Harry: Why does it sound like your upto something

Me: umm... im not?

Harry: Sure, you know I'm kinda tired of constantly being tortured in your stories

Me: Thats enough of you mister, these people are here to read the story not listen to us bickering

It was a quiet morning in the Potter residence, or that is what would be hoped for. The Potter family was known to be chaotic and this morning was no different with the next generation of Potter's being late as per usual.

"James, hurry up"  his father impatiently called for the 5th time in the span of 5 minutes. Harry Potter groaned internally at his family's continuous habit to be late. He ran his hand through his messy hair and glanced at his watch yet again.

"Coming" yelled 14-year-old James as he quickly puts on his jacket and runs down the stairs. While running he planned numerous excuses in his head to not get lectured once again on the importance of being on time. His thoughts were interrupted by his mother, Ginny Weasley, who called out  "James, no running down the stairs" in a no-nonsense tone while simultaneously braiding her 11-year-old daughter's hair in the living room.

"There you go Lily, all done," Ginny told her tying the hair tie in Lily's hair. Lily then stood and smoothed out her dress and went to the bathroom underneath the stairs to check her reflection in the mirror. Once pleased she put on her coat and joined her eldest brother who was now getting his shoes from the cupboard.

"James, can you hand me my black sneakers? They should be right under your grey converse." Lily asked after waiting for James to finally find his shoes and give her the opportunity to do so.

"Bugger off, I'm trying to find my sneakers too Lily. Believe it or not, I do not like to spend my precious time under the shoe cupboard trying to find my shoes while Dad's ready to rip us a new one." James answered making sure to convey how annoyed he felt through his tone.

Lily rolled her eyes and was done with her brother's antics "Move aside" she said as she shoved James. Before James could protest or go back to shove his sister in return, Lily pulled out both her and her brother's shoes and gracefully tosses Jame's shoes nearly hitting him on the head.

"Next time, maybe try using your eyes, you idiot" Lily remarked with a sly grin

"Whatever, we really need to get to the door, I wouldn't be surprised if dad crucio's us at

this point"

Lily nodded and in under a minute both siblings were in the foyer with their dad.

13-year-old Albus was already at the door with his father trying and failing to hide his smug expression as Harry threw an exasperated look at his youngest and eldest children.

"You know what, it's not even worth it at this point. Let's go Albus" Harry simply said as he went to go grab his keys

"You know Al, last time I checked, the middle child is supposed to be the one that is ignored," James whispered to his brother

"Guess miracles do exist" came as an answer.

Just then Ginny entered the foyer to bid her children farewell.

"Now listen to me, if you misbehave in any way you will answer to me" was stated with a fierce look in Ginny's eyes

Cheeky remarks were forgotten as the children all nervously looked at each other while chorusing "yes mum" knowing that Ginny Weasley was a person to not only obey but fear.

"Ok let's head out now," Harry said as he entered the room, twirling his car keys around his finger

"I still don't understand why you won't floo to work or apparate" Ginny while saying goodbye to her family.

"The kids like the car, plus apparating with all of them is risky and we are out of floo powder, I'm going to get some before I come home" Harry replied with a grin

Ginny just smiled at her husband and waved to him as he left with their kids. After seeing them off Ginny got ready to finish her own work. She needed to submit the final draft for the article she was going to publish in the 'Daily Prophet' to her boss. She relished in the momentary peace she had while she typed up the last few sentences in her article and sent them.

Meanwhile, Harry and the kids were having the time of their lives in the car, singing songs, and dancing to the radio.

"Listen up kids," Harry said turning down the volume of the radio which was currently playing 'The Other Side' from 'The Greatest Showman, "Ron is bringing Rose, and Hugo, Most of your uncles are coming as well with their kids. There are going to be a lot of you there. Do not misbehave. This 'bring your kids to work day'" Harry said as he air quoted the last 6 words "is supposed to be an educational experience"

James looked at his siblings and smirked. They had heard this speech so many times over the past week that they could recite it word for word.

