The day opened as a soft sunrise for one Monkey D. Aurora.

As usual, she got up with Rotom being her alarm clock.

"Alright buddy, get the others up. We have a big day ahead of us."

She went to the kitchenette to fix up something for her friends.

She made some rice omelets, rice, and grilled chicken.

"Ah, breakfast!" Takara said as she and Hoshinko sat down with their starters getting their food too.

Ever since coming to this strange new world, Aurora and her friends had to find ways to adapt.

They could get by on their collected gold nuggets and pearls but they couldn't do it forever.

At least just three large gold nuggets got them more than 200 million dollars.

But they had to be careful because there are greedy collectors here.

However, they had gotten by with being freelance detectives and spies, and as of the past 3 months, they solved 12 cold cases, bringing 2 killers, an art swindler, 6 smugglers, and 4 thieves to justice.

But as they preferred mystery as their motto, they keep law enforcement away from them.

"So what's our next move?"

"We're going off to the Thraber Estate nearby. I did some investigating. I found the reason why this Art Collector is so protective of his treasures. After his death, his treasures were taken not by looters, but by counties he took them from." Aurora said.

"I get it, he was a Art Thief." Hoshinko said.

"Right. All his plunder was stripped from the manor, but one piece is still missing: The Lost Ceiling of the Francesi Palace. I suspect that it's hidden in plain sight somewhere, probably under plain plaster. And there's only one person that could know." Aurora winked.

"And they are keeping quiet because they want it for themselves. We're basically weaseling info out of him, huh?" Takara asked.

"Yeah, but we gotta get them first and quick, the manor is set to be demolished in a week."

The girls quickly got to work, getting hired as contractors, and soon they found the caretaker examining a ceiling getting hammers out, but the girls cornered him.

Finding the lost ceiling and contacting authorities, the caretaker was taken to jail.

Another successful job done, the girls headed off to celebrate.

Unknown to them they would encounter a peculiar group of men...

I'll be entering with Purrloin, as they would be surprised of an unknown cat breed, so we'll grab their attention to distract them.

Hoshi-chan, you are to locate the art pieces. Takara, you wiretap the broadcast with Rotom. I'm sure the audience and contestants would love to see how this ruse came together." Aurora said as Purrloin nodded.
