slightly pressing the pads of her fingers together. "It could be unhealthy for you... Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if the body doesn't consume food after they wake up, then it's energy will be low for the rest of the day...! You'll fatigue more easily, you could become sluggish... Y-Y-You may even have the possibility of passing out!!" She fretted.

"Uh... I guess you're right, Mikan..." You said. "But I feel fine... I don't usually eat food in the morning, I can live off of this stuff, don't worry."

"I do believe you should eat something, (F/N)." Sonia stated, as she shifted closer to you from where she was seated. "You should listen to Mikan, eating food in the morning would be much healthier than a drink like that... And we all promised we would do our best from now on!"

"I- Uh- Uhm..." You stuttered, nervously looking around for something to ease the conversation away with. Luckily, there was.

Hajime had just entered the dining hall.

"Oh... Hey, Hajime...! You're here... Good morning..." You uttered, as he gave a quiet response back.

"Y-Yo..." Kazuichi uttered as well.

"Good...morning..." Mikan said. After that, there we're still a few moments of silence...the gloomy atmosphere had returned.

"Huuuh? You guys don't look so good. Your faces all look like you attended two funerals in a row." Hiyoko said, so innocently.

"That's, like...what happened! Byakuya...and Teruteru got killed killed...!" Mikan wailed.

"I'm not talking to you, you ugly bitch!" Hiyoko exclaimed.

"Waaaaaah! Wh-Why are you always so mean to me!?" Mikan cried.

"Still, I understand about Mr. Ham Hands, but is there even a reason for us to be sad about Teruteru's death?" Hiyoko questioned.

"Wh-What the heck do you mean...?" Kazuichi asked, apprehensively.

"Well he was a crazy guy who killed someone! He totally deserved to die!" Hiyoko stated.

"I understand how you feel, but you're going too far." Peko said.

"I have to agree with Peko, just because he killed someone doesn't mean he deserved to die... Some people have justified reasons." You said, slowly standing up from your seat.

"Huuuh? What are you even saying, Big Sis (F/N)?" Hiyoko said. "Are you defending a killer? Are you justifying what Teruteru did?"

"Wh- Well, no... I'm not justifying his reasons-" You tried to say, before Hiyoko interrupted you.

"Then you gotta hate him more than ever. You gotta hate him from the bottom of your heart." She said. "He's a stupid, piece of trash, bastard who committed the worst crime possible. He deserved to get killed. In fact, I'm rather relieved he was executed. If I could have, I would have totally spat on him too."

You were about to argue with Hiyoko more, if it weren't for Akane.

"...Hm?" She muttered, sniffing the air much like the night before. "...Hmmmm?"

"Hey, what gives? Does a pea brain like you have something to complain about?" Hiyoko puffed.

"Well, it's not about that, but... somethin' smells, don'tcha think?" Akane said.

"Eh, again!?" Sonia sweatdropped.

"Don't tell me... It better not be another dead body!" Ibuki exclaimed.

"Nah, it's not the smell of blood...this time. It just smells really bad." Akane grimaced.

"S-Smells bad...?" Hajime muttered.

"It's kinda like how a bar or nightclub smells after closin' time, ya see." Akane expressed.

"I don't know those smells! You must've had a pretty rough life!" Kazuichi said.

"...Now that you mention it, I do smell something. It's like a sewer or rotting garbage..." Peko muttered.

You decided to try and sniff the air, only to get a slightly overpowering scent of *exactly* what Peko had described. You had to keep your face from distorting to too much of a weird expression. "Yep... I definitely smell it." You strained, grabbing your drink and taking a giant sip, the scent of fruits, mostly mangos, trying its hardest to invade your senses over the oder.

"Kyahahahaha! I know what it is! Nekomaru's breath probably stinks!" Hiyoko laughed.

"Gah-hahahaha! You've got me there!" Nekomau laughed along.

"She didn't say anything remotely funny just now..." Hajime muttered.

"No, it's not Nekomaru. This smell is comin' from...you, Hiyoko." Akane said.

"...Huh?" Hiyoko uttered.

"Woah, it's true! Hiyoko...you reek!" Kazuichi exclaimed.

"Tch! A rotting smell stings my eyes...! As if a demonic eclipse is about to commence...!" Gundham imagined. "Angel...! Please, used your blessed senses and get rid of such a foul oder!"

"Ah...aghhh.... Big.... Sis...?" Hiyoko looked towards you, teary-eyed and horrified.

"I mean... I-I didn't really smell anything too bad until someone pointed it out...?" You tried to comfort her, even though your statement came out somewhat like a question.

"Ah... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Big Sis!" Hiyoko wailed, immediately running to you and wrapping her arms around you. Luckily, sense her face was buried into your mid-section, she didn't see how your eyes widened at her closeness... And the strong overpowering of the smell that attached to her.

"H-Hey...it's okay..." You cooed, softly wrapping one arm around her while petting the top of her head... Good thing nobody noticed that your voice had a slight, nasally twinge to it based on the fact that you were holding your breath.

"Bruh- Weren't we just arguing a second before this...? Whatever, I don't care..." You thought.

"I've said it before, but you guys are really insensitive!" Mahiru scolded.

"Ah, no...it actually doesn't smell *that* bad...I mean, as long as I breathe with my mouth..." Kazuichi said, trying to save himself. You slightly glared at him.

"MotherFUCKER-"

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Hiyoko cried even louder, despite the fact that it was still slightly muffled by you.

"Are you even takin' baths?" Akane asked.

"Ugh... *Hic...* *Hic...*" Hiyoko slowly turned around, still grabbing onto you. "...No."

"Y-You haven't bathed...!?" Hajime stuttered.

"Well that explains it..." You muttered, before making the small dancer turn to you. "Hiyoko, honey, why haven't you taken a shower yet...?" You asked, your tone soft, trying not to make the girl cry even more.

