YN POV

While I head down to the abyss to save Jim, others would be looking for Vendel to find answers. Whatever Jim is facing down there, I'll have to face it as well if it means to save my friend. Suddenly the chain stops lowering as I wasn't even close to the bottom, so I had no choice but to use the wall to climb down with my earthbender to the rest of the way until I finally reached the bottom. It was pitch black and I call out his name.

YN: Jim!

All I can hear was my echo until I suddenly heard a growl. Giving me no choice but to use my lava bending to see in the dark as I got my staff. Before I knew it, something strike me from behind as I turn but see nothing. Whatever it was, it kept striking my blind spots. It was like trying to hit a mist.

I shouldn't let my anger get the best of me, and so I take a deep breath and relax myself as I close my eyes. Allowing my seismic senses to show me everything.

Everything became slow as I kept taking a slowly breathing until I immediately swing my staff and successful hit something.

I take a close look to see what it was but it then disappeared into mist. At least it wasn't Jim.

YN: Jim!

Jim: YN?

I turn back and saw Jim holding his sword that's on firing with blue.

Jim: What are you doing here!?

YN: Came to rescue you. Duh.

Jim: You shouldn't be here!

YN: Well neither should you! Heck screw the tribunal.

Jim: Wait how did you survive here?

YN: Had to fight something in the dark. Don't know what it was.

Jim: You too?

YN: What do you mean?

Jim: Whatever it I fought, had the eclipse armor. But it's gone.

YN: Okay cool. Now let's get out of here.

Jim: Won't the tribunal learn that they find us?

YN: Forget the tribunal, Jim. We got a bigger problem the trolls aren't seeing. Now come on, its time to break some more rules!

I use earthbending to raise the platform like an elevator as we soon reach to the surface. But we had to climb up the rest of the way as we see Usurna is at the forge, giving everyone a speech about Vendels and the Trollhunter. But it was a lie.

YN: (Whispers.) That's lying troll...

Jim: (Whispers.) We have to find Vendel.

YN: (Whispers.) Agreed.

3rd POV

Meanwhile with the others, they found Vendels remains as they were all saddened.

Toby: First Jim, now this.

Claire: No, YN will come back with Jim.

Toby: But how do we know if they'll be back?

Blinky: Why did you leave us? It was not your time.

Soon Blinky notice a glowing stone on vendels remains to which he realize what it is.

Blinky: (Gasps.) You crafty old goat.

Toby: What?

Claire: What is it?

Blinky: He was holding an Anamnesis stone.

Blinky grabs the stone and placed them together as it glows.

Blinky: What did you want to show us?

The stone then shows them a hologram of Vendel and Usurna.

Usurna: There are only two agents of Gunmar the Changeling and the Changeling's master.

Vendel: How do you know this?

Usurna: Because I'm the master!

Usurna assassinated Vendel as he slowly turns into stone where it made everyone shock.

Blinky: Vendel!

Usurna: I'm sorry, Vendel. I was hoping you'd live long enough to see Gunmar's glorious return.

Blinky: He used his last moments to warn us.

???: She took control of Trollmarket.

When the recording end, they were all gasp to see both of their friends alive.

Blinky: Master Jim.

Jim: Queen Usurna said I'm responsible.

Toby: Wow...Jimbo, you're alive! You're not a ghost!

Blinky: We saw you fall to your doom before YN went to look for you.

Claire: How did you two survive the Deep? No troll's ever come back.

YN: Well that's a thing about us. We're not trolls.

Jim notice Vendels remains and he mourns the death of Vendel.

Jim: I'm sorry...This is my fault.

YN: This isn't your fault, Jim.

Blinky: He is right, Master Jim. Vendel believed in you. He knew you'd return to make things right.

Aarg: Usurna liar, traitor. Crush Queen now!

Blinky: No, we can't take her on now. She's too heavily protected.

Jom: Blink's right. There are too many of them.

Claire: If she's working for Gunmar, what's to stop him from taking Trollmarket?

