Honey Whiskey
°I think I better go before I try something I might regret °
"You're so adorable."
Ash couldn't help but replay Jimin's short but sweet words in her head, it made her feel giddy and a little uneasy, to say the least. Thinking about his smile and his eyes, she knew her face was hot and sporting a bright shade of red.
This wasn't the first time he has complimented her, yet it felt different and strange. It maybe had something to do with the dream she had of him as well as that heated moment they shared that morning. He can be so sweet for a minute and turn into a charmer the next.
Ashley held her growling stomach as sweat droplets slid on her chest and forehead, she was feverish and uncomfortable mainly because she was in the middle of the hotel lobby in nothing but a swimsuit. She had nothing to cover her top half and her legs were barely covered with the wrap.
It seemed strange considering that this hotel wasn't a family-friendly, view by the beach type of venue. It was sophisticated, elegant and oozed black marble. From the guests she saw, it was mainly suit and tie business people and a resting place for travelling rich people. There was little to no children as there was no attraction for them such as a pool or beachside. Staying there meant you were hugged between concrete buildings and high palm trees.
Clutching her pink shopping bag with her wet clothes to her chest she made a b line for the elevator when she bumped into a kind face.
"Ah, Gregory!"
"Miss, Ashley," the wrinkles around his eyes turned up as he smiled and once over her attire.
"Looks like you enjoyed yourself at the beach today, I'm envious."
"Really? Didn't peg you for a beachgoer, more like a quiet night drinking and slow dancing,"
He laughed. "That does sound more appealing on a cool night out in the town, did anything interesting occured between you and Mr Park?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary," she shifted her feet.
His nose wrinkled. "Somehow I find that hard to believe,"
"It's true! Nothing happened!"
"Alright, alright," he moved out of the way to walk on, reaching into his pocket.
"Here, have a sweetie," he revealed a red lollipop and pulped it in her open hands.
Ash stared at the treat with doe eyes and a watery mouth.
"Thank you!" she bowed, earning another kind-hearted smile as he left.
Unwrapping the cherry lollipop she wanted to change out of her swimsuit as soon as possible. Since they left without Daejung's approval she didn't want him to see her in such revealing clothes. Watching the floor in deep thought she was struck by a shoulder hitting her own.
"Ah, sorry!" She said as a reflex and looked up to see a girl shooting her a dirty look. Not wanting to unsettle the situation, Ashley bowed.
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention," She looked up at the girl again she took in the sight of her scrutinizing glare beneath her thick-rimmed glasses. She seemed to be around her late teens judging by her young face and style of clothing. She wore a black turtle neck shirt that hugged her body and a pair of denim high wasted jeans paired with black ankle booties. Along with complimentary gold jewellery. The girl immediately fell into the category of a rich person. Or rather a girl of rich parents.
"You're that group's translator right?" Was the first thing she said, her voice was shallow and uninterested considering her question. Ash thought smartly about what she would say. It's not like the existence of Ashley was private knowledge she was seen in interviews for this trip so it wouldn't do her good to lie.
"You mean bts? Yes, I'm their translator." She simply said not giving away unnecessary information.
Indifferent by her answer the girl did a once-over at Ashley's frame, raising her brows in question.
"Quite a skimpy outfit for a staff member isn't it?" The girl spat.
"Well I don't think my jeans and t-shirt would be appropriate for the beach," Ash said, scratching her head.
What's with this girl?
Her expression hardened under her glasses. "Don't get too comfortable."
Ash's mouth twitched with annoyance as she was biting back her words. She knew nothing about this person so it would not be wise to start a bothersome squabble in this refined establishment where persons of higher importance resided.
It would also not look good if headlines like, 'Famous boyband translator fights over them with a fan! Are the members dating them!? ' get into messy hands of the tabloids. Ash had a responsibility to uphold and maintain and taking part in a fight was not on her list.
"Excuse me, I have to get going," Ashley said before walking away but she saw the roll of the girl's almond-shaped eyes.
Shaking her head she ignored that weird encounter. She didn't seem like a fan, normally fans would be polite and ask about the members, not the staff. Could she be an influencer? So a model? She's dressed pretty fancy for it but in LA everyone is expected to dress accordingly to their wealth. Whatever she hoped she didn't run into her again.
