Its only been a day since Morgana died and Arthur's guilt and regret stabbed to his heart. Since then, everyone's been resting for the night. But for Claire, she's been having nightmares about Jim facing the green knight and got injured, Morgana and Arthur fighting, and the worst part is where she's becoming Morgana because of the magic she possess. She immediately woke up in her medieval bedroom.

Claire: (Gasps.) It wasn't real. It wasn't real...!

The book from the desk then open on its own before revealing shadow magic to her.

Claire: Oh, no!

Time skip to sunrise

Arthur is sitting at his throne as he still feels guilt of his sisters death while Merlin tries to comfort him with a drink.

Merlin: Drink this, my lord. It will make you feel better.

Arthur just slaps it away. Not in a mood to drink it.

Arthur: Oh, sister...

Merlin: You must rally, Your Grace. The realm needs you. We all do.

The king hold up the broken Excalibur but only to end up having visions where he got his sister killed before he drops it.

Arthur: (Gasps.) My sword, shattered, like my kingdom. All is in ruins...

Merlin: I will repair Excalibur and perhaps mend our shattered hearts.

Merlin picks up the remaining sword and leaves the throne room before we see the future team are in Merlin's tower.

Douxie: Excalibur is busted and Morgana is...is...This never was supposed to happen.

Archie: You did what you thought was right.

Douxie: And look where that got us. History's absolutely botched. I've led us astray.

Claire: Morgana tried to help me save Jim, but all I saw was anger and darkness. We share the same magic. What does that say about me?

YN: That you're a witch.

Claire glares at the earthbender.

YN: Oh don't give me that look. I knew it since before Jim even found the amulet and it finally paid off. (Grin.) Jim and Toby definitely owes me 30 bucks.

Claire roll her eyes before she notice Steve is crying and she tries to comfort him.

Claire: Aw, Steve. It's okay to cry. It was a big loss.

Steve: (Sobs.) It's just, the other knights think I'm lame! They laughed at me. Said I hadn't proved my worth as a knight. And Galahad called me a weenie.

Claire: Ugh! That doesn't sound like a real problem, Steve.

YN: Let's just be glad Toby isn't here. I wouldn't imagine how disaster it would be if he was around.

Merlin barges in along with Hisirdoux who's carrying stuff for Merlin.

Merlin: Camelot is in chaos and Arthur is without his blessed weapon to defend it. Only ones who can defend are the earthbenders and they are having some doubt's about the king.

Claire: See? That's a real problem.

YN: Could be worst.

Claire: How!?

YN: Could be our home.

Steve: What's the big deal, anyway? Can't he just buy a new one?

Merlin: Without Excalibur, Arthur cannot lead Camelot to war against Gunmar.

Archie: Which would mean the end of humanity.

Douxie: And our future.

YN: I take that back, its worse.

Douxie: I'll never get us home.

Claire: And I'll never save Jim.

YN: Claire, if we're gonna save Jim, we'll have to save what's with us first.

Claire: But what if Jim is in danger.

YN: This isn't just about Jim, Claire. Its about the people we have to save. Besides, I trust Jim can manage.

Claire: Okay. So we can fix this. Right, Douxie?

Merlin: There's only one who can. Make ready. I must bring Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake.

Claire: She's real?

YN: Seriously?

Claire: What? I'm just curious.

YN: We've seen trolls and wizards are real along with creatures beyond our world. Now you're asking that she's real which you should've known it by now?

Claire: To be fair, I have to see it to believe it.

Douxie: So, this plan of yours...Well, surely you'll need help. Maybe Maybe we can fix this together.

Merlin: ...Agreed.

Douxie: I promise I can make it righ- Wait, we are? Oh, great! Well, we won't let you down.

Merlin: (To Hisirdoux.) You, mind the workshop. (To Douxie.) You, gather up Excalibur. We ride.

Steve: Sounds like a quest! Chance to prove I'm an awesome knight, get a monster trophy, save the damsel, I'm in!

Time skip

They all gather what they need and head out to meet the lady of the lake as theyre sailing into the cave.

Claire: Do you think Merlin's plan will work?

Douxie: I messed up the timelines. We've run out of options, and my choices haven't exactly worked out lately. We can't make any more mistakes. We'll have to trust Merlin this time.

YN: Last I trust him, it lead us to a disaster that we almost lost our lives. Twice. But like you said, we're out of option.

Claire: I just hope Jim made it out safe.

Douxie: I'm sure he's nestled safely in the bosom of friendly Trolls.

Steve: (Chuckles.) Bosom.

YN: For now, let's just focus on what's in front of us. Last thing we want is to have something in our way without realizing.