"I...I can't help it... I can't tie my kimono sash by myself..." Hiyoko sniffed. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!"

"H-Hey...Hiyoko... You don't have to cry so much..." Mahiru said, as she approached the crying girl clinging to you. "I'll tie your sash for you, okay?"

"Hic...hic... Really?" Hiyoko whimpered.

"I can only tie a simple knot, but...if that's okay with you, I can teach you." Mahiru smiled.

"Yaaaaay!" Hiyoko cheered, as she let go of you and then latched herself onto Mahiru. "I love you, Mahiru! I'll give you a kiss!"

"H-Hey Hiyoko... You don't have to hug me." Mahiru uttered, as she began to blush.

"Teen romance~" You sang, teasingly, making Mahiru elbow you, ending with the both of you laughing lightly.

"Kehehe...the problem child seems to have not only taken a liking to the Fallen Angel, but to you, as well." Gundham told.

"Welcome to the world of girl love! It's slippery when wet!" Ibuki chimed, popping up behind you and tightly wrapping her arms around you next. You snapped both of your fingers.

"I gotta agree with that." You laughed, as Ibuki nestled into your neck and started rocking the two of you back and forth. It seemed as if the tense atmosphere had gone for a while...

"Um...anyway... What happened to Fuyuhiko and Nagito? It seems they are both...not here..." Mikan spoke up.

"...Now that you mention it, you're right... I didn't even notice Nagito was gone..." You said. "I didn't really expect Fuyuhiko to come to breakfast anyway."

"I did see Fuyuhiko earlier near the hotel. I invited him to breakfast, but he declined." Peko said, making you bite your lip.

"Peko always seems to find Fuyuhiko and tries to persuade him into doing things with the rest of the group... And last night, in the class trial, Fuyuhiko seemed to tell Peko that things she couldn't prevent weren't her fault, and maybe even seemed to care about her whole...bathroom, thing...something's suspicious..." You thought, as you heard Gundham respond to Akane question why Nagito was important.

"He is cursed... A misfit who summons misfortune, so to speak." He said. "No amount of our Angel's blessings could cure the nuisance."

"Well...that may be...but..." Hajime mumbled.

"J-Just letting you know...I don't know anything!" Nekomaru exclaimed, abruptly and loudly. "W-Without hesitation, I-I don't know anything about Nagito at all!"

"He's right, forget him! Let's just forget about that creep already!" Kazuichi yelled after him.

"...They're obviously acting suspicious, aren't they?" Chiaki uttered.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing." You said.

"M-Miss (F/N)!!" Kazuichi whined. "I-I'm not suspicious!"

"Hmph! That's right! I-I'm not suspicious!" Nekomaru yelled again.

"Yeah they're definitely suspicious... I probably won't be able to get it out of Nekomaru, but I could try with Kazuichi... It's worth a shot, and I might have a way of breaking him easily..."You thought, right before you noticed an annoying dual colored bear pop up from the ground.

"What's up? Did someone get kidnapped or something?" Monokuma questioned.

"Y-You came just at the right time!" Nekomaru yelled.

"Hm? At the right time?" Monokuma mumbled.

"N-No...it's nothing..." Nekomaru muttered.

"I don't really get it, but...you must've yearned for me." Monokuma said, as a red hue began to take over the top of his head, and he began...sweating. "Your outlook on life has changed due to my cuteness, so your body can't stand to live without me, huh? 'I-I can't help myself, you know... M-My body...reacts to Monokuma on its own...'" Monokuma faked. "...Somethin' like that?"

"...Who cares about that! Just hurry up and tell us why you're here!" Mahiru ordered.

"To be honest, I'm searching too. My valued servant...has disappeared." Monokuma mentioned.

"Servant...?" Hajime questioned.

"You know, my Monobeasts... One of them just disappeared..." Monokuma said. "Maybe I cut back on the cost of their food too much? Perhaps they're boycotting me?"

"'But...that guy is the weakest of the League of Four... How shameful for a Monobeasts to lose to a mere human...'" Gundham said. "...That's what you want to say, right?"

"Hm?" Monokuma growled.

"Though this is merely the prelude, the climax will occur soon after... Now then, let me hear your scream! I shall make such sweet music for you!" Gundham exclaimed.

"Hmhmhmhm!?" Monokuma growled again, slightly more aggressive.

"Hey Gundham... You should stop playing with that stuffed animal." Mahiru said.

"I'm still being called a stuffed animal..." Monokuma muttered. "Oh well... It looks like you guys don't know anything about my Monobeast either... Then it's a waste of time for me to worry about it. I don't wanna go bald from worrying too much." Monokuma said. "A wise cat to once said, 'Our eyes are on the front so we can keep moving forward!'"

After Monokuma said that, he disappeared.

"Hey, what do you think he meant just now? He said something about a Monobeast disappearing..." Peko muttered.

"I can't really think of anything right now..." You muttered, before you felt two very dull, but very noticeable pressures clamping down on your neck. You craned your head to your left, seeing as Ibuki was still nuzzling her entire face into your neck.

"Ibuki did you just b-" "Um... Were you in the middle of something? If so, I can just come back later..." The voice of Monomi spoke, as you didn't even notice she appeared.

"Then leave." Akane said, plainly, miffed with Monomi's presence.

"Kyaa! At least ask me to leave kindly!" Monomi cried.

"Ah, before you leave. I want to ask you something. Did you have anything to do with the disappearing Monobeast?" Chiaki asked the rabbit.

"Ah, yes! That's right!" Monomi said. "Tadaaaaa! I'm the one who defeated that Monobeast!"

"Y-You did!?" Hajime stuttered.

"Defeating a monster like that... How the hell did someone like you pull that off?" Kazuichi questioned.

