Change of ingredients

(First one of course is Horrortale. Most might be)

"Go ahead, human! Try some spaghetti! You could use some meat on your bones!" Aliza wearly studied the plate held in front of her, glancing upwards to sneering face of the tall skeleton. She couldn't help but stagger back an inch as her gaze was met with the grotesque and withering teeth that jutted at all angles from his mouth, red streaked and splattered at the end of each unkempt tooth, all at least as long as her hand.

"Don't be scared! It's just me, Papyrus!" Aliza would have taken another step back if she didn't feel the cold sensation of another monster staring at the back of her neck, causing goosebumps to crawl across her skin. The glare was obvious even without looking, chilling her further despite the fact that she stood in a snowy environment with only a tattered dress.

"Eat some spaghetti, kid. Don't want you dying. Yet." Sans deep, gurgled voice floated across the ground from where he stood leaning against a tree, his eyes sockets narrowed in the human girl's direction.

Her mind screamed at her to protest, to run away from the skeleton duo and seek a place to hide, maybe back to Toriel. She didn't want to die.

"Don't worry, human! Just try it!" Papyrus chipped in, bringing the plate closer to Aliza, who felt frozen in place. After a few moments of ragged heartbeats against her ribs, she reached forward tentatively, taking the fork offered to her.

She wrinkled her nose at the sight of the rusted metal, the prongs chipping away in flakes of rustic brown, one of them fallen off completely. Swallowing the apprehension and fear, she raised her chin to look down at the pasta again, eventually deeming it harmless.

Papyrus smiled behind the rows of teeth and nodded enthusiastically, encouraging the small human. Sans watched in silence as Aliza stuck the fork into the saucy mess, twining the noodles into a small bunch and bringing it to her mouth.

She closed her eyes tightly, her lips trembling as she took the bite, chewing slowly as her face scrunched by instinct, pushing down her gag reflex. A bitter taste spread across her tongue, hints of salt and copper mixed with it, almost making her spit it out.

She knew Sans would hurt her if she upset Papyrus, so she swallowed, shuddering as the chewed noodles slid down her throat like slime. She opened one eye in fear of seeing a bone flying towards her face from a mistake or slip up.

She was only greeted by the ever beaming Papyrus.

"DO YOU LIKE IT, HUMAN?!" He asked loudly, his voice echoing off the dark tree trunks and branches that surrounded them, disturbing a pile of snow that had collected on the bristles of an evergreen. Aliza opened her other eye and blinked a few times, still trying to comprehend the fact that she was still alive.

"Uh.." Papyrus straightened so fast that Aliza yelped, falling back into the snow as her body jolted in surprise. She gasped at the sudden impact of cold on her lower back and behind, the icy flakes already melting against the fabric of her dress, soaking anything in contact with it.

"I'LL TAKE THAT AS A YES! SANS, THE HUMAN LIKES ME SPAGHETTI!" Papyrus laughed in excitement, bouncing on his feet as Sans chuckled darkly, half of his face cast in shadow, patches of lights through the branches above him outlined the shattered gap in the side of his skull, the sharp edges of broken bones seemed to be painted red.

"That's great, Pap." Sans responded, his torn slippers crunching across the snow as he shuffled over lazily, the fabric of his jacket swished on itself as he moved. Aliza began to shake as he came closer, shrinking in front of him as his shadow loomed over her frail body.

"DO YOU THINK IT WAS THE NEW INGREDIENT I USED?!" Papyrus questioned, bending down again so his skull was level to Sans', effectively blocking the view of the gray sky, not that it would have made Aliza feel any better.

"Probably. Only problem is, we're pretty short on it." Sans grinned, a sinister smile that shook the last grasp of sanity from the human's mind. Aliza sank further against the ground.

"IT HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE WE'VE CAUGHT A HUMAN." Papyrus mentioned, the shred of kindness he had possessed evaporated under Aliza's terrified stare. She didn't even have the time to suck in a breath to scream when her soul appeared and a bone sliced through it, the knobbly end where it met to make a joint dripped blood, a flash of warmth before it became consumed by the chill.

"Guess I don't have to go grocery shopping after all. Fresh is better, anyways." Aliza's vision went black as her soul split, leaving her motionless body to thud against the snow, no longer bothering her as the skeleton duo smiled at their new, dead, companion.

"WE'RE SO GLAD YOU COULD COME FOR DINNER, HUMAN!"