YN: Us. Gunmar thinks the Trollhunter is dead, this can be the element of surprise.

Blinky: Taking on Gunmar himself? Oh, what a day.

YN: You have a better idea? The longer we wait, the closer Gunmar gets.

Blinky: Where would we find him?

Toby: (Realize.) The Janus Order. They were getting all ready for his return.

Jim: Okay, then we better move before we lose Trollmarket for good. This time, I'm not stupid enough to go alone. We're stronger together. Come on.

Time skip

They made it to the Janus Order base as they're in the elevator while Aarg is whistling before Claire sniffs Aarg breath.

Claire: Ugh! Aarg!

Aarg: (Chuckles.) Breakfast burrito.

YN: Think you might need some mints after this.

Claire: Boxes of mints.

Soon they made it to the base and charge until they find it in a huge wrecked.

Claire: Oh, no. What is this?

Toby: Maybe it's a Changeling Halloween party? I really hope it's a Halloween party.

YN: Oh yeah, and there's definitely a mountain of candies waiting for us at the end of the hall.

Toby: (Excited.) Really?

YN: No.

Just then, they heard a familiar voice from a distance.

Jim: Strickler?

YN stomp his feet and send out a seismic sense to detect anyone but nothing.

YN: Nobody's here. Not detecting any from my range.

Jim: At least we know there isn't any guards.

Toby: then how come we hear Strickler? (Gasp.) Could he be a ghost?

YN: Doubt it. Could be something else.

They follow the voice which lead to a large room where they see a film with Strickler on the screen talking about their reign of Gunmar.

Strickler: Our time is nearly at hand. When Gunmar returns, we will be his army. As our brothers and sisters consolidate power around the world, remember, this isn't just about Gunmar. This is about something bigger. And, oh, we have the Skullcrusher's heir right here.

Out of nowhere, Gunmar was right behind them and they all spread out as Gunmar attacks Jim first before grabbing him.

Gunmar: You are trembling.

Blinky: Master Jim!

Blinky throws another rock bomb and Gunmar notice it before throwing Jim away and dodged it before it exploded. Soon Gunmar now faces everyone.

Toby: Oh, my gosh. This is happening!

Claire: Yeah, so fight!

Gunmar: I will add your bones to my pile.

Blinky: Pile this! Now die!

Blinky throws more rock explosion at Gunmar, knocking him back before he charges at them until Aarg went toe to toe against him. Soon Gunmar knock Aarg back before Toby starts throwing chairs at Gunmar while YN did the same with large stones. Gunmar then charges at them until YN created a puddle of lava to trap him before cooling it. Giving Jim the opportunity to finish him with one blow across his chest.

YN: Its over.-

Suddenly, Gunmar then turns into one of the changeling.

Jim: What the?

Blinky: This isn't Gunmar. It's-

Changeling: (Gunmar voice and laughs.)

Jim: Gunmar's possessing him! Where are you? Why won't you fight me!?

Gunmar: I already have what I want.

Gunmar laughs until the changeling was about to explode until YN contained by creating a dome of earth before it collapse after the explosion.

YN: If Gunmar wasn't here, then where is he?

Jim: (Gasps.) Trollmarket. We never should've left!

YN: Claire, we need a shortcut!

Meanwhile at the trollmarket, Gunmar is already in the trollmarket and he is now building a new army where Usurna and krubera have pledge their loyalty while the rest were being possess into gumm-gumms. Dictatious, who blind by his brother, easily got captured by his brother, Blinky. And was chained up in Blinkys library.

Blinky: Aha! How do you like it?

Dictatious: I don't.

Blinky: Not so pleasant, playing the part of a piñata.

Jim: That's more like it.

Dictatious: (Gasps.) The Trollhunter.
You're alive?

Jim: Yep.

Blinky: But you won't be for long if you don't start talking.

Dictatious: Oh, Blinkous. Gunmar has the Heartstone. Once he regains his strength, nothing will rival his power. This is futile, brother.

