Previously on 'Tale As Old As 1996'

James was looking at the supposedly empty barrels that were left behind. He thought that he could puzzle out what was in them not knowing time powder previously resides in the barrels and worked on prying the lid open. Meanwhile, Lily found the shower in the lab which was used in case a dangerous reaction occurred and needed to be washed off. Lily underestimated the water pressure of the shower and quite a bit of the floor was covered in water. Teddy groaned and stood up to dry the floor using his wand but before he could do that James had managed to open the barrel's lid but he had tugged too hard and the barrel which was seemingly not empty and was one of the barrel's that was not taken to be tested, was filled with time powder. In seemingly slow motion, the time powder fell on the wet ground, the powder proceeded to react aggressively and in a few seconds there was a large boom, a flash of light, and the 8 people in that room were gone as if they were never there.

After a flash of light, the children were dropped into a dark, and dusty room. They were all tangled within each other. Since this was not the first time this unfortunate circumstance had occurred, the next generation of kids groaned internally and focused on freeing themselves. They were so focused on getting free they didn't think to pay attention to their surroundings or the fact that they were causing a ruckus in a potentially dangerous environment.

The Order of The Phoenix were having a report meeting. Currently, Dumbledore was explaining a rough draft of his plan to send Remus Lupin underground to gather intel from the werewolves as Voldemort could recruit them at any point. As Dumbledore was giving his speech the members heard a loud thud from upstairs. Being the trained wizards they were, all of them immediately grabbed their wands and went one by one up the stairs ready to deal with death eaters. However, to their utmost surprise, all they saw were 8 young wizards and witches yelling at each other to get off them

"James, I swear to go if you punch my face one more time so help me" Lily cried

"Rose!! That's my foot" complained Teddy

"Oh for the love of, Lucy get off of me" Roxanne screamed

The adults all watched in shock as the kids tried to untangle themselves. After a couple of minutes, Teddy being the first one to detangle himself from the hoard of kids noticed that there were adults in the room and he immediately took his wand out while standing in front of the kids in a defensive position and telling them "guys be quiet, we have company"

His soft yet stern voice immediately quieted his cousins and while Teddy held his wand in a defensive position, his family made quick work of getting free and joining him.

Suddenly, Lily's eyes lit up from realization and she whispered something into Teddy's ear which he listened to intently, and then nodded. He waved his family behind him to put down their wands. While they were all reluctant, all of them obeyed Teddy and put their wands back where they originally were. Teddy looked at all the adults who had gotten over their initial shock and were ready to fight and calmly stated "Do not hurt us please, I am not sure how much I can reveal but we know some people here"

"Oh, yea?" How do we know your not death eaters in disguise?" Sirius sneered

Teddy was at loss for words since he was unsure about how much he could reveal without changing the timeline.

Fortunately, Dumbledore stepped forwards and said "There is an easy way to check that, while I am not fully convinced, I believe from what these children look like that I have an idea of what happened. We can also, by all means, test them by Veritaserum. Before that, however, I must insist you tell us where you come from, just so an old man's speculations can be proven right or wrong."

Teddy took a deep breath and said "We are from the future"

Dumbledore just nodded and stated that he was going to go and fetch some Veritaserum while the adults looked like someone murdered their dogs.

All the kids felt frightened. Each of their eyes glew with recognition as they each saw their respective parents. While all of them wanted to do nothing more than just run up to them and have their parents comfort them, they knew it was impossible and they would just end up being attacked.

To diffuse the situation a bit, Teddy stepped up and asked "If you don't mind, we would all like a room where we can discuss what has transpired here and I believe I need to calm my family down. You have Dumbledores belief that we are not spies and as you see here some of my siblings and cousins here are shaken up"

Sirius and some of the other Order members were reluctant but all their protests were waved away by Mrs. Weasley stating that if they stayed right outside the door in a room with no windows, they couldn't possibly do anything. Teddy smiled at her thankfully and he and the rest of his family were led to another room.

Once inside Teddy immediately cast a 'Muffliato' spell and told everyone to gather around

"First of all guys, I just wanted to tell you that no one says anything about anything unless I say so ok? We don't know how us telling them anything will affect our timeline" Teddy sternly said

After getting a chorus of "ok's" Teddy continued "Second of all, I don't want any of you to worry, we will find a way to get out of here. In the meantime, think of it as connecting with the people we couldn't otherwise."

After a few more minutes of offering comforting advice to everyone, Teddy stepped outside with his cousins after a knock sounded on their door. All the Order members as well as Harry, Hermione, and the Weasley kids who had been filled in on what had happened were settled on couches watching them intently and Dumbledore was right outside their door with a bottle of Veritaserum.

"If you wouldn't mind please find a seat on the couch and we shall get started" Dumbledore stated with his eyes twinkling.

Once they were all seated Dumbledore said "In order to be more efficient, I shall ask the oldest some vague questions just to make sure you aren't spies for the peace of everyone else's minds" He then offered a small dropper to Teddy which he accepted and put two drops in his mouth

"Are you really from the future?" Dumbledore asked and Teddy nodded

"Are you spies?" Dumbledore inquired and Teddy shook his head

"Do you or any of the others mean to harm us in any way?" Dumbledore asked and Teddy shook his head once again

Satisfied with the answers Dumbledore removed the effects of Veritaserum. Teddy looked around and realized that many of the Order members had relaxed slightly after hearing that.

"Very well then, You have all said that you are from the future, I suspect that it will be ok for you to reveal information that you believe can change the timeline as I will personally make sure to wipe all of our memories before you leave" Dumbledore declared

Teddy looked at his cousins and nodded, signaling that it was ok for them to give out information

"Very well, I will start, My name is Teddy..."

Current A/n: Ya'll literally gave me 10 votes in less than 12 hours... I then proceeded to rush edit this chapter so....yea. You're not getting the next chap till friday tho I need to edit... so pls excuse a crappy chap this early as I was not expecting the goal to be reached this early..
