alright, I've been seeing so much bull crap lately about Iris West, so this chapter is dedicated to her.

"Iris West is annoying and selfish."

I need receipts for that. How is she selfish? A selfish person would have ran for her damn life instead of staying and helping Barry and the rest of team flash. A selfish person would have sat their ass down and cried + gave up about the death of their fiancé. Iris West did neither of those things; she stayed strong and stayed for her friends; for her family. We barely got anything about her mourning Eddie, but Caitlin was over there boohooing about it like she was the only one who lost a loved one. Yes, she had the right to mourn, but Iris doesn't? Oh right, that makes her selfish.

"Westallen is so disgusting. They're like siblings."

UHM *clears throat* The only way that would be disgusting or incest would be if they were related by blood, which they aren't. And then if you throw back in our faces that they are still basically siblings, I'll throw back in your face that DP said that she felt as if Caitlin and Barry were siblings as well ((:

"Iris West has no relevance on the show. Kill her off."

Alright, I guess if we get rid of her, then Barry would be lost and probably have died by now without her. Haven't you noticed? Iris snaps him out of everything and gets him back on track. Like when she saved him from Grodd and the train, like how she pulled him out of the speed force, like how she talked to him in the latest episode after EVERYONE ELSE DID, and then she was the only one to get through to him. I could go on, but you'll be here all day.

Oh, not to mention, that in the comics, without Iris fucking west, there would be no twins. Yeah, that's right. Without Iris, we wouldn't have any of those awesome characters, so think about that when you want her killed off.

"Barry and Iris have no connection."

OH MY FUCKING GOD, OKAY? NO CONNECTION? IRIS IS LITERALLY BARRY'S LIGHTNING ROD. Do you not remember how she found out that he was the flash? She literally has a spark with him, and if that doesn't mean anything to you, then idfk what to tell you.

"Candice Patton is a terrible actor; she isn't even white like in the comics."

First of all, Candice is the best damn actor in that goddam show besides Grant. I've cried almost every single time during her scenes; I feel what she's feeling and thinking. I can tell you I've never cried once at DP's scenes, but I'm just throwing that out there.

And if her skin color offends you, you shouldn't even be watching the show. I got on twitter one night and saw someone tweet "what was it like kissing a monkey, grant?" and I was literally so disgusted. The amount of hate she gets is sickening; just for the color of her fucking skin. It's 2016 people; we deserve equality.

"Candice isn't the lead lady; Danielle is."

I'm sorry, I just had to get that off of my chest. This is in no way about westallen at all; just for the sole purpose of my support in Iris and Candice. I love her so fucking much and deserves to be defended at all costs.
