Previously on Tales of Arcadia...

Vendel: this is Gumm-Gumm magic and thus, I don't know the proper incantation.

Strickler: I don't have it with me. It's in the Book of Ga-huel. In my office.

Jim: We have to go get it.

Angor: (Grin.) It looks like they don't have much time, earthbender.

YN: You bastard!

Angor: Fight me or save them, your choice.

YN: What matters is that Ms. Barbara has a chance to live.

YN: No, no, no, no, no! How didn't I see it coming!? He has it! He has the key! Trollmarket is in danger!

3rd POV

After everyone found out about Angor rot possessing the key, they wasted no time but to run straight to the trollmarket to warn Vendel.

Vendel: She allowed Angor Rot to obtain a Horngazel. The very key past Trollmarket's defenses?

YN: The fault is mine to take. Should I stop Angor rot.

Claire: It was in my purse. Toby and I were dangling off the roof. He cut it off and left.

Toby: It was a great everyday purse. It went with everything.

Jim: We might have time. Angor Rot rarely attacks during the day-

Vendel: Angor Rot is unpredictable at best. And if there isn't anything to stop him from creating havoc in Trollmarket then you have just put more than yourselves at risk.

Suddenly they hear Strickler shouting for help and they ran to see the that the trolls wants to kick Strickler outside. But the only ones in their way is Aarg and Blinky.

Troll: Get out of our way, Aarg!

Aarg: No.

Blinky: Let us discuss this matter like reasonable trolls! (Grunts.) Ruffians! Who threw that?

Strickler: Where's Jim? He gave me his word!

Jim: Put him down!

Jim: He helped save my mother. He's with me.

2ndtroll: He tried to release Gunmar!

3rdtroll: Get him out of here!

4thtroll: Changelings ain't right in Trollmarket!

Jim: It's not going to make a difference. Angor Rot wants me too, and the protective barrier won't stop him.

Blinky: What do you mean?

Jim: He has a Horngazel.

This enraged the trolls as they begins to shouting at him.

Jim: Look, you have a right to know!

Troll: Let's throw them both out!

They grab Jim to kick him outside with Strickler.

Toby: Jimbo!

Claire: It's not his fault!

They ignore the humans as they head upstairs until a wall of stone block their path.

YN: That's enough! Kicking them out won't solve our problem!

Vendel: And when you finish throwing them out, come back and throw me out, too.

Vendel stands on the wrecking car to get everyone's attention.

Vendel: Yes, the boy has made grave errors. But he's come through for us more times than I give him credit for. Trollmarket is in danger and our greatest defense has always been our Trollhunter and his earthbender friend, they earned my trust. He should have earned yours.

Blinky: You can throw me out, too!

Aarg: And me.

Toby: Us too, though technically, we don't live here. I'm just sayin'.

Bagdwella: Same for me. I've always stood with our Trollhunter.

Toby: Okay, yeah.

2ndtroll: I have to admit, it's true.

The trolls drop them by the stairs.

Strickler: What now, our infallible leader?

Jim: Now, we get ready to give Angor Rot the fight of his life!

The trolls in the market cheers before they prepare themselves for the upcoming battle. Some have their weapons ready while the rest hide indoors for those who don't want to fight. 

Claire: Guys, we have to tell Jim.

Jim: Tell me what?

NotEnrique: Tell who what? Nothing to see here.

YN: (Sigh.) Jim, there's good news and there's bad news.

Jim: What's the good news?

Everyone move aside for him to see Chompsky.

Jim: (Smiles.) Chompsky? No way! When did he get out?

Claire: A little while ago. We were gonna tell you, but with everything and your mom-

Jim: Why would you hold back the great news? He escaped the Darklands!

Toby: Uh, technically, he didn't.

This made Jim confused until YN speaks up.

YN: The bad news is that Gunmar let him go for one reason. To deliver a message from the darkland.

