(Stricklander x Half-Troll!Reader)

"You're the worst you know?" You giggle through the huffing of your breath. Your smile was huge and your eyes glowed in the deep dark night.

"I know," Stricklander chuckled back to you ", That's why we are here."

Here was perched on top of the edge of a building, your steely grip on the side of the building, sone clutching stone. You were ready to leap to the next building but Stricklander told you to wait, catch your breath. You were a Half-Troll, you were strong and he knew it, that's when he found you. He was on his seat, in a bar, drinking to forget the memory of his woman.

Barbara had died a week before you met him, it was her time and the guilt he felt was there and scared and sad. You were always fascinated by Changelings. Stricklander wasdeprived of his human form, youd seen pictures of it and it was equally attractive as his troll form in your opinion, six shot glasses in front of him and a seventh in his hand.

That was nearly twelve years ago and now the two of you were in Arcadia Oaks, perched on the roof of a building, stalking your prey.

"You'd think that the Gumm-Gumm scum would quit," You say with a little shrug ", I mean, nearly sixty years since The Battle."

"I agree," Stricklander huffed ", But the dimwitted ones joined and I think some are convinced that he is somehow alive."

"Ridiculous," You snort with a wave of your hand ", Makes me glad I'm a Half-Troll."

You chuckle and suddenly his green hand over your mouth, you debate on whether or not to bite him. You choose not too.

Stricklander points too the streets, a large troll wrecking the peaceful streets of Arcadia, a Gumm-Gumm helmet on its large head. You smack his hand away from your mouth and leap quietly to the next building.

"I said to wait!!" Stricklander called to you.

You grin and continue to leap from building to building, catching up with the rouge troll within seconds. Ah, the perks of being half. You let out a roar as you sink your hands onto the Gumm-Gumms' horns, and crash onto the street, your back scraping the concrete and tearing your shirt and shorts.

You could hear the flap of winds as Stricklander slammed his feet onto the spine of the Gumm-Gumm, a hiss oh your breath as the trolls arm crushed your chest. You let out a small cough as he is lifted off you by Stricklander, you aim a small kick towards the rouge. Stricklander throws the troll at a building and the sound of the rough hitting the wall nearly makes you sick, but the aggressive troll part of you relishes in it.

You leap back to your feet and a flex rolls down your spine as you lunge at the rouge again. You sink your claw-like hands into his back and it begins to crumble in your hands. You strike, again and again, marking his stone with your hands. As suddenly as he appeared he crumbled under you.

"I had it," You say rolling your eyes as you land on all for like a cat ", I could have had it down in two more hits."

"Well, My dearest," Stricklander says grabbing your arm and helping you stand ", I got it first."

You give him a sideways grin, bumping your nose into the crook of his neck and grinning ", You're so lucky I love you."

"I love you too."

You look at the scattered pile of rocks and laugh slightly.

"We should clear this out before sunrise," You say ", I'd rather not get a sunburn today."

"Understandable," Stricklander says his wings unraveling and begining to push the pile of rocks out of the street.

"You know you are so lucky to have lived this long," You say casually with an arm full of boulders.

"Why is that? I've seen too much death for it to be right, even for a changeling," Stricklander chuckles/

"You've seen the rise and fall of Gunmar, the birth of a new species, have found a mate you weren't afraid to be with, and I don't mean myself, you are lucky," You smile at him and toss the bounders into the sewers where trolls would patrol in case a situation like the nights happened ", I'm a mere fifty years old. I admire your thousands of years and hope I lucky enough to have that."

"I hope I die before you," Stricklander says with a small grin ", better yet, If you think about dying first, you can kill me beforehand."

"Sure thing Walter." You laugh and watch as his wings funnel the large stones into the sewer. You place the cover back over the manhole and trot over to his side, wrapping your long thin arms around his center. He encases you in his arms and then his wings. You didn't realize how cold you were before his large warm wing rested on you.

You look up at him and he kisses you.

You kiss him back and let yourself get lost in the kiss, your brain going insane with emotions. You stan on the tips of your feet to match his hight but he breaks the kiss to smile at you.

"Primitive human tradition," You say jokingly as he unwraps himself from you ", Let's head home, It's getting early."

You take his hand in yours and squeeze it lightly, he squeezes back, his bright eyes glowing in the dark like a cat's. The two of you started the short journey back to the Lake house. You both still called it the Lake house because that's what it was. The walls were lined with pictures of Stricklanders many adopted children, his late wife, and his stepson because Jim had finally let himself call Stricklander a father.

"Are you happy, Walter?" You ask him as you would every night before you both took refuge in the dark bedroom to sleep.

He looks you in the eyes, his hand resting on the doorknob ", I'm very happy, (Y/n)."