Blinky: The only troll I would call my brother died today, and his name was Vendel!

Blinky spins Dictatious while still hanging on the chain as he gets dizzy.

Dictatious: Make it stop.

Jim: Whatever you're planning, let the trolls go. This is between Gunmar and me.

Dictatious: Don't you see, boy? Gunmar's army was lost in the Darklands. It's time for our race to emerge from the shadows and retake the surface!-

Toby then shuts him up by shoving the book in Dictatious mouth and plug his ears with socks.

Toby: That's enough of that.

Claire: He's turning Trollmarket into his army?

Blinky: Indeed. His forces grow with every troll he converts. We need to save our friends.

Toby: What's gonna happen to Trollmarket? What's gonna happen to our town?

Jim: We save as many as we can. We evacuate Trollmarket.

Toby: Yeah, but how do we just get them outta here?

Claire: With this.

Claire gold out her staff, but Blinky protested.

Blinky: Claire, that is a weapon of Dark Magic. To manifest a portal that large for that duration, why, it will-

Aarg: Kill you.

Blinky: Or worse, corrupt your soul.

Claire: I don't care. I have to try.

YN: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Aren't you even listening to yourself?

Jim: You're not risking your life.

Claire: Jim, you risked everything to save my brother because it was right. Now it's my turn.

YN: No, there has to be another way. A better one.

Toby: Wait. We could use the Gyre.

Blinky: Tobias is right. Claire, Tobias, man the Gyre station. I'll operate it and get everyone to safety. The rest of you have some trolls to liberate.

Everybody split up and try to save as many trolls as possible where we see Jim saved a group of troll along with NotEnrique.

NotEnrique: You're alive. Long live the Trollhunter!

Jim: Get all the trolls to the Gyre!

NotEnrique: I'll do my part.

Some do the gumm-gumms are carrying the trolls until their lower body were sunk down into the ground and they couldn't move as the trolls see it was YN who used his earthbending.

YN: Head to the gyre. We're evacuating the trollmarket!

The trolls freed themselves and runs off to the gyre.

Toby: This way to the Gyre. Move!

Claire: Go, get on board.

Jim: Take them to the forest. It's secluded and safe. And take this.

Jim tosses the phone to Blinky so that they may stay in touch.

Blinky: Keep them coming. With only one Gyre, it will take many a trip. Buckle up.

Blinky drives off with the gyre with a handful of trolls. But when they arrive to the forest by the exit of the sewers, the sunlight was blocking their path to enter the forest.

Blinky: Great grumbly gruesome.

Blinky call Jim who immediately answers it while he and YN are guiding the other trolls to the gyre.

Blinky: [We have developed a small problem.]

Just then, YN spotted a possess Draal coming.

YN: Jim, we gotta hide!

Jim: (To Blinky.)I'll call you back. (Hangs the phone.) Hide.

They all hide before Jim calls back.

Blinky: [Master Jim, there's 30 yards of sunlight we cannot traverse. We have to wait until nightfall.]

Jim: If we wait, they'll find us. I'll send help. You just keep that Gyre moving.

Jim hangs up and starts dialing a another call.

YN: You're not calling who I think your calling?

Jim: You got a better idea?

YN: (Sigh.) Let's just get this over with.

Steve: [Well, well, well, if it isn't Lake. Are you calling to tell me what a loser you are?]

Jim: If you know what I think you know, then I need your help.

Steve: [With what, buttsnack?]

Jim: You know what.

Steve: [Huh. Maybe I don't know what you're talking about.]

YN snatches the phone from Jim before talking to Steve.

YN: Steve, nows not the good time for all of us. You were in the school. Jim was in in armor and you saw me controlling earth. So if you're gonna keep pretending, then I swear to god I will burry you alive. But you're our best chance to help save all of us.

Steve: [...I'm listening.]

YN hands the phone back to Jim.

Jim: They need your help.

Steve: What do they need?