Claire: Jim, Gunmar knows you killed his son.

NotEnrique then translate Chompsky words.

NotEnrique: And he promises to make a river- no, an ocean of blood from your loved ones. And he's gonna make a throne. with their I think he said bones.

This surprised the humans before the changeling speaks.

NotEnrique: His words. Not mine.

Toby: And and he included a list.

NotEnrique begins to list the names of everyone.

Claire: We knew what we were getting into. After we find the last stone, we'll find my brother and end this once and for all.

NotEnrique continues to list the names.

Tiby: It goes on for a while. You don't need to listen to this.

Claire: It's like you said, we shouldn't be focused on the fight tomorrow but the fight today.

YN: Too bad we don't have stones to kill Angor Rot instead of Gunmar.

Strickler: Or so you think.

Strickler enters the room.

Strickler: Maybe you do have a stone.
Angor's eye.

Jim: You're saying I can use this in my amulet?

YN: If it gives us the advantage against him. Then its a risk worth taking.

Toby: Jim, you're gonna level up again!

Strickler: If cut with the proper guidance.

Jim: Show me where to cut.

Time skip

Everyone make haste to prepare themselves, Jim is cutting Angors eye, Claire and Toby ready their weapons, Aarg check if he still have enough strength, Blinkys hands have weapons ready, YN is meditating to keep his mind sharp and focus, Draal is taking a moment to speak to his father statue before the battle, and Jim is finally finished with cutting the stone. Afterwards, Jim takes Strickler to the gyre to let him leave.

Strickler: Are you sure there isn't anything more I can do?

Jim: The other trolls don't trust fighting alongside you. And honestly, neither do I.

Strickler: You kept your word. And after everything I've done. Once again, you've proved why you are- (Chuckles.) the hero, and I am...

Jim: Someone who can change.

Strickler: Your idealism is nearly contagious. My gratitude cannot be enough.

Strickler offers Jim a final gift that is a small stone.

Jim: Gee, a friendship rock?

Strickler: After you're done with Angor's eye, I thought you could use Gunmar's. You need the last Triumbric stone to defeat Gunmar.

This surprise Jim as he picks up the stone before Strickler explains.

Strickler: I've been holding onto it for centuries. I kept it close in case you drove a hard bargain to protect me.

Jim: But if I kill Gunmar...

Strickler: Save the children? Yes, if you rescue my familiar, then I'll be trapped in my troll form forever. But there's nothing left for me in the human world. It's not like I'll ever have a future with your mo-

Jim: Ah, don't.

Strickler: I have overstayed my welcome.

Jim: Thank you.

Strickler gets on the gyre before speaking while prepares the vehicle.

Strickler: You may not believe me, Young Atlas but I do wish you luck and hope we meet again one day.

Jim: Goodbye, Mr. Strickler.

Strickler nods and he leaves trollmarket before YN arrive to speak with Jim.

YN: Jim...its time.

Time skip

The entrance from the crystal stairs begins to pound as the trolls run to cover.

Vendel: Hurry! Protect yourselves! Everyone!

Toby: Is he knocking? Is that some sort of troll war etiquette?

Blinky: I believe he's attempting to intimidate us.

YN: I can't detect him with this seismic activity!

Jim: He's expecting us to hide. I say we take the fight to him. Draal, hold the stairs. Blink, Claire, Tobes, protect Trollmarket. Aarg, NotEnrique, YN, with me.

NotEnrique: I'm rather comfy where I am.

YN: No time for ball game.

YN grabs NotEnrique and they head upstairs. Once they got to the entrance, Jim hands another key to NotEnrique for him to open while Jim gets his amulet.

Jim: For the glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command.

Jim got his armor while YN created a lava disk and NotEnrique opens the entrance.

Jim: We're not letting him past us!

YN then realize what's banging when he got closer and shouts.

YN: That's not angor rot! Its-

Just then, it was a crystal golem that's been banging the entrance.

