MONDAY MORNING

I don't know why I hate Monday mornings. Just 10 more minutes for her school bus to arrive and honk at the gate.
"Dollyyyyyyyyyyyy"

" Coming mom" she came down.
I stuffed her mouth with food.
She started whining.....
"You are lucky,a bus comes to pick you and drop...... in my days it would be your grandpa who would be dropping us. That too 5 in one scooter. You don't have to fight for places unlike us."

The bus came,
Dolly kissed me with the stuffed mouth and ran out waving at her friends.

She's just like me, she loves traveling even though it is just to her school. I miss those days when 5 of us would fit into 1 scooter and me being the youngest one would always sit behind him and hug Appa.

"Why are you smiling dear ? Remembering your scooter ride is it???" Amma's voice startled me.

"No no...... you never left me walk home from  school. You were so lucky you could walk  with your friends in that amazing place. ....." I replied with a smirk on my face.

"You were lucky your father would drop and pick you up on time. We literally had to walk 1km to school everyday".She had a playful smile on her face. Aboveall she's my mom noe..

"Whatever " I told packing my lunch box for work.

When I didn't get a reply I turned to face her,
there she was smiling widely at Dolly's pink umbrella.
I bet that just like me she would be remembering her days when she was the only  one had the bright pink umbrella  instead of the usual black ones. And how she would carry it to her school with pride even when it was not sunny or raining. Grandma had told she never left anybody to touch that umbrella for which she did a hunger strike.

Afterall,
No matter what,
Everybody wants to just rewind back time to their childhood and freeze it......

Shit its already 8'o clock. I gotta get going or else I'll get struck in the traffic and ruin my day...........
