ROOTED OUT, GROUNDED IN
Yay!🎉🎊 Another poem🤩. Double update in one day! And this one has a rhyming pattern.🌝
May you be blessed by it. 🙏
•••°°°•••
Wilting away,
Trying hard to stay.
I'm a lone seed,
But with potential to meet needs.
Alas, there is no soil,
In the void, all is toil.
There comes a large hand,
Sturdy, strong, larger than the widest land,
He puts dark rich humus embedded with jewels,
Deep within are ever-springing wells.
He picks me, still a seed forsaken,
A giant in the making.
Automatically, fountains of fresh water spring forth from my roots,
Oh! I could as well spill out treasure loots.
Who knew I could be a source?
A life-giving force?
He holds me firmly with cords to the horns of the altar,
So I won't fall off, or run, or falter,
Who knew I could be stable and strong?
Oh! I had waited so long,
For the One who would holds me in His hands,
And lead me to greener lands.
Rooted out of the bellies of sin,
In Him, I am grounded in.
