Once everything had settled down again, Ungaikyō and Momiji found themselves once again at the big maple tree. After the tournament Momiji would come by with the kaleidoscope and look at his surroundings with it while talking the Ungaikyō. But by now he had stopped bringing it. Though he did still have the kaleidoscope, it was a memory of how he met the half yokai so many years ago.

"Remember when you said my hands are tiny like maple leaves?"

"Huh?..Yeah but that was years ago when you were a child. Your hands aren't tiny anymore..." Ungaikyō replied, grabbing Momiji's hand. "See?"

Momiji chuckled, "I know that. I can't stay small forever remember? Though I guess yokais stay young for a couple hundred years. At least that's what Onibi told me"

"I wouldn't know, I'm just a half yokai. Besides I was already older when I became a half yokai" the mirror yokai said, climbing up the maple tree to sit on the branch he always sat on. He signaled for Momiji to join him, to which he began climbing up to the branch as well.

He leaned against the older boy, it was strange how yokais could look so young but actually be much older than they appeared. The wonders of having a very long life span. 

"Do you know how long you've been alive Tadaakira?"

"Hmm...several decades? I don't really pay attention to my age anymore..I just know it's been a really really long time since my family died and I became a half yokai due to Ungaikyō"

"Well you and all the other yokais all look youthful still, so you have that going for you"

"Yeah..so Fuuka, any ideas yet about how you plan on staying with me?...I really don't want to lose you again that's just bothersome to get you to remember all over again.."

"No, not yet, sorry. I'm sure we'll find some way to. We've got plenty of time still" he smiled as Ungaikyō hugged him from behind.

"Yeah.."

Both wondered if the others would try finding a way to stay with their yokai significant others. They all had a yokai who they loved. Uta had actually gotten together with Karasutengu, though he still did try avoiding him due to their normal habit. But they got along more often now. Maybe they could come up with a plan together.

Would Hanabusa allow it though? Although he didn't doubt Hanabusa would secretly want to find a way to stay with Mizuchi. They were all madly in love after all. So obviously they'd want to stay with the ones they love. 

"Fuuka..you're lost in thought again...pay attention" Ungaikyō pouted.

"Sorry, so what do you want to do now that everything has calmed down again? Oh right, I asked Commander Hanabusa if it's alright if I stay the night with you again. He said it was fine as long as I report back to the station in the morning" 

"Yaaay, Fuuka's staying over again" the half yokai cheered. It was kind of childish but he didn't care. He was just happy he'd have Momiji with him for the night again. Maybe once they found a way to stay together they'd be sleeping in each others arms more often.

"You're excited aren't you?" Momiji couldn't help but chuckle again. "I could stay with you more often if you'd like. But you can also just stay with me in the station. I have a mirror in my room so you can use it to come and go"

"I know, I just don't want to show up out of nowhere though..just call for me and I'll show up then" 

"I'll keep that in mind"

For a while they continued to just talk about ways they could stay together and what they could do that day. Momiji had also told Ungaikyō about how some of the others were doing. After the incident with the three humans, Onibi and Kamaitachi had snuck into the human world. Figuring it was a good chance to sneak by while the Katanashu dealt with those humans.

Hanabusa had mentioned that Mizuchi would be coming by the station after the situation was dealt with to spend time together. Which was why Mizuchi had took off not long after Momiji had shown up to the ramen stand. Uta decided to just go eat some ramen while waiting for Karasutengu.

As for Kasane, Madoka and Aoi, they were waiting for Onibi and Kamaitachi to return from their little trip. Aoi mainly wanted to lecture them about continuing to sneak into the human world. Not that they'd listen, they did as they pleased.

After a bit more of talking they had climbed down from the branch and began walking through the forest, holding hands. It was like a mini date for them, simple but they didn't mind. Much better than making a whole elaborate plan to sneak Ungaikyō into the human world for a date. 

"So should we head to your home Ungaikyō? It's still about early evening but since neither of us have any ideas what else to do, we may as well"

"Yeah, since you probably still don't know the way yet, just stay close to me and I'll show you the way"

The Katanashu smiled and gripped Ungaikyō's hand a little tighter. He didn't mind letting him lead him, even though he did remember the way. And so they made their way back to Ungaikyō's home to spend the rest of the day just relaxing. Being a Katanashu really was an easy job where they didn't have to do much. So it let them have plenty of time for such calm and relaxing days.
