I ramble about art
So I've noticed a lot of artists who are very self deprecating about their art skills when they shouldn't be because their art is awesome.
Every artist must start from the bottom, doesn't matter how old you are, everyone will start at a point where their art isn't the best. Look at 2016 me ;)
Circle tool users unite
So to avoid art looking like mine, I'm going to give a few tips that are mostly for digital art but not all of them.
Use layers
Layers is one of the best things that you could ever use, take advantage of them!! Don't draw everything in one layer. It can cause things to look very messy
Clean up at the end
This is something I always forget to do but to anyone who doesn't to it, make it a habit. Make sure your lineart is clean and that all your color is within it. If you aren't using lineart or drawing over it, make sure the edges are clean
Make sure everything is colored
As you see in my old art not everything is colored in and there are white spaces, try to avoid that!!
Use references!!
It is not taboo to use references! Don't only use references for the character you're trying to draw but for the pose as well. I can tell you from experience, when I started using references, my art improved 110%. If you can't find the pose you are looking for online, ask another artist for help and they will most likely be able to help you.
I hope these tips help you
