A final farewell
"Isn't it weird that I'm here? I always thought I'd die before you. After all, I sorta throw myself into danger a lot. Um, anyway.
Let's just ignore the fact that I'm talking to a fückin' gravestone. It'll make me feel less crazy.
Boss...it was fun. I mean, as fun as this sort of business can be.
See, I could cuss you out right now and just walk away. But that doesn't feel right.
Besides, I already did that. No need to do it again.
I'm not being dramatic when I say you saved my life. I was alone to the point of insanity, and then you found me and...well, the rest is history.
You drove me fücking mad. In a good and bad way.
Oddly enough, the best moment of my life was when you called me a moron. You sounded so...happy to hear my silly suggestion for a saying. Perhaps you meant to call me that, or maybe it was a joke on my last name. Either way...
It made my day, because it was you saying that to me.
Um...anyway.
I could stand here and say cheesy things that you'd gag if you heard me say, but I'll spare your gravestone from hearing that.
I hope you knew how much this would break me. I hope you took that into consideration in your plot.
You probably didn't. After all, I'm just the man behind the gun. Your tiger who follows your orders with no questions asked.
Hope you don't mind that I've bought a new place, and that I've got a new job.
Don't worry, my loyalty lies with you still. I work as a bloody cashier at a damn supermarket.
Oh how the mighty fall, eh?
...I can't leave you forever without saying this. You probably knew anyway, but I don't care.
I loved you. Every part of you. No matter what you did or said, I'd love you.
But you're dead now. So I should move on, right?
Well fück you. I can't move on from you in this aspect. You're probably laughing in the afterlife as I say that.
I don't care. I loved you, I lost you, and I continued loving you.
But this is the final goodbye. I'm not visiting you for a while after this.
Maybe on your birthday, or when I've got some things under control.
I miss you. But I can't do anything about it. I wouldn't want to anyway, you're probably peacefully resting. That stupid smirk on your face as you do so.
So...goodbye."
Sebastian stood and rested his fingertips on cool stone before turning away. He started walking away from the graveyard.
He said all he wanted to say, for now. He knew he'd come back, probably to bring up some old arguement with a better point than he had given at the time. Though, that could end in tears, since the banter was over.
Or so it seemed.
