8 Years Later

Jade's POV

"I spy with my little eye, something beginning with t."

"Trees."

"Yup. Okay, I spy with my little e..."

"Trees."

'How did you know?'

I turned to face the boy walking beside me. "Because that's all you've been saying for the past hour!"

My twin brother just re-adjusted his stone sword and flicked back his black hair.

"Do you even know where we're going Luke?" I asked.

"Of course Jade. It should be right up here."

"You'd better be right," I huffed, readjusting the pack on my back. "Does your back hurt from the pack?"

"No. Does yours?"

"Yeah, like something hard is in it."

"Oh, that's where my pickaxes went."

"Luke!" I took off my pack and pulled out 2 stone pickaxes. "You are so mean."

A voice called out of the forest. "Jade! Luke! Come on you two!"

"Coming!" Luke and I jogged the last few metres to the clearing. There was a girl standing in the middle wearing a black shirt and black pants. She had a bow in her hand, arrows over her shoulder and a stone sword at her side.

"You were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago," the girl said. Her tone was even, but I knew she was annoyed. 

"Sorry Zip. Luke got us lost."

"I did not!"

"Yeah, you kind of did."

"Never mind. The others already started looking for tracks. Let's go hunt!" Zip ran off into the forest, Luke and I by her side.

Time skip to an hour or so later

Luke, Zip, Alex, Tim and I were sneaking around the forest. Luke and Tim were carrying sacks almost full of pork chops, beef and chicken. Zip was leading.Everyone stopped when she raised her hand. Alex, who was the best archer, brought up his bow, sighted and shot. Tim whooped.

"Nice shot Alex!"

More steaks were added to the bags. I looked up to the sun.

"It's getting late. We'd better head back, otherwise we'll be out here with the zombies and creepers."

"Creepers are okay you know. I mean they blow up and destroy stuff but that is pretty awesome." Luke threw the sack over his shoulder.

"Luke?"

"Yeah Zip?"

"Shut up."

We started walking back though the forest.

"You know..."

"LUKE!" Zip yelled.

"Okay, okay I'll be quiet," Luke said, rolling his eyes.

I smirked. There was no way Luke was going to be quiet. It just wasn't what he did and he is my younger twin brother after all.
