People noticed things, it's all they did. They'd notice a bruise on his cheek and remember no fight happenings recently. They'd ask, and Sebastian would lie and say that he ran into a door. Friends would notice how tense and almost fearful the boy looked around their male teachers, especially ones that were as old as his father. They didn't ask, figuring it was just Sebastian being nervous about class.

He always thought he was a bad liar, that everyone could see that he was lying. But no one did, or everyone was too polite to push it. Somedays he wished some one pushed it. Maybe things would get better, maybe things would change.