Nearing her hotel room in the distance she saw another unwelcoming figure. Daejung in the middle of the hallway. Side-stepping into a corner where the emergency exit door was, she peeked out. To her dismay, he was still lingering there probably waiting for someone to come out of one of the rooms.
Crap.
He looked like a tyrant just standing there in his all-black attire Ash had a bad feeling about this visit.
"Who are we hiding from?" A breath peppered against the shell of her ear, her body did nothing to stop the scream that was about to escape her throat. However, the warm hand clasped over her mouth did a good job of muffling her screech. She sank a little lower against the wall, relieved it was only Jimin.
"Like I said who are we hiding from?" He mused letting her mouth free.
"Uh- Daejung, and where did you come from?"
Jimin peeked out and indeed saw the man standing in the hallway.
"I saw a little kitten acting suspicious and I thought she might be in trouble,"
"Idiot," she placed her candy into a mouth again. Her brows peaked up at his new attire, black jeans, a black t-shirt and a blue denim jean jacket. He changed pretty fast even though they just got to the hotel.
She popped the candy out of her mouth. "Going somewhere?"
"The guys want to go out to eat, you up for it?"
"Yeah that sounds good," she said half heartily, craning her neck to see if Daejung was there, and he was. But this time he seemed to be talking on the phone, though she shouldn't make out any words.
"Why are you hiding in the first place?"
"I don't want him to see me like this," she narrowed her eyes under his gaze.
He simpered and lowered his head to meet her eyes. She noticed specks of grey scattered in his brown eyes and wondered if there were contacts.
"Are you afraid of what he'll think?" He asked referring to her swimsuit.
Clenching her wrap, her cheeks flushed, as his presence towered her.
When she didn't say anything he gently pulled the lollipop out of her mouth and welcomed it in his own. Shell-shocked, she stayed quiet and redden a deeper hue of crimson. Peeking from the corner into the hallway he sighed.
"He's still there," He said.
"Well you should leave before he sees us," she said.
Looking at her she smirked and pulled out the candy.
"Sees us doing what?"
"T-that's not what I meant," she tried to keep a calm composer but his attics was making it hard to think properly.
"I meant catches us talking together,"
"But we're only talking,"
You sly-
"I know but-"
"If he catches us doing something like this then he'll have something to talk about,"
Before she could say another word she was silence by her lollipop entering her mouth again, a good thing to cause it sure muffled her moan in her throat when his tongue made contact with her neck. Fisting his shirt he butterflied kissed and licked down her neck. The cherry flavour together with the salt on her skin filled his senses with delirium.
Sucking more deeply into her flesh he felt her moan try to come out. Smirking at her muffled moans he lifted her up and she hooked her legs onto his waist for support when a thought came to her.
"Not my neck please," she muttered hotly through the lollipop in her mouth.
He stopped and stared, taking in the sight of her catching her bottom lip between her teeth.
"I don't want a hickey on my neck," she blushed narrowing her eyes to avoid his piercing ones.
If a hickey does appear on her skin then it will be hard to come up with an explanation especially to Daejung, her reputation to him is already fragile and she did not need a mysterious kiss mark arousing suspicion.
Before he could say anything footsteps thumped down the hallway causing them to pull apart. Ash faked a yawn and stretched and Jimin pretended to check his phone, acting like they weren't about to sex each other up.
The figure appeared out of the hallway and to Ash's dismay it was that same girl she passed on her way over here. She paused and looked at Ashley with a stern look of clear annoyance, but her face lit up with the view of Jimin leaning on the wall with a bored expression scrolling thought his phone.
Strutting past Ash, she got a whiff of her strong perfume, the scent was nice but it was clear that she put too much on. Knowing where this was going Ashley stepped back a couple of feet to let the two talk since she didn't want to seem like she was listening to them. However, she was close enough to hear their conversation.
"U-um, Jimin Oppa?" She questioned sweetly. Ashley rolled her eyes as a reflect at her voice change, when she talked to her earlier her tone was flat now her voice was bubbly and eager.
Jimin looked up from his phone with a small smile enough to make a school girl's heart flutter.