"I'll talk about that in more detail in a different mode. Anyway, I've released the bridge gate for you all!" Monomi declared.

"Bridge gate... The gate to another island?" You asked. "We're allowed to go explore a new island?"

"I-IS THAT TRUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE!?" Nekomaru asked, loudly.

"Ahem, that's totally right!" Monomi said, a proud look on her prosthetic face while her arms were on her hips. "Now that you all can go to more areas, let's all get along and live a fun life together for sure this time! Love! Love!"

"L-Living together on this island isn't what's important... W-We need to find a way to escape." Mikan said.

"Of course! Escaping from this island is our main goal!" Mahiru exclaimed

"...Huh?" Monomi mumbled.

"Nobody wants to live in a swashbuckling, Hollywood type, action film!" Ibuki said, resting her chin on your shoulder.

"I want to live a life where I can be more average...a life where nothing happens... That's better for me..." Mikan muttered.

"All right! If you find anything that can be salvaged for boat parts, let me know immediately!" Kazuichi exclaimed.

"I-It seems that...everyone's united on a path that's different from what I had planned..." Monomi muttered.

"Fuhahaha! Then let's disperse! The time has come to release the cursed seal!" Gundham yelled.

"All right! Let's find a way to leave this island!" Akane yelled, as well, putting her fists up.

"That is...impossible..." Monomi muttered.

"Huh...?" You mumbled.

"Leaving the island...is no longer possible..." Monomi said, quietly.

"...No longer possible?" Hajime asked. "Hey...what does that...?"

Monomi dissapeared.

"Ah!" Hajime exclaimed.

"Hey Hajime... Just leave that thing alone already! After all, she's the same as Monokuma... It's better if you don't get close to her." Kazuichi said. "And Ibuki... Let go of Miss (F/N)!" He said, pointing at the girl snuggling into you from behind, his face lightly twitching.

"Fine...!" Ibuki pouted, unwrapping her arms around you. "Ibuki will go explore the new island now!" She said, as she pranced her way out of the hotel restaurant with everyone else. You turned around, grabbing your half filled energy drink that you left on the table.

"A new island, huh...? I should go find some clues too..." You heard Mahiru mutter.

"Eh, you can't! You promised you'd tie my kimono sash!" Hiyoko whined.

"Th-That was... We can do that after we finished exploring the new island..." Mahiru stuttered.

"B-But...if I don't hurry and go take a bath... They'll *sniff* call me smelly again... They're *sniff* gonna bully me again..." Hiyoko said, the tears bubbling up in her eyes once again.

"How about... Mahiru, you take Hiyoko to go shower... And I'll fill both of you in on what we find on the new island?" You suggested. "That way, Hiyoko can be clean and nobody will bully you, and you both will still find out what's on the new island."

"Really, Big Sis (F/N)?" Hiyoko asked.

"Yeah, really (F/N)?" Mahiru asked directly after.

You smiled. "Of course!"

"Yay! Thank you Big Sis (F/N)!" Hiyoko cheered. "Me and Big Sis Mahiru are gonna wash each other!"

"Huh? Wash each other?" Mahiru asked, wide-eyed. "H-Hold on, I-I don't think I should go in too..."

"Now now, we're both girls. There's no need to be shy!" Hiyoko said.

"B-But...fine..." Mahiru muttered.

"Yaayy!" Hiyoko yelled, hugging Mahiru once again. You leaned over to Mahiru.

"Also, do you want your dress back...? I still have it." You whispered. Mahiru shook her head.

"No... Keep it! I-It's a gift!" She said, her cheeks lightly heating up to a soft pink. You laughed.

"You're a sweetheart..." You laughed, as she bashfully looked away. "Now, both of you go take that shower...!"

"We will Big Sis (F/N)! And make sure you tell us what's on the new island, or else I'll bite you!" Hiyoko yelled, pulling Mahiru out of the restaurant. "Byee!"

"Too late." You thought, also walking out of the hotel restaurant yourself.

You had walked along the path to the bridges, finding the second island's Monobeast gone, and the gate open. You ventured across the bridge connecting the first island and the second island and...

Directly in front of you, across another, smaller bridge, you were met with a giant sight of something that resembled an ancient ruin... It was a large structure, very large in fact, and it was covered with lots of roots and trees.

"Woah...so this is the new island." You mumbled. "The atmosphere sure seems a lot different compared to the first island and the hotel..."

You walked across the small bridge that lead you to that ancient ruin...feeling the shadow swallow you up, the size of the ruin getting bigger, and scarier as you got closer. The closer you got, the more the ruin looked like something...not that.

Chiaki was there, standing...completely still.

"Hey Chiaki..." You greeted softly, as you got closer to her.

It was only that once you got close enough to her, you realized she was sleeping...standing up.

She softly fluttered her eyes open, now aware of your presence.

"Ah, sorry... I was dozing for a bit." She muttered, rubbing her eye.

"Do you know what this huge building is?" You asked.

"It looks like some sort of ruins...or a historical landmark." Chiaki said.

"I thought it was a type of ancient ruin, too..." You said. "But...the shape of it...it doesn't really resemble the shape of a typical ancient ruin."

"I totally agree... It's a mysterious building. If feels like a special place..." Chiaki said.

"A special place..." You mumbled.

"I'll... check around here a bit more, so you can go somewhere else." Chiaki said.

"You sure?" You asked.

"Yeah...just go somewhere else." She said, more forcefully, as she puffed her cheeks out.

"...Are you gonna sleep again?" You questioned, slightly teasing. "But, if you're going to explore... let me know if you find anything."

"Yep, you can count on me." Chiaki smiled, as you waved her off and left.

Walking a bit farther, away from the 'ruin', you found another big building. It looked something similar to a building that was part of a university.