They sail deep to the cave as Claire checks Morgana's book about the shadow magic until Merlin uses his magic to shut the book.

Merlin: Ah, if you've learned anything from Morgana, it should be that shadow magic leads only to pain.

YN: That's funny coming from the one who plans to remake the Excalibur. Which lead to Morgana's death.

Archie: I try to avoid water.

Steve: Personally, I always pack my swimsuit. Extra-personally, it's actually my birthday suit.

They then notice the wrecked ships near.

Steve: Whoa, it's a ship graveyard.

Merlin: We've arrived.

Claire: Huh. The Lady of the Lake is real! I thought she was just a myth.

Douxie: Oh, no, the Lady's very much real. Though, only Merlin's allowed to meet with her till now.

Merlin: Because her power is beyond your comprehension. It was from her mystic waters I helped Arthur first retrieve Excalibur and unite the kingdom including the earthbenders.

YN: Hard to believe that part. But then again, protecting people is their only concern.

Soon they reach to solid ground where they meet two stone faces up ahead.

Merlin: Hisirdoux, the sword please.

Steve: Yeah! Quest, quest, quest, quest!

Merlin: Watch the ship. I shall return shortly.

Steve: What? We have to wait in the car?

Douxie: But I thought we were doing this together.

Merlin: You should be thanking me. I got you out of Camelot. Arthur's unstable and the people are afraid.

Douxie: I thought you trusted me. I won't just sit here without making things right!

Merlin: And I will not lose another apprentice!

Merlin shout echoes through the cave, making everyone stop for a moment before the wizard meet the stone faces bad it awakens.

Latch: Who dares to disturb my slumb-

Merlin: It's me, Merlin. Open up, you idiots.

Lock: Oh, it is you! All right, walk in.

They both open the gate and let Merlin in. Douxie runs to the entrance but the stone faces shut gateway.

Latch: Lake's closed!

Lock: None but the master wizard shall pass. No amateurs. That's you.

Douxie: Causa crepitoose!

He tries to use his magic to open the gate but to no effective.

Latch: (Chuckles.) Is that all you got, punk?

Lock: Come on, get close so I can bite your legs off!

YN: My turn!

YN tries to use his earthbending to open, but its the magic that's keeping him from using earthbending.

YN: Uh...its not working.

Latch: Haha! Your earthbending won't work against magic.

Lock: Rock brain.

Claire: Ugh! Merlin's magic is so annoying.

Douxie: The talking door is right. This sorcery's uncrackable.

Archie: Well, at least we don't have to see Steve's birthday suit.

Steve: Too late! Whoo! (Jumps in the lake.)

Lock: Oh, no! My eyes!

Latch: Oh, I can't unsee that now!

YN: Serves you right, rock heads.

Time skip

The team are still waiting for Merlin to return while they're making fire with Archie's help.

Douxie: Thanks, Archie.

Steve: Jeez, how long is Coach Wizard gonna take? It's been forever!

Archie: What if the old man needs our help?

YN: Honestly, he may be a powerful wizard but something tells me he can't hand this.

Steve has had enough and he charges at the stone faces with his sword. Only to end up being in their mouths and spit out.

Steve: Uh, Open Sesame! Abracadabra! I'm begging you, man! Hey, door dorks, open up!

Latch: (Scoffs.) Why don't you open up?

Steve: Maybe I will!...So, I'm- I'm really scared that I won't be a good knight.

Lock: Well, you won't be, but don't be scared about it.

Claire: (To YN.) Can't you just, I don't know, lava bend it open?

YN: And bring down the cave? One wrong move and that's bye bye. (Scoff.) No more than you can "magic" it open.

Douxie then realize it and gets an idea.

Douxie: Merlin doesn't know shadow magic. Claire! You could make a shadow portal and slip us right through!

Claire: (Hesitant.) I don't know, Douxie. I don't have my staff.

Douxie: I've seen you do magic without it.

Claire: But Merlin said-

Douxie: Merlin's not here.

Claire: I don't wanna become her!

The cave became silent until Claire sighs and sits down. Archie gave Douxie a little nudge to let him talk with Claire. And he did by sitting next to her by the fire.

Claire: What if the darkness takes over, like Morgana?

Douxie: Claire, look, I know you're scared, but you're not her. You can make the magic your own.

This comfort Claire before he speaks more.

Douxie: I never had the gift for shadowmancy, but you do. You can do great and wondrous things. I've seen it.

Claire: (Sighs.) Okay, Douxie, I'll try.

Claire: But I need you walk me through the spell book, Teach. I don't speak Wizard-ese.