Jim: What the?

YN: Watch out!

Aarg immediately punch and rip the core out of the golem before destroying it.

NotEnrique: Wowza, big guy, let's keep it PG. Where's Angor Rot?

YN: It's a diversion! He must be coming in another way!

Aarg: Other way?

Jim: The Gyre Station!

They run downstairs to meet everyone.

Claire: What happened? Where's Angor Rot?

Troll: There he is!

They see Angor rot is already in the trollmarket.

Troll: Let's do this, boys!

Three of the trolls charge at him but were instantly killed with Angors speed.

Jim: Angor!

Angor: Trollhunter, I have some friends I'd like you to meet.

Angor tosses more cores as it caused an earthquake until more of the crystal golems appear.

YN: He has an army of crystal golems!

Claire: (To Jim.) You handle Angor. We got this.

Everybody fight the crystal golems. Draal and Aarg are taking them down easily, Claire and Toby are having trouble until YN throws a giant rock at one.

Successfully destroying the core before another one was going for the punch but YN caught it before catching another one. The golem tries to overpower him, but YN just smirks as he uses earthbending against the crystal to create an armor out of the golems crystal.

YN: Oh yeah, now we're talking.

He rips out the golems core and destroys it. Meanwhile Jim faces Angor rot as he pulls out his sword.

Angor: When will you learn that Daylight is mine to command?

Angor summons Jim's sword but it then returns back to Jim.

Angor: No!

Jim: Guess I should thank you for giving me the stink-eye.

Angor: My eye!

Angor draw his dagger out and charges at Jim. They both clash their weapons together. Meanwhile the others are still fighting the crystal golems as Toby charges straight towards one.

Toby: Feel the wrath of the Warhammer!

Suddenly his hammer begins to float as he loses its control.

Toby: No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

This gave the golem the opening to punch him down.

Claire: Watch out!

YN: I got him!

YN blocks the golem strike while Claire uses the teleport to get Toby away. But ends up on the top of the other golem as he screams.

Claire: Oops! Sorry!

Vendel sees the opening and stab it with his staff before helping the human up.

Vendel: Excellent work, pudgebag.

YN: Claire, look out!

Another golem grabs Claire and starts to squeeze her.

NotEnrique: Oy! No one lays a hand on my sister! Ya brute!

NotEnrique charges and lands on the golems face before he starts beating its face up until it threw them away.

Claire: You saved my life, bro.

NotEnrique: Let's not get sentimental.

Jim and Angor are still fighting each other.

Angor: You destroyed my soul, Hunter now I shall harvest yours!

Just then, they hear car horn as it reveals to be Blinky driving the wrecked car from before.

Blinky: Oh, I enjoy this horn!

Jim: It's not "Hunter," Angor. It's "Hunters"!

Blinky: Eat chrome!

Blinky crashed directly to Angor and pins him down with the car.

Blinky: I drove! Did you see? I drove a human automobile! What a thrill!

Suddenly the car is lifted by Angor.

Jim: Blinky!

Angor then throws the car away while Blinky is still inside.

Blinky: Out of the way! Out of the way! Incoming!

YN finished one of the golems before he notice the car thrown towards him and he caught it as it pushes him against the stairs until he drops the vehicle.

YN: Are you okay, Blinky?

Blinky: In what you humans would say, totally worth it.

Angor: You thought I could be defeated that easily? That your human contraption could kill me?

Angor tosses more of golem cores as it summons more of the crystal golems.

YN: There's too many of them!

Blinky: Aarg, We require your strength!

Aarg helps Blinky out of the vehicle while Angor notice Toby is still having trouble with his hammer.

Toby: No! Stop it! Please, don't!

The hammer gently floats down but it became heavier for him to move. Angor grins and pulls out his creeper sun dagger.

Jim: Toby!

Aarg notice and runs. Angor throws the dagger at Toby, but Aarg risk his life to take the dagger to his chest before Toby notice his troll friend is turning into the stone.