You entered the building, only to be shocked at the overwhelming amount of books that surrounded you... It was definitely a library. On the ground, there was a broken, bronze statue of Monomi, while she was still 'Usami'. That being said, there were also multiple statues of Monokuma around the library, all replacing broken Usami statues.

You started walking, ending up approaching Peko.

"Oh, hello (F/N)." She said, as she noticed your figure.

"Hey, Peko." You greeted back with a nod.

"This is a huge library, but there are no other human beings to be found here at all..." Peko mumbled.

"I honestly don't think we're due to find any other people on these island..." You said. "It's safe to assume that this island is also uninhabited." You said. "Tell me if you find anything else, I'm going to go look around more." You said.

"I shall inform you of anything else I come across." Peko nodded, as you left, weaving through the tables, now approaching Sonia, who seemed excited at your appearance.

"Ah, hello (F/N)! I am a little surprised!" Sonia gleamed. "I never expected to find such a splendid facility. It rivals even my homeland's national library..."

"Since this is so huge, I can't even imagine what the library in Novoselic looks like..." You muttered, as Sonia's eyes lit up, almost forming starts.

"You remembered!" She gasped.

"Though, I find it kind of strange...does an uninhabited island need a library this big...? Just for fifteen people?" You questioned, mostly to yourself. However, a small, sour taste left your mouth at the word fifteen... when there was originally seventeen of you.

But, you were quickly brought out of your thought when Monomi popped up again.

"Tadaaaa! Monomi is here! I'm reading a book!" Monomi said. "Ah, since you've come here, would you like me to explain this library to you?"

"I-I see..." Sonia stuttered, slightly iffed by Monomi's appearance.

"It's clear from your face I'm a nuisance... Since I was more energetic than usual... I feel even emptier now..." Monomi sighed.

"...So, are you going to explain or not?" You asked, taking a sip of your drink.

"Well, you're all basically students, right? I was thinking you needed a place where you can do homework... Soooo, I have prepared this library!"

'Oh hell no we better not have homework on this godforsaken island-"

"Prepared...? You?" Sonia muttered.

"Hehe, everyone can get along and study together. It's a student's duty to study." Monomi said.

"I have a question, actually." You spoke. "At the restaurant... You said that there was 'no way out' or 'no way to leave'... What does that mean?"

"I... Oh...." Monomi muttered. "G-Goodbye!" She said, before disappearing into the floor.

"Dammit..." You muttered, biting the inside of your cheek. "She always runs away when she gets confronted... Suspicious..."

(pink sus, vote them out)

"I cannot believe that she is the one who prepared this grand facility." Sonia said. "According to this islands guidebook, many of their guests are wealthy and stay for weeks at a time... These are all probably things that they donated."

"You found a guidebook...?" You asked, now feelings intrigued.

"Yes! I found it in this library. Would you like to take a look?" Sonia asked.

"Oh, definitely, if you don't mind." You said, as Sonia was already reaching for an open book.

"Of course I don't! We can read it together!" Sonia smiled, as she held the book inbetween you two. You went over to grab the book, looking at Sonia for permission, as she nodded. As she did, you slightly grabbed the book with your left hand, your pinky finger holding the spine of the book. However... Sonia's pinky finger was also there, and you had accidentally put your pinky finger on top of her pinky finger.

Sonia blushed at the contact, the way your skin felt against hers, even though it was just your pinky fingers, your measly pinky fingers, and the coldness of your ring. The small chill of your ring and the contrast of your slightly warm skin was enough to make the princess heat up... You noticed.

"Oop- Sorry... Did my ring startle you?" You asked.

"N-No! N-Not at all!" Sonia stuttered. "Y...You can leave it there... I-I don't mind..."

You hummed, before going back to look at the island guidebook inbetween the two of you.

"Jabberwock Island is a small island in the Pacific Ocean known for being a paradise of eternal summer..." You read softly.

Sonia gasped lightly. "Do you know English, (F/N)?" She asked.

You nodded. "Yep... America has a lot of my popular locations, so I needed to learn the basics of English before I traveled there... And I travel a lot. A few years, and numerous amounts of trips later, I learn more and more English." You explained. "Jabberwock Island consists of a small central island surrounded by five other islands. The outer islands were developed as resorts, while the central island houses a large administrative building... What the fuck?" You muttered the last bit, as you leaned in towards the guidebook.

"Y-You noticed it as well?" Sonia stuttered.

"Yes, I did... In the central island of Jabberwock Island, there weren't any buildings... The only things there were Monokuma rock and the park..."

"A-Also, according to this guidebook... It says that there is a bronze statue in the lobby of that building which symbolizes the island..." Sonia informed you.

"That was... the bronze statue that turned into the Monobeasts... But that can't be, because that statue was in the middle of a park, not in the lobby of a building." You bit your lip.

"Th-That is not all... There is another description that strikes me as strange." Sonia said. "According to this guidebook, the only way to travel between the five islands is by *boat*..."

"Huh...? But we literally got to this island by a bridge..." You said.

"While some people wanted bridges, critics worried about their effect on the environment, so none were built..." Sonia read.

"Well... erosion is one thing. But, the after math of erosion is when things granulate over time, usually resulting in separation..." You hypothesized. "However, there's also the fact that our memories were stolen, and we have no idea how long our memories have been stolen... In that time period, there's a possibility that bridges were built... But, if they were, it probably would've said so in the guidebook, but I don't really know what it could be..."

"I have said this before, but you are rather smart, (F/N)!" Sonia praised. "But... there's a possibility that this place is an artificial island like Palm Jumeirah..."

"...Isn't Palm Jumeirah an artificial island and tourist site?" You asked.