Jim: Shade. I don't know. Blankets, sheets, banners, whatever you can find. They'll die if they're in the sun.

Just then, YN notice Draal is blocking their path and isn't moving while looking for any other trolls. Having no choice but to take a huge risk.

YN: Get the trolls out, I'll draw Draal away.

Jim: Wait, what? No! Draal will kill you or worst.

YN: I know, but you and the others will make it out.

Jim: But-

YN: This isn't a time for talk, get them out of here!

YN runs off and calls Draal to get the troll attention.

YN: Hey Draal! Remember me?

Draal saw and roars at YN before charges at YN who runs off to draw the troll away as Draal rolls towards him.

YN: That's right, I'm right here.

He summons his staff made a powerful swing at Draal like a baseball bat.

YN: Come on, are you even trying?

Draal then leaps on YN who dodges him. YN went for a swing from above for a powerful strike, but suddenly Draal caught it.

YN: Ah pebbles...

Draal punches YN who accidentally let go of the staff. He gets back up and notice Draal has it and he suddenly breaks the staff in two. Forcing him to gasp.

YN: No...

The possess troll grins and rolls towards him. YN was froze to see his weapon destroyed but he snap back to reality and dodges it. Draal kept rolling around with enough speed towards the human.

YN: Draal, if you can hear me. This isn't personal.

He armored himself with his crystal bending before he stood his ground to hold Draal rolling until he puts a strong grip to force the troll to stop. Once the troll stop rolling, YN lifts him up with all he's got and throws Draal straight to the wall. Knocking him out before YN went to grab his broken weapon.

YN: I'm so sorry, mom...

Not having time to mourn, he took the weapons and runs to the gyre and realize that the trolls are piling up the gyre room.

YN: What's going on?

Jim: YN, you're alive! What happened to Draal.

Toby then answered before YN as he sees Draal.

Toby: Oh, no! Guys, it's Draal!

They see Draal on a house roof and leaps towards them until YN uses his earthbending to create a pillar to knock Draal away.

YN: Run!

They both got in the gyre before sealing the gate. But it was not enough as Draal is trying to break in.

Blinky: Aarg, seal the door!

Aarg uses the crystal key to create a cross to block the door.

Aarg: Sealed!

YN: It won't be enough!

Jim: What about the others? There's still more to save.

Toby: Jim, who's gonna save us?

YN: I'm sorry, Jim. But its too late for them.

He uses earthbending to reinforce the door.

Blinky: We must keep the Gyre moving.

Claire: Let's go. Get on board!

The gyre was about to leave but it was suddenly blocked by a metal gate.

Blinky: They sealed the exits.

YN: I've had enough!

Enraged, YN uses his barehands to punch and rip the metal off to open enough for the gyre.

YN: Go!

Blinky nods and left off with a handful of trolls one last time while the gumm-gumms are still breaking in.

YN: It's only a matter of time before they break through and enslave us all.

Claire: We can't fight off an army, Jim.

Toby: We're sitting ducks.

Aarg: Dead ducks.

YN: Once the wall falls, don't hold back!

The door kept crushing and Claire had no choice as she knew the gyre won't be able to return fast. She then runs towards the gyre stairs to get a high ground as Jim notice her.

Jim: Wait, Claire, what are you doing?

Claire: There's another way.

YN: Blinky said you can't make a portal that big.

Toby: It'll kill you.

Claire: If we do nothing, we're all dead! You would do the same. You did do the same.

Jim: I wasn't thinking. There's gotta be another way.

Aarg: Guys, wall breaking.

NotEnrique: Don't do this, kid.

Claire: You saved my brother. Let me save you!

Claire holds out her staff.

Claire: Tell my parents I love 'em...

Claire then focus everything she got to create a portal as the staff darken itself. Releasing everything she got as it causes a purple tornado mist.

Jim: Claire!

Claire kept struggling as the staff is beginning to hurt her and traces of darkness are on her hands and eyes.

Jim: It's killing her!

YN: We gotta help her!

