I didn't even know there was someone following me.

Until there was an arm snaked around my waist...

Suddenly, I wished that Tom and I had never set out on our late night trip to the party store down the street from my house.

We had been lounging around my house when we realized I had no good snacking foods. I offered to run to the party store and Tom could continue to be lazy.

"Clarice," He stood up, "you are not going out there alone, and at night.... There are too many creeps around at this time of night."

And boy, was he right.

However, we thought it was safe once we got in the store, but we were wrong. While Tom was over a few isles, finding some adequate snacking foods, I was left alone looking for drinks.

A couple strawberry lemonades and a couple 2 liter pepsis should suffice... I thought, searching through the coolers and suddenly there was an arm snaked around my waist.

At first, I thought it was Tom being funny, that was until a husky voice whispered in my ear, "Why don't I pay for your stuff and you can come home with me, darling..."

I froze. My heart beating so fast it made me slightly dizzy.

"I-I think I'm f-fine, thank you..." I said probably more politely than I should've been.

Quickly grabbing the drinks I needed I made for the snack isle where Tom was.

Of course, the guy followed me.

As soon as I rounded the corner, the guy had his arm in front of me, blocking my path to my best friend.

"That wasn't supposed to be a choice, pretty lady..." The man growled, which caught Tom's attention.

"Clarice?" He asked, slowly approaching us.

"Oh! Tom!" I smiled and walked around the man casually to get to him, "I see you got the chips.."

The man raised an eyebrow at me, not realizing that I hadn't come alone. As I saw him raise an eyebrow I linked my arm with Tom's.

"The is my boyfriend, Tom..." I giggled.

"B-boyfri-" Tom started to stutter as his cheeks began to turn pink and I elbowed him sharply in the side, thankfully getting the gist, "Oh, you're finally starting to introduce me as your boyfriend-?"

"Oh, be quiet..!" I sighed and smiled as he kissed my forhead, "Well, we should be going, Tom.."

As we checked out, I neglected to give the man anymore of my attention and on our way back to my house, Tom finally spoke up.

"Boyfriend, huh?" He smirked.

My cheeks immediately started to heat up, and I glanced away, "It was the only thing I could think of at the moment to get that guy's hands off me!" I defended myself.

"Yeah, okay..." He chuckled as I punched his shoulder, walking in my house.