"Yes, that is correct. Similarly...this island might be an artificial island designed to *look* like Jabberwock Island..." Sonia said. "Th-That especially might be why...we are the only ones on this island... Well, something like that would be impossible anyway. No island of this size could be completely artificial." Sonia scraped her idea. "This guidebook must be old, too It contradicts everything about the island's current situation..."

Suddenly, Monokuma appeared.

"My my...you're very intuitive to assume this is an artificial island!" Monokuma spoke.

"Why are you here. Why." You huffed.

"However, those guys are the only ones who could do something on such a massive scale!" Monokuma continued. "The hint is... You know, the enormous organization you guys were talking about before. Hmmmm...it's true that those guys totally deserve to be called a horrible group of people." Monokuma gasped right after he said that. "Oops...that was a slip of the tongue... I should excuse myself before it leaks onto the internet..."

And at that, Monokuma disappeared into the ground. You gaped.

"Could it be...this island is completely artificial...? There is no way that is true..." Sonia fretted.

"Well, since this whole situation is most likely run by a very large organization, with an unbelievable amount of money, it may not be so...out of the category..." You said. "But... *Agh* I really don't know... There also is just the possibility that the guidebook is just old..."

"You...are right..." Sonia muttered.

"I think that's all there is in here..." You mumbled, taking one last look around the library.

"Oh, are you planning to leave (F/N)?" Sonia asked.

"Yeah, I think so... Let me know if you find anything?" You asked her.

"I will! Goodbye, (F/N)!" Sonia waved you off, as you did the same, exiting the library.

After a small walk, there was a new, much smaller building. It was oddly shaped, but there was a sign above it that said 'Pharmacy'... Which obviously meant it was a pharmacy.

Entering the pharmacy, every wall inside it was filled to the brim with supplements, medicines, chemicals, elixirs and everything that a pharmacy would have. The interior was filled with white lights, from behind the shelves, and the ceilings, making you a bit nauseated by being inside.

"Squee...eeeeeee!" You heard in the pharmacy, startling you, almost making you drop your drink. The loud noise ended up being Mikan...even though it wasn't surprising she'd be in the pharmacy.

"OH- Hi, Mikan...!" You greeted.

"A-Ah! I'm sorry (F/N)... I didn't notice you enter..." She apologized.

"It's all right... What's got you so excited?" You asked, taking a sip of your drink, which had mostly lost its cool.

"I-I'm sorry... I got so excited I started shouting..." She said, before her face morphed into one of happiness. "Nyu... I'm so happy someone decided to talk to me... Before...people either hated me or were grossed out by me..."

"Aw, why? You're so adorable..." You mused, chuckling at how surprised Mikan got, blushing. "Hmm... This is a pharmacy... It's very spacious."

"U-U-Um... W-With all these m-medical s-s-suplies, I'm sure we can handle most i-illnesses o-or injuries..." Mikan stuttered, still very flustered at your compliment. "Heh... If you don't feel well, let me know. I'll give you lots of shots... Lot's and lots of shots! Y-You work with needles so frequently, I can imagine how many times you've used one on yourself... S-So you should be fine with me giving you shots...!"

"I'll keep that in mind, Mikan..." You said. "I'm going to go keep looking around the island... Take care of yourself, Mikan." You said.

"O-Okay... G-Goodbye, (F/N)...!" Mikan stuttered, as you looked back and waved goodbye.

"That girl is so cute ohmygosh..." You smiled.

You looked up at a giant rotating sign of a pig in front of a burger, which was next to a building labeled 'Diner'. A very standard, retro diner that you would see in comics.

Pushing open the diner doors, the inside of the diner was very nicely furnished. It was also, exactly like an old comic. With the checkerboards, red, circle stools, red and white booths, and even the plainly colored condiment bottles.

"Oh...it's you..." A voice said, as you looked around one of the booths to see... Fuyuhiko, sitting at one of the booths, eating a hamburger. "I'm trying to eat right now! Go away, whore!"

"I didn't even notice you were here... I couldn't see you over the booth." You said, taking a sip of your drink. "Why are you even here...? Did Monomi tell you about the new island?"

"Jeez, do you not understand the human language or something? I told you to leave me alone when I'm eating!" Fuyuhiko yelled. You removed the drink from your mouth, clicking your tongue.

"Well, ya' see, doll... I could really care less... So am I right?" You mused.

"For the last fucking time, stop calling me doll!!" Fuyuhiko raged. "...And, yeah... Someone told me that a new island opened up... Then I found this place, and now I'm eating here because I'm hungry... Happy?"

"Yeah, ecstatic." You mumbled, looking over the place once-more.

"...Why the fuck are you drinking an energy drink for breakfast? Shouldn't you be eating actual food?" Fuyuhiko questioned.

"Aww... Fuyuhiko cares about what I have in the mornings, how sweet." You cooed, fakely. "And, to answer your question... this is how I function in the morning. I don't think I've eaten an actual breakfast since...when I was a literal child."

"No, I don't care about you... I don't care about anyone here! So fuck off and let me eat!!" Fuyuhiko exclaimed.

"You know you don't have to act like a lone wolf all the time." You stated. "Just because you want to *act* like you aren't a part of the group, by distancing yourself and all that stuff, that doesn't exclude you from the fact that we're all here, together." You stated. "Plus... All that 'big scary mafia boy' stuff... It's clearly just an act. Admit it. Last night, during the party, you weren't just taking a walk when you passed Chiaki while she was guarding... You actually wanted to join in with everyone."

"What...the fuck...are you talking about..." Fuyuhiko growled.

"Fucking, admit it. Just stop avoiding us... We all have the same goal here, regardless, so it doesn't make sense why you are avoiding us at all." You said.

"Tch... I'm not avoiding you bastards." Fuyuhiko grumbled. "...I've just decided not to rely on anyone."

"Nobody...?" You questioned.