Toby: No!

Jim: Aarg!

Toby runs towards his friend as Aarg is turning into the stone slowly.

Toby: Aarg?

Aarg: Wingman...

At his final moment, Aarg turned into a stone.

Toby: Aarg!

Claire notice and gasp before running to Toby but Draal stops her.

Draal: We are still in battle.

Claire: But Aarg!

Blinky: Oh, no....

Angor laughs which enraged Toby as he yells and charges at Angor.

Toby: I'm going to kill you!

Toby swings blindly by his anger but Angor easily dodges it before he's about to use his magic until Jim called him out.

Jim: I destroyed your soul! Your fight is with me! Not them!

Angor: As you wish, Trollhunter.

Jim runs off to draw Angor away from his friends. While Draal and Claire helps YN and Blinky out of the car.

Draal: The fight is not over.

YN: I've had enough!

YN stomps his feet and raise his hands before he creates lava under the golems as they sink down until YN cools the lava where the golems lower body are stuck underground.

YN: I couldn't risk everyone to do it. We gotta go help Jim!

Back with Jim, he led the assassin to the forge where their final battle will take place as he activated the forge. 

Angor: Clever Hunter!

Angor uses his magic to lock the gates to ensure no one interfere.

Angor: Just you and me now.

Jim climbs up and draw his sword while looking for Angor until he appeared and kicks Jim away.

Angor: The Hero's Forge. More like a coward's grave.

Jim gave everyone he got against Angor rot. But even with his new weapons, it was not enough.

Angor: Enough of your games!

Angor begins to chanting to force shut down the forge to its normal state.

Angor: Do you ever wonder how you've lived this long?

He blasted magic at him as everyone arrive only to have the gate closed.

Blinky: Master Jim!

Toby: No! Let us in!

YN: Hang on, Jim! 

Angor: The only reason you're alive is because you've let your loved ones fall in your place! Your teacher, the changeling! Your mother!

Every person he listed as he blast magic one by one. 

Claire: No! Jim!

Angor: And now your simple friend, Aarg, is dead!

Jim: (Yells.) No!

Jim draws his sword and swings at him but Angor blocks it with his magic as it knock Jim down to his knees.

Angor: But where are your loved ones now, Hunter?

YN: Get away from him!

YN emerge out from underground and punches Angor to the face. Enough to knock him back before YN stands in front of Jim.

YN: If there's one thing that you or even the previous Trollhunters don't have what Jim does, is the true strength of mankind!

Angor: (Laughs.) And what strength with that be fore a weak flesh like you?

YN takes a deep breath as he slowly made his stand. Not holding back with his fists.

YN: Come and find out.

Angor rot charges and leaps towards him as he has his dagger ready. But the moment YN blocked it with his arms, Angor realize that the creepers sun dagger doesn't work against YNs crystal armor as YN toss him over.

Angor rot retaliate and charge before punching YN to the face, but his crystal armor withstood the impact. They both traded punch and kicks to each other until Angor backs up before leaping for a punch. But YN dodges it and throws a powerful punch to his face and knees his chest.

Angors head is spinning from all the punches and right when he shakes it off, he realize YN is gone until he did a powerful blow from above.

YN catches his breath while waiting for Angor to move but nothing. He turn around to help Jim before Angor got back up with his creeper sun dagger ready. Jim saw it and runs.

Toby: Up here, rockhead!

Angor notice Toby appeared from above by the portal with his hammer.

This distraction gave Jim a chance to push YN away and shove the creepers sun dagger against Angors chest before the assassin turned into stone and crushed.

With it, all of the golems collapse and fell apart.

Vendel: Angor Rot is defeated! Trollmarket is protected once again!

Everyone cheer to their victory. Back in the forge the others manage to open the gate and joins the trio.

Claire: Jim!

The couples hug.

Claire: Is he really gone?