The girl faked surprised as she inched closer to him to get a better look. "Ah! I knew it! Jimin Oppa! I'm a big fan of you!" Ashley was half surprised to know she could speak Korean so well.
"Thank you, I really appreciate your support,"
"Anytime! My favourite song has to be your new one! It's amazing and your voice is heavenly,"
"Please, you're too kind," Jimin caught a glimpse at Ashley's eye rolled as she gave her lollipop a final suck before crushing it between her teeth and discarding the stick in the trash.
"What?" The girl asked when his gaze did not return to her.
"Oh, nothing thought I saw a kitten hissing, just my imagination,"
Ashley scoffed out loud and immediately regretted it as the two looked their way at her. One with angry eyes and another with a dumb smile across his face.
"Um Oppa, can I take a selca with you?"
Jimin nodded his head and they both were in view of Ash, Jimin's attention fluttered back and forth at Ash, his eyes trailed her creamy legs that shown through the fishnet wrap.
"3, 2, 1," she counted as the flash of the camera went off.
Combing back his hair he smiled at her. "It was a pleasure to meet you,"
"Nevaeh!" She blurted out happily.
"Nevaeh, well I have to go now, there's an important meeting I must attend to."
"Ehh? Do you have to go now? Can we meet up sometime?" She whined in protest.
"I'm so sorry I can't." He gave an apologetic smile and wave.
Jimin turned and walked away, facing Ash he motioned for her to follow him down the hall to which Ash gave an uneasy nod.
When he disappeared Ashley was about to leave when Nevaeh yelled for her attention.
"Hey, translator!"
"What?" She paused and shot an annoyed glare at the girl stomping her way to her.
Ugh this oughta to be good.
"I know you think you're so smart and buddy-buddy with him but you better watch yourself, he is mine!"
"Yeah, and Ryan Gosling is mine," Ash spat back. "Gimme a break, girly, you can't put your possessions on people who didn't even know you existed up until 2 minutes ago."
Ash half heartily regretted her statement. She knew what was about to come when Nevaeh's eyes were glaring at her with rage to kill.
Ah! Shit! Dumb Ass! You said you weren't gonna have a fight with her. I really messed up this time!
"What did you say, bitch!?" Neveah shrieked raising her hand to slap Ashley, but her palm came into contact with someone else.
Mortified at what she had done she struggled to speak through her stuttered rambles.
"O-oh my god! J-jimin I'm s-so sorry I didn't mean to hit you!" Neveah covered her mouth as her eyes grew wide with horror.
"S-she was saying rude things to me and-"
"Could you please refrain from hitting Ashley, I know she has a smart mouth but there's no need for violence." Jimin smiled at her but it was no way near similar as the one he had on when meeting her. This smile was through gritted teeth and his eyes were cold and dark.
Neveah stepped back looking to the floor with nothing left to say. Jimin took Ashley's hand and guided her to his room.
Silence filled the void between them. Ashley was contemplating what had just occurred and hoped it wasn't going to escalate any more than it already has. With Jimin's back to her, she became restless to his still form. She couldn't tell if he was angry or not but the silence was getting too loud for her nerves.
Opening her mouth to speak, she swiftly closed it when he turned to her and took off his jacket while wearing a smirk on his lips.
"Now how should you pay me back?"
"E-evil!" Ashley pointed accusingly at him.
A knock on the door silenced them. They caught each other's gaze as another loud knock echoed through the room.
"Jimin! Are you and Ash ready?!" Namjoon called at the other side of the door.
"To be continued," Jimin noted as he slipped his jacket back on.
"Oh, you would love that."
"Of course," He teased. When he was about to leave she stopped him with a touch on the shoulder. He raised his brow as her warm hand came to inspect his cheek.
"Seems liked nothing is broken, only a little red,"
"I see,"
Fidgeting with her fingers she cleared her throat. "Thank you for jumping in like that,"
He smiled at her sudden awkward and shy manner considering that a couple of moments ago they were pressed against the wall wanting to tear each others' clothes off.
He chuckled and pinched her nose. "You're welcome. Now get ready for dinner." He left the room again leaving her in awe of how he can flip from sexy to cute in a blink of an eye.
Man, the duality of this guy...