"Yep, nobody... I'm not going to be like how you and Hajime were last night." He said, surprising you.

"...So you saw that." You said.

"Yeah, I did..." Fuyuhiko muttered.

"Ya'know, when you bring it up like that, it kinda sounds like you were, maybe, jealous..." You said, lightly teasing.

"What the fuck did you say to me, whore...!?" Fuyuhiko growled. "I'm not fucking jealous... I-I was just using it as an example!" He uttered.

"I'm a yakuza by blood. It's not like I don't want to head the family business someday. I just want to prove I've earned it. Prove I can tough it on my own without relying on my clan." Fuyuhiko said. "Plus...even if I fail, the clan will still be around. My little sister would be happy to lead it..." He mumbled his last part.

"His clan isn't even on this island..." You thought. "You probably want some kind of validation from getting out of this by yourself... But this isn't a video game. This is something we're all going through, together. It's ten times smarter to get through this together."

"Listen up, bitch, listen real good... I don't intent to spend any time with you guys. Nothing good can come of it." Fuyuhiko stated. "In this kind of situation, interacting with others will jusy shorten your lifespan... Those idiots, Byakuya and Teruteru, are proof of that." He said. "Plus...it'd be frustrating to be held back by affection when it's my time to kill!"

"You still claim that. It's amusing... I kinda wanna make a bet with myself to see how long you'll stay saying that." You mused.

"Of course... I'll sacrifice the lives of everyone here if it guarantees my survival." Fuyuhiko said.

"...That's a shitty move." You deadpanned.

"It's not like anyone else wouldn't do the same." Fuyuhiko mumbled. "I bet you would kill someone just to ensure your own safety."

You began squeezing your almost empty energy drink can out of anger. What was Fuyuhiko even thinking? It didn't go on for that long before... you accidentally squeezed it too hard... made holes in it with fingernails. The thin, sharp tin of the energy drink grazed by your fingers as they were now inside the can, making almost small cuts.

"Oh-shit..."  You grumbled, watching as small amount of liquid began trickling out of the holes you had accidentally made while crushing the bottle.

"What the fuck..." Fuyuhiko muttered. "What happened...?"

"Doesn't fucking matter." You seethed.

"H-Hold on-" Fuyuhiko stammered.

"Enjoy your breakfast, asshole." You said, turning your back to him and beginning to walk out.

"Wai-" You heard him start, before you slammed the door to the diner, and walked away rapidly.

"Little shit... I swear he can't get worse..." You muttered under your breath, examining your hand.

"(F/N)...?" You heard another voice utter from in front of you... It was Hajime. "Wh...What happened to you?" He asked, getting closer.

"Nothing, nothing... I just had an encounter with Fuyuhiko, that's all..." You muttered, still lightly sour from what happened. But, since Hajime was with you, the sourness slightly died.

"Fuyuhiko...? He's in there?" Hajime asked, and you nodded in response. "Did he do something to you?"

"No...no. I... I just got a little bit peeved..." You said, examining your hand. Hajime stood barely inches away from you...and softly grabbed your hand.

"Are you okay? Or do you need Mikan's help?" He asked, worriedly. There were very few, small cuts littering on your fingers.

"Hajime... I'm fine. I promise... I can handle this. It isn't too bad." You reassured.

"F-Fine... Only if you say so." Hajime said.

"Yes, I promise, I'm fine..." You said. "Anyway, I think there's some stuff I haven't explored yet... I'm gonna go check that out." Hajime nodded as watched your figure depart, as you threw your mattered drink can into a recycling bin right next to a trashcan. He watched you walk into a tunnel the end of the gravel. He huffed, before finally making his way inside the diner.

You had wiped off some of the excess liquid still on your hand. You heaved a small sigh before looking up, and seeing the back of a house. It was a pleasant moment...until.

"...Ah...Ayaaaaaaggggghhh!" A giant scream ripped through the air, the high pitch ness of the voice matched to... Ibuki.

"Ibuki... Nonononono... What happened!?" You mentally screamed, before rushing to the other side of the building, where you heard her scream.

As soon as you rounded the side of the house, you saw Ibuki standing there, fearstrucken Ibuki stood, standing on sand.

"Ohno...ohnoohnoohnoohno...!" She kept muttered.

"Ibuki... Are you all right? What's going on!?" You asked the musician.

"Th-Thisisbad! I'mpanickingsomuchIdon'tevenhavetimetospacemywords!" Ibuki rambled.

"Ibuki, tell me whats going on!" You begged as you put both your hands on her shoulders.

"Th-The killing... The killing started again...!" Ibuki shook.

"What!?" You panicked.

"Look! Over there!" Ibuki exclaimed, point past your shoulder. You moved to the side...and that's where you saw it.

Akane and Nekomaru were going all out in an animalistic brawl on the beach. Akane was throwing everything she had at Nekomaru. "MUDADADADADADADADADADADADADADADADA!" She exclaimed.

"Your speed is adequate, but it's still not enough! Each blow you land is too soft!" Nekomaru stated, as he easily dodged Akane's attacks, and took all of Akane's blows. "You're not using your muscles properly! Your athletic body is going to waste!"

"Shut up! All I gotta do is win!" Akane said, as she advanced towards Nekomaru at full speed.

"How the hell is Akane fighting in that outfit."

"...What was that? you're gonna win? Against me?" Nekomaru guffawed. "That's quite...ABSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURDDDDDDDDD!!!"

And just as Akane had reached Nekomaru, it was useless, as Nekomaru had directly drove his fist towards her... Punching her stomach. As soon as his fist made contact with her stomach, it was almost as in an explosive reaction happened. Time was almost in slow motion and it seemed like everything around everyone had started shaking.

"GWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" Akane yelled out, as she was thrown tremendously back from the force of Nekomaru's fist.