Jim: He better be.

Toby: Yeah. He better be.

YN: Villain or not, may he rest in peace.

Just then, glowing souls emerge out of Angors remains.

???: Finally.

???: Our souls are free.

???: We return to our brethren.

Claire: What- I mean, who are they?

Kanjigar: These are the spirits of our fallen brethren.

Kanjigar soul appears in front of them.

Kanjigar: Trollhunters who lost both soul and life to Angor Rot. Our brothers and sisters shall take their proper place in the void and rest in peace. Thanks to you, James Lake Junior, and your friends. You were right, you are stronger together. We are in your debt. But the day will come, Trollhunter, when you must finish the fight alone.

Draal: Father?

Draal reach his arm towards his father as he did the same.

Kanjigar: My son...I am so sorry for pushing you away...I am so proud of you.

With that, Kanjigar returns to the void. In the aftermath of the battle, the humans meet their fallen troll friend Aarg.

YN: Rest in peace, Aarg...

Toby sobs until Claire comforts him.

Claire: Toby, hold onto that anger. Save it for the Darklands.

Without saying anything, Jim leave and head to the killahead bridge.

Jim: In darkest tide, when Daylight darest wane the Myrddin Wylt obscured a shadow's bane. Three forces elemental thou must seek. In marshland, caverns deep and mountain's peak. Where worthy perish, ye'll prevail in night. And eclipse all who quarry with thy might.

Jim holds out the final piece of stone and place it in his amulet before its color changes to red as the incantation changed too.

Jim: For the doom of Gunmar, Eclipse is mine to command!

The amulet granted him a new armor where the color is red and black gold.

Jim rips off the amulet as if it splitted into two. Ones blue and the other is red.

Blinky: Master Jim!

Jim's runs and shuts the gate to stop his friends from entering.

Toby: Dude, what are you doing?

YN: Jim, open the door!

Claire: Jim, don't! Jim, no! You promised we'd go together!

Jim: The amulet chose me. I can't lose any more of you.

Blinky: Maybe I can manually override the lock.

Jim uses the original amulet to rebuild the killahead bridge and opens it.

Toby: Come on, Jimbo! We're a team! Don't do this!

Jim: I'm sorry. I have to finish the fight. Alone.

Just then, YN emerge out of the ground with his earthbender to stop his friend.

YN: Jim, stop! Think of what you're doing!

Jim: I did, ever since we chose to save Enrique and kill Gunmar.

YN: Then I'll go with you, we can find Enrique fast.-

Jim: No, I will not risk anyone lives for this. I have to do this alone.

YN: Jim...please don't do this.

Jim: As a friend, promise me that you will stay and protect our friends while I'm gone. They'll need your help.

YN: Jim....(Sigh.) Don't make me regret this.

Jim: I won't. The amulet chose me.

Jim walks towards the portal until YN speaks.

YN: Jim.

YN offers Jim a forearm shake and his friend accepted it.

YN: You better come back alive, Jim.

Jim: I will.

Blinky manage to open the lock and they saw Jim leaving.

Claire: Jim!

Jim: I'm sorry...

Claire: No! Jim!

Toby: Jim!

It was too late as Jim enters the darkland before the killahead closes.

Claire: No!

Blinky: Master Jim...what have you done?

Toby: (To YN.) What were you thinking!?

Claire: Why didn't you stop him!?

YN: ....

Claire: Tell us!

YN: (Snap.) Because we lost enough people! And we're not gonna lose more!

They look at him in shock to see him snap.

YN: I care for Jim, he is also my best friend. Don't ever think for a minute that I'll take this lightly. I'm sorry...but we can only afford lose one friend today...

YN leaves and shed a tear, regretting so much that he let his best friend go to the darkland solo. We now see Jim in the darkland and he draw his sword. Prepare for this upcoming battle on his own and for the sake of saving Enrique.

Jim: Get ready, Gunmar...
