so I've been meaning to do a chapter like this for awhile now, and somehow I'm just now getting around to it, and I can't wait to unleash *wink* if any of you guys know me at all, you know I'm a die-hard westallen shipper (i'd jump in front of a truck for them) and even better, I will love and protect iris west for as long as I live.

most ships that I dislike in shows I can tolerate to a certain extent, such as stalia for example. I used to HATE the ship, but now I'm pretty chill with it honestly, I wouldn't throw a fit if they were endgame (although I'd rather scalia to be cannon but that's just me) BUT back to the point: most of the time, I don't sincerely hate a ship...except for one.

I can't tell if it's the lack of chemistry they have, the actress that can't act worth shit, or the crazy af fans that continue to piss me off on instagram and twitter, but I seriously cannot stand the idea of barry and caitlin being together.

now before any of you come at my throat, let me list my reasons.

1. There's no chemistry??

You cannot base a ship on just a few looks here and there...it just don't work like that. By that logic, people would be shipping me with the waiter that's bringing me food. Seriously though, the only moments that I see between them only show a good friendship, nothing more.

2. Their kisses make no sense?

The ONLY kisses these two have had were first the one where it WASN'T EVEN BARRY, BUT A CLONE, the second being her trying to kill him as Killer Frost?? like WOW so romantic, I can feel the heat !!

3. Danielle cannot act what-so-ever.

how do I put this nicely...she literally cannot act at all. honestly, she's the worst actress I've ever seen. sure that doesn't say much about snowbarry, but her bad acting is the result of me not seeing any type of connection at all...? but in case you can't take my word for it, take a look for yourself..

4. SB fans are wack.

some of them I like, don't get me wrong, they actually aren't all delusional. but most of them man...let's just say that my hell would have them there. but let's just look at some of the evidence, shall we?

I'll agree that the writers aren't giving Iris the journalism arc she deserves, but she does work?? She literally writes and publishes articles at CCPN, which is a job, thank you very much. What in the hell does Caitlin do? There's no way she gets paid at STAR Labs....

Iris wasn't being selfish, she was being selfLESS. She just wants Barry to be happy; to not carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. She lied for the time being because it wasn't important...let Barry have at least an episode to be happy goddamn.

Why do followers matter? DP has been acting for like years now and CP is practically just starting off her career. If anything, it's sad that DP only has that many..

Lmao you worded that SO wrong...it's more like Iris wanting what's best for Barry, and Caitlin wanting Barry to get his memories back so Savitar could come back (which would not save the city in any way) not to mention the fact that she only wants him back so she can get what SHE wants, not what the city wants. Let's be honest, she was only trying to save her own ass here.

and finally, these guys LOVE to claim that there's no chemistry and good scenes between iris and barry, yet still continue to use their scenes for snowbarry edits?? logic.

Gotta comment on the one above...the quote is meaning Iris. In the future, Barry doesn't give a damn about Caitlin as Killer Frost. Makes me cackle actually.

5. nothing compared to westallen.

idc if you don't ship westallen, but I'm sorry, any other ship compared to them is found dead in their tracks. no, i'm not saying this just because I love them so freaking much, but hands down, they are the healthiest damn couple on TV right now.

Iris is Barry's lightning rod, literally. She helps him get back up on his feet from time to time again. She pulled him back from the speed force. She saved him from Grodd. She trusted him enough to jump out of a building for him to catch her and save her. She puts everyone else before her, even when Barry and the others are working so damn hard to save her. She's his home.

Barry needs Iris just as much as Iris needs Barry; the writers have made that pretty clear. For heaven's sake, they even had a future episode to show that team flash falls apart with the death of Iris, so don't sit there and tell me that Iris is worthless/doesn't contribute to the team, cause without her, your faves are close to nothing, ight?

but even after all of this, SB shippers still wanna claim they deserve to be together. Most of them claim that Iris is bad for Barry...that he never even really cares for her at all. like excuse me? He's had a crush on her since he met her. It's confirmed that she even fell in love with him back when they were kids?? Like what more do you want?

I don't care what anyone else says, Iris and Barry are perfect for one another and that's the absolute truth. They are two halves that make a better whole, and they effect everyone else around them too. So yes, when Barry says "There wouldn't be the flash without iris west" he damn means it. He doesn't mean "Without iris west I'd go straight to Caitlin cause I love her unconditionally"  bitchhh no.

6. The shippers are sort of toxic?

these wack people are seriously shipping Killer Frost and Savitar together and claiming they're the "Queen and King of Central City" like some sort of Joker x Harley shit. As if Harley and Joker weren't toxic enough?? now y'all wanna ship these two stupids?

Most of them are even making fun of the fact that *SPOILER ALERT* Barry is Savitar, but he's not? They're all like "LOL BARRY KILLS IRIS HAH HE TRULY IS A SNOWBARRY SHIPPER" lmao no did you not catch the fact that it's a TIME REMINANT? meaning that IT'S NOT EVEN THE REAL BARRY? mmk thanks.

and lmao as if Savitar Barry would go for her cold ass when he quivers at Iris' touch

so yeah, if you ever get into watching the flash, make sure you ship the winning side because as you can see, this clearly ain't the road to take.