"...Had enough? Have you learned your lesson!?" Nekomaru asked as he cracked his fists. Akane had been withering around on the sand.

"H-H-He's done it! Nekomaru Nidai's Ultimate Move: Super Body Blow!" Ibuki gaped, her eyes wide. "That's instant death! If she's lucky, she'll live another five minutes at best!"

"That was..." You muttered, your eyes shining, a face of shock and disbelief on your face, but also amazement.

"Akane....at your current power level, you cannot even defeat a mere team manager." Nekomaru stated.

"Were they...fighting?" You asked Ibuki.

"HA! ...This isn't a fight..." Nekomaru said, in regards to you.

"It's a one-sided beat down!" Ibuki chimed.

"That sounds even worse than a fight." You mused. "Plus, isn't violence prohibited? Based on the school trip rules, 'Excessive violence is prohibited'...?"

"What violence!? This is not a real fight, we're training!" Nekomaru argued.

"Thank god you were." You chuckled.

"I'm just a team manager. There's no way I'd be able to fight for real..." Nekomaru said. "We both agreed to this training session! I'm not violating any rules at all!"

"Gh... If I gotta admit it..." Akane grumbled, as she was slowly heading her way to the three of you talking.

"Ah, she's alive!" Ibuki exclaimed.

"She's not a weakling who'd get killed by a weak blow like that..." Nekomaru said.

"I feel like I should be offended... Because I certainly would..." You lightly chuckled.

"Don't say that (F/N)! You are supposed to be confident in yourself, a weak mindset affects all!!" Nekomaru said. "Take Akane, for example! She has a strong mindset and determination!"

"H-He looked pretty strong...so I couldn't help...but get excited..." Akane uttered. "I thought sparrin' would help me burn off some of this energy, but...I lost."

"More importantly... There's a lotta strong dudes in this world, huh?" Akane smiled.

"...What a bunch of battle-loving troublemakers!" Ibuki said.

"Akane... It seems you're the type who learns through action rather than words... So I shall give you just one piece of advice." Nekomaru started. "How you use your body and muscles... Your positioning and your timing... It's all half-assed. You are not utilizing your Ultimate Gymnast talent well at all." He said. "Basics! Make sure you understand the basics! You'll always be second-rate if you just rely on instinct!"

"D-Dammit...shut up..." Akane uttered.

"If you understand what I just said, come see me. When that time comes...I will fight you once again." Nekomaru intructed.

"Heh, ya better not forget what you just said. My desire to win is pretty crazy!" Akane said. "(F/N)! You saw me fighin', right!?" She asked.

"Yeah, I did... That was seriously amazing, Akane." You said.

"Would ya' help me train!?" She asked, excitedly, as small panic overtook you.

"A-Ah! I-I definitely can't...you'd probably crush me with every bone in your body..." You chuckled lowly.

"Nah, don't say that! You look pretty nicely shaped, I'm sure you have some potential, at least!" Akane said. "C'mon!"

"Akane, as much as I would want to help, I really wouldn't be able to..." You muttered.

"Mmm... Coach Nekomaru!! Tell herrrr!" Akane whined, extenuating the last 'her'.

"What did I just SAAAYYYYYYY!!!" Nekomaru yelled. "You must stop speaking down on yourself like that!! Akane is right, you definitely have some potential, you just need to let go of your pessimistic mindset!!" He yelled again. "I will help you uncover your true self worth if it's the last thing I do. Or else, my name isn't NEKOMARU NIDAAAIIIIII!"

"D...Do I have to train like you and Akane did?" You asked. "Cause I'm pretty sure you'd kill me."

"Ba-hahaha! You're very humorous!" Nekomaru said. "And don't worry, I'll be helping you step by step." He reassured, as he put his MASSIVE MOTHERFUCKING HAND LIKE WHAT THE FUCK DUDE atop your head, ruffling your hair roughly. You giggled at the contact.

Akane then soon came up behind you and embraced you tightly. "See? I told ya' you had potential!" She laughed. "But... I'm gonna go train now... I'm fully committed to beating Coach Nekomaru!" Akane stated. "See ya' later!" She waved off, as she limped her way off the beach.

"If she fought that fiercely with her own style...how ominous. My hands are still numb..." Nekomaru said, as he held up his hand that wasn't currently situated on your head.

"That girl... She's probably gonna get even stronger." Ibuki said.

"Akane is already amazingly strong... I can't imagine what she'll be like when she gets stronger." You muttered. "I still need to check out that beach house, though... I'll catch you guys later!" You waved off.

"Aww... Bye bye (F/N)~!!" Ibuki waved, extravagantly.

"Goodbye!!" Nekomaru yelled.

The beach house looked to be moderately sized, and the entrance to it was actually pretty nice, and bigger than you were. Pushing open the door, you lightly gasped at the interior of the beach house. It's color scheme consisted of light sea-foam green and coppers, along with a white tile floor and a big chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It was something akin to what you would see in a Hollywood movie, based on how luxurious everything looked altogether.

"Wow..." You gaped, your eyes almost sparkling at how magnificent everything looked. After you took your gaze off of the chandelier, you realized that Kazuichi was also inside the beach house.

"Hey, Miss (F/N)!" He exclaimed, grabbing your attention. You smiled.

"Hi Kazuichi!" You said, walking closer to the mechanic.

"Hey, doesn't this feel awesome? Like a celebrity's pad or something?" He pondered.

"I've been to multiple hotels that look like this... but never stayed long enough to actually appreciate it... This is so nice..." You said, mumbling your last bit.

"Woah, really Miss (F/N)!?" Kazuichi gaped, eyes sparkling as if he was a kid eyeing their favorite candy. "Th-That's so awesome!"

"I usually didn't stay long, so I never really had any chances to enjoy it, but wow..." You smiled.