Douxie: You want me to teach? I'm not even a good student.

Latch: You've got that right.

Lock: The worst!

Claire: Quit it!

Archie: Who asked you, knobhead?

YN: Okay that's it. I'm tossing lava at their face.

Latch: Please don't.

YN: Then shut up!

Steve: Why are we yelling?

Douxie: (Chuckles) Right.

They both get started by Douxie instructing her what to do to use her shadow magic.

Douxie: Put your hands out like this. Beyond there is your destination, your emotional anchor.

Claire: Got it.

Douxie: Then pull the magic around you. It will be your door to the Shadow Realm.

Claire does her best to concentrate on her magic which is started to get a glimpse of her magic.

Douxie: That's it, that's it. Steady.

Claire begins to hear Morgana's voice calling her name which almost made her lose control.

Douxie: Focus. Eyes on point, mind on anchor. You got this.

She begins to have vision of Jim dying and Morgana as well.

Claire: I'm scared.

Douxie: Magic is emotion. Don't let fear control you. Use it! Stay true to yourself. That will protect you from the shadows.

Claire: Uh, Doux?

Douxie: Don't be afraid, Claire. This is your magic. You can control it. Keep your eyes on point.

Claire keeps having visions of Jim and Morgana with her guilt and she loses control before the shadow portal takes her in the shadow realm.

Everyone: Claire!

Archie: Doux, how do we bring her back!?

Douxie: Hold on. I can figure this out. It's gonna be fine.

Steve: Fine? Shadows just ate her alive, man! What are we gonna do?

YN: Let her join the dark side...

Steve: Uh, what's with the cloak?

Claire POV

I fell in the shadow realm and I look around to see it actually worked.

Claire: Whoa! It actually worked! Kind of.

I look around and see Morgana resting in the shadow realm.

Claire: Morgana...I'm so sorry.

Soon I notice 3 different figures that I recognize them before we fell in the past.

Surrounding Morgana and disappeared before Morgana glances at me with pitch black eyes. Causing me to back away before I heard Douxie voice speaking to me.

Douxie: I know you're scared, but you're not her. Don't let fear control you. Stay, stay true to yourself.

Claire: Fear won't control me!

3rd POV

Claire courage allow her to return back to reality where she fell to the ground before the others check on her.

Archie: Are you hurt?

Douxie: Claire! Claire, are you all right?

YN: Give her some space.

Claire: I saw her- a vision of Morgana.

Steve: Oh, hot dang.

Claire: Was it really her? Or was it guilt, or fear, or-

Douxie: The Shadow Realm is a place of mystery. We understand if you don't want to go back in.

Claire: No, it's okay. I'll be all right. Thanks for talking me through it, Teach.

YN: All according to my plan...

Archie: What?

YN: What?

Claire stands up and prepares to make another shadow portal.

Latch: No way this works, witchy!

Lock: True. Not your fault your teacher's a dunce.

She takes a moment to breath and concentrated on her magic.

Claire: Let go of the fear.

She concentrate until a small shadow portal appear.

Latch: No, no, don't do that. Uh, no, no, no! Not good! Bad, bad idea!

Soon the portal begins to grow and open.

Douxie: Yes, yes, yes!

YN: Claire, you did it!

Claire: Yes! That's what I'm talking about! Shadow Magic!

Steve: Whoo-hoo!

Latch: Uh, it didn't work.

Douxie: Wow, she picked that up fast.

Archie: She had a stellar teacher.

Douxie: What are we standing 'round for? That magical sword won't repair itself. Let's go! To the Lady!

Claire: Gentlemen, after you.

Lock: Oh, this will be your doom!

Steve: See you later, door dork! Feels weird, like cold pudding.

They all jump through the portal, leaving the stone faces all alone.

Lock: That's cheating, fools!

Latch: Don't leave us alone.

Lock: Oh, shut up. You're not alone!

The team finally made it through the gate.

Claire. We made it!

Douxie: Thanks to you.

YN: What's with the smell in here?

Steve: (Sniff.) Urgh! This lake stinks like butt thunder!

Inside the cave is so dark where Douxie uses his magic to make light.

Douxie: I'd say we've arrived.

Claire: Yeah, but where's Merlin?

YN uses his seismic senses to find anyone.

YN: I...can't find him.

Soon a small boat arrives where theres a broken sword on it.

YN: This is definitely not a good sign.

Douxie: Uh, he can handle himself. Let's just stick to the plan and find the Lady. And everything will be fine.

They all hop on the and sail to the water until they've come across the lady of the lake who merge out of the water.

Claire: It's...it's her!