Jim: Claire! You're not doing this alone!

Jim joins Claire and helps her with the staff.

Toby: Third wheel coming in!

YN: Oh what the heck, least I'm not gonna die alone.

Aarg: Right here.

One by one they join Claire to help her even NotEnrique joins in.

NotEnrique: Count me in, sis!

Together, they all created a powerful portal as it opens.

NotEnrique: Holy shish kebabs!

With it, they teleported everyone away from the trollmarket before the gumm-gumms break in. Now everybody is in the forest as it became nightfall and the troll are cheering for their escape. All thanks to Claire. But Jim notice Aarg is holding her.

Jim: Claire!

Claire: (Coughs) Did we die?

Jim: Let me check.

Jim punches YN but his hand hurt since YN is covered in crystal armor.

Jim: Definitely alive.

Aarg: Almost.

Toby: (Kaughs.) But a life of "almost" is a life of never. We made it!

Eli: Yeah! Whoo-hoo!

Eli and Steve arrive with their Creepslayerz clothes which is just a helmet, black t-shirts, and some nice warpaint.

Jim: Thanks, guys. I owe ya.

Steve: Yeah, you owe us, big time.

Eli: Maybe you can start by answering a few thousand questions.

Jim: We'll talk, later.

Eli: Yes!

YN then faces Steve and they both exchange glance until YN offers Steve a handshake which he accepted it.

YN: Thanks.

Blinky: (Sigh.) Our home is gone. Vendel is dead. Who will lead us now?

Jim then holds Vendel wooden staff and offers it to Blinky.

Blinky: His staff?

Jim: Your staff.

Blinky: (Surprise.) Master Jim.

Blinky was hesitant until he notice the trolls are in a agreement for let him lead before Aarg spoke to him.

Aarg: Don't make it weird.

Blinky then accepts the staff as he now has the burden to lead the trolls.

Toby: What now, Blink?

Blinky: We survived another day. But these forests are not secure. We will wait until midnight and seek safe haven.

YN: I can get started on building a new underground for the trolls but it'll take time.

Jim: How long?

YN: I don't know.

Blinky: Then its best to start soon. Gunmar will not give up. And he'll have an army. But tonight, we must rest.

Everybody agrees and the humans head back to their home where YN is coming over for the night since his uncle is gone for a while.

Jim: Did your uncle told you when will he be back?

YN: I don't know. He just said hold the fort until he's back.

Jim: Well, we could really use some help for our troll problem.

YN: You don't gotta tell me.

Jim: I'm sorry about your staff.

YN: (Sigh.)...Every outcome leads to unknown in the battle. I mean its still useful. But at this point I'm not sure it'll be enough.

Jim: We'll figure something out.

Soon they arrive Jim house as they entered.

Jim: Hey, Mom, I'm home.

YN: Same here, Mrs Barbara.

They didn't hear any response from Barbara.

Jim: Hello?

They head to the kitchen which they unexpectedly saw Strickler having cup of tea by the counter.

Strickler: Ah, Young Atlas and earthbender.

Jim&YN: Strickler?

Strickler: I hear you have quite the workload ahead of you. Perhaps the 3 of us can offer some guidance.

Jim: Three?

Soon UN and Nomura arrive as UN sat by the counter.

(UN sitting by the counter where chair is at.)

YN: Uncle?

UN: Its a long story. Short one, I went to look for those two after finding out about Gunmar.

Jim: But why?

Strickler: As I mentioned, we can offer some guidance.

Jim and YN exchange looks and both agreed. For they'll need all the help they could get. But little did they know, they weren't the only ones getting help. For Claire's staff did something far dangerous within its dark magic...

First of all, I would like to apologize to make book 2 short. It was a bit complicated than I thought.

The main reason of the announcement is that I want to give you guys a heads up for book 3. This isn't just gonna be Trollhunter, some of the chapters will be part of 3below show as a cross where YN would be part of. Not to worry, I've already got it all plan out for the next book.