"The shower is out of order, but the ambience is nice...and the fridge is stocked with loads of drink... Hehe, plus the beach outside feels so private. It's awesome! Compared to urban seas that are full of trash and debris, this place is completely different!" Kazuichi informed.

"Since we're the only ones on this island, pretty much all our beaches are private... But holy shit does this one look amazing..." You professed. "It'd feel so nice to go for a swim, if I'm being honest."

"Y-You're totally right Miss (F/N)!" Kazuichi exclaimed. "It'd be awesome! Totally awesome! Splashing around at such a gorgeous beach is really the best!" He turned to you excitedly.

"I wonder what Miss (F/N) would look like in a two piece..." Kazuichi muttered, looking at you, while you looked out the window at the beach.

(i cringed writing that ngl)

Suddenly, Monomi popped up.

"You can't!" Monomi argued, starling you.

"Ah!" You exclaimed, jumping backwards slightly out of fear, accidentally landing on Kazuichi, Luckily, he caught you.

"Woah! It's here!" Kazuichi exclaimed. "Why not? Why are you trying to interrupt my fantasies!?" He cried.

"AyO-"

"Changing in the beach house is prohibited! It would be bad if shameful peeking occurred!" Monomi stated.

"Oh, that just means changing here isn't allowed... That means we can still go to the beach." You said.

"Th-Then we can come here *after* changing. I'm never gonna give my fantasies up!" Kazuichi exclaimed.

"Anyway, breaking the rules is not allowed. Also, playing is fine, but please focus on your studies, too..." Monomi said.

After Monomi had said that, Monokuma had popped up... Only he had a machine gun, and multiple belts of ammo.

"Wh-Where!? Where's the rule breaker!? I'll beat the crap out of them, no questions asked!" Monokuma stated, as he was unnaturally sweaty,

"OH JESUS-" You yelped, jumping back once again.

"Kyaaah! He's here!" Monomi squealed.

"Wh-What the fuck are you holding!?" You exclaimed at the dual colored bear.

Monokuma huffed. "...A machine gun, obviously..."

"Y-Yeah, but... why?" You asked again.

"So that I can catch any rule breakers in the act! Rule breakers will be shot to death... That's just common sense!" Monokuma stated.

"It's 'common sense' where!? It's not like we're under a military dictatorship!" Kazuichi exclaimed.

"Ugh...I wanna shot something...I know I'm not allowed to...but I really wanna shot something right now!" Monokuma grumbled.

"C-Control yourself!" Monomi panicked.

"I have iron willpower...so I'll endure it...no matter the cost...until the day someone breaks the rules!" Monokuma stated, extremely hopeful that someone would actually end up breaking the rules. After he said that, Monokuma quickly disappeared into the ground.

"U-Um... As you can see, it's very dangerous, so please refrain from changing at the beach house." The scared, quivering voice of Monomi spoke, before she disappeared as well.

You and Kazuichi just stayed there, blinking in a mix of disbelief and fear.

"Wow. That was...totally bizarre... Man, they're annoying..." Kazuichi said.

"I...I second that." You exhaled, before turning to the pink haired mechanic, smirking. "...Fantasies, huh?" You elbowed him, teasingly, as his faced turned akin to his hair.

"Y-Y-You heard me Miss (F/N)!?" Kazuichi panicked, as you nodded, giggling. Kazuichi groaned before he pulled his beanie over his face, muttering about how 'Miss (F/N) probably hates me now...'

"Hey, don't worry! I don't really care." You chuckled. "We're all teenagers... On an island... Alone. The fact that we're all teenagers is enough to say."

"Y-You... You don't hate me Miss (F/N)...?" Kazuichi muttered, as he began slowly lifting his beanie up from his eyes.

"No! Of course I don't... I have thoughts of my own, so I can't really judge." You said.

"Y-You do...!?" Kazuichi asked, mouth agape.

"Yep! ...I can tell you some...under one condition..." You said, slowly.

"Y-Y-Yes! What is it!?" Kazuichi blabbered.

"...Do you know where Nagito is?" You asked, innocently, as Kazuichi's eyes widened. "I haven't seen him at all, which is weird considering that I've already explored the whole island, and in the mornings, Nagito would usually come to us..." You said, meeting the now panicking eyes of the mechanic. "So... do you know where he is?"

"I-I don't know... B-But why do you care  about that crazy-ass bastard!?" Kazuichi exclaimed. "We need to search this island first and foremost! There might be a way to escape! S-So don't worry about him, Miss (F/N)! J-Just don't!"

"Hmm... Fine." You muttered. "Dammit! I was sure that would work... But, he's definitely hiding something, I can tell."

"Oh, (F/N), there you are." A soft spoken voice said from behind you, prompting you to look to see who called your name...

It was Chiaki. You smiled.

"Hey, Chiaki... Did you find something?" You asked.

"...Yeah... I'm letting everyone else know too, but can you come to the ancient ruins on this island right away?" Chiaki instructed.

"Yeah, you got it." You smiled.

"Okay, good. Hurry up, please." Chiaki said, lightly smiling as she quickly left the beach house.

"Okay, time to head over to the ancient ruins...!" You said, as you began to walk out.

"W-Wait! Miss (F/N)!" Kazuichi exclaimed as you reached the door. "A-Aren't you gonna tell me!?"

"I can't now! Chiaki said we have to get to the ancient ruins. She probably has something important to say." You said, as you opened the door. "C'mon, c'mon!"

Kazuichi then hurried over to you, so that you could close the door, and you both began walking to the ancient ruins, as Chiaki has ordered.

You asked the gamer earlier to let you know if she had discovered anything of importance. If Chiaki did, and was now instructing everyone to make their way to the ancient ruins...

Chiaki obviously must've found something vital.