Nimue: I am the Lady, Nimue, Eldest of Oracles. Why do you seek me?

Douxie: (Whispers.) Okay, everyone, just be nice to the goddess. I'll sort this. (Clears throat.) Oh, mighty Lake Lady we are here to request your aid.

Archie: And we're missing an old wizard, if you've seen one.

Nimue: I can give you what you seek.

Douxie: Only you can help us on our quest to fix Excalibur and save Camelot.

Nimue: That is not which you truly desire. You seek redemption from a scorned mentor. (To Claire.) Escape from guilt. (To YN.) Seeking respite. (To Steve.) Validation of knighthood. (To Archie.) And you seek roasted salmon?

Archie: Guilty.

Douxie: What? Come on, Arch!

Nimue: You are not the first to try and deceive me. (Distorted voice.) You are not worthy!

Claire: Uh, guys

Steve: Uh, Mr. Magic Man?

They look and saw something beneath the water to soon reveal a large eye.

Douxie: That is no lady!

YN: Oh you think!?

Nimue: You seek, you take, and all receive their final reward.

Steve: Time to prove my knightly skills. I'll protect thou- thee. Uh, huzzah!

Before Steve would try to attack, a tentacle grabs him by the ankle and toss him in the monsters mouth.

Everyone: Steve!

Nimue: Now, onto your rewards.

Steve fell into the stomach of the monster and tries to get out.

Steve: Let me out! Let me out, man! The talking door was right! I'm not-- I'm not a knight! I'm just fish food!

Soon something grabbed him and Steve screams until he sees that its Merlin.

Steve: Oh, hey, Merl. Good to see you. What are you doing down here?

Merlin: I was negotiating! But if you're here, then...Hisirdoux!

Outside, they remaining team are stuck in the water which they don't have the advantage against the monster.

Nimue: Such puny creatures make tasty meals.

Archie: I hate to say it, but perhaps we should've stayed in the ship!

Archie uses his firebreathing to move the boat away from the monster.

Douxie: We need to subdue her so she'll fix Excalibur!

Claire: We need to get Steve out of this seaside freak show!

Soon the monster merge out of the water to reveal its true self.

Douxie: Oh, fuzz buckets.

Claire: Look out!

The monster roars and grabs a stone piece from the ceiling and throws it at them until YN caught it before it force him back.

YN: Okay, that does it!

YN uses his earthbending to throw the piece back to the monster where it hits its stomach. Forcing it to cough Merlin and Steve out of the monsters mouth where Steve caught its tooth.

Steve: Oh! Hey, I- I did it. I'm a hero.

Nimue: (Sadden.) My revenge tasted so sweet.

Douxie: Wait, revenge? What revenge?

Claire: You attacked us, lady!

Nimue: Long ago, I gave him the blade, but he imprisoned me here in this cave without hope.

Douxie: Wait, Merlin trapped you here?

Nimue: (Growls.) Now my prison will be your tomb!

Steve: Take her down, man, or we're all gonna get dead!

Archie: But who'll repair Excalibur, Douxie?

Claire: Well, she's not going to!

YN: Forget this. We'll figure this out on our own.

Claire: What do we do, Douxie?

Douxie is in his thought as he glances at the broken sword and he has had enough. He toss it up before casting a spell.

Douxie: Tenebris exilium!

He caught it and throws it away where the sword exploded and created an opening.

Steve: Wait, you let that tentacle lady bounce?

Archie: And destroyed Excalibur?

The monster glances at Douxie with a confused look until he speaks.

Douxie: What are you waiting for? Just go!

He sigh and turn away from the monster.

Douxie: I may not know how to fix this...(Sighs.l but I do know that you shouldn't be stuck in here.

Nimue: ...You are different. You are kind. This gift must be repaid.

The creature uses its power to remade the Excalibur for them.

Nimue: The sword was meant for those worthy. Do good with it.

Douxie: I shall return it to its rightful place. Thank you, Scary Monster Lake Lady.

With that, the monster leaves the cave.

Steve: Good-bye! Sorry I almost slayed you, Monster Lady!

Merlin coughing the water out and notice the monster is free.

Merlin: Hisirdoux, what have you done?- Uh oh. Is that Excalibur?

Douxie: Indeed. I've resecured Camelot's stability, just as you'd planned.

Merlin: Ah...We must return to Camelot, where we will discuss your blunders later.

Claire: Nice work, Teach.

Steve: And I got a monster trophy! Whoo! Quest!

YN: Glad that's over. Now let's get out of here.

They all leave the cave and head back home, finally regaining the sword for Camelot. But little did they know, there are still threat lingering into the shadows.