"Dad, don't worry. I will be sure to keep my dear siblings out of trouble" Albus answered while throwing an evil smirk at his siblings.

"While I wish James was the one making that statement. I will take what I can get" Harry answered knowing it would get a reaction out of his eldest child. His point was proven true when James gawked and began to make a speech which was drowned out by the sound of the song as Harry turned up the volume again.

The next few minutes passed quickly and soon enough the car ride was over and they were at the guest entrance of the Ministry of Magic

Harry quickly punched in the number 62442. He was so relieved that the ministry decided to make the telephone box bigger so all of them could fit in it.

After stating his, and his children's name and state of business, he helped them put on their badges and ushered them into his office.

"Ok kids, I have to get some work done down at courtroom 7. Please stay here and behave. Hermione should be here soon with Rose and Hugo. Then she as well will join me down at courtroom 7. I would really appreciate it if you all could be on your best behavior. Teddy is also supposed to come. He is in charge, I don't want to hear any complaints on how it wasn't your fault Lily ended up on the ceiling again "

After hearing a bunch of 'ok dad's, 'sure's, and 'it was only that ONE time". Harry left for courtroom 7 praying he wouldn't come back to a wrecked office.

10 minutes later Hermione brought in Rose and Hugo and disappeared after a quick hello and another lecture on responsible behavior.

After the next generation Weasley's and the Potter's conversed for a little bit, Teddy came into the office.

After greeting him Rose asked, "Hey Ted, don't you have to work today?"

"I can always spare a few hours to babysit my precious cousins and siblings Rosie" Teddy joked

"Don't call me Rosie" Rose said as her cheeks turned red from embarrassment.

After a while, Percy also left his daughter Lucy entrusting her into Teddy's care. Roxanne Weasley also joined the party as well as Louis Weasley who Bill sent since Louis wanted to go with the rest of his cousins. All the Potter/ Weasleys caught up with each other while waiting for their parents to come and take them to the numerous activities planned for that day.

After a while, Teddy got bored and said "There is still going to be a bit of time until your parents are free. Do you want to come with me and I'll give you a tour of the new laboratories we have here?"

He was met with enthusiastic yes's and one "How do our parents entrust us into his care?" courtesy of Lucy. He chuckled and led them into one of the labs. He made sure to make all of them wear the necessary safety equipment before letting them enter as he did not have a death wish.

"Ok folk, so today our scientists are experimenting with 'time power' aka what was used in time turners. They want to be able to use it so they can go back only several years so for now." Teddy said using an announcer's voice. The children were all fascinated by everything and listened intently. He explained how time powder was highly reactive and how if it made contact with someone, it would teleport them into a random time period.

"Our main goal is to use it for research purposes mainly. If the powder ever comes to a stage where it is used regularly, it will probably be to just gather facts and not change anything." Teddy explained

After a while of showing them around, Teddy lowered his voice and said "Ok, I'm technically not allowed to do this, but there is an empty lab with no experiments happening. You guys want to check it out?"

He was once again met with enthusiastic yes's.

Teddy then snuck them all into the empty lab which was not too far from the lab they were already in. The lab in mention was used to store time powder but was cleared out a few days ago to run tests. Teddy sat down on the chair as the children began to explore the lab without worries as he knew of the fact.

James was looking at the supposedly empty barrels that were left behind. He thought that he could puzzle out what was in them not knowing time powder previously resides in the barrels and worked on prying the lid open. Meanwhile, Lily found the shower in the lab which was used in case a dangerous reaction occurred and needed to be washed off. Lily underestimated the water pressure of the shower and quite a bit of the floor was covered in water.  Teddy groaned and stood up to dry the floor using his wand but before he could do that James had managed to open the barrel's lid but he had tugged too hard and the barrel which was seemingly not empty and was one of the barrel's that was not taken to be tested, was filled with time powder. In seemingly slow motion, the time powder fell on the wet ground, the powder proceeded to react aggressively and in a few seconds there was a large boom, a flash of light, and the 8 people in that room were gone as if they were never there.

a/n: so... how'd I do? I mean its been a while since I wrote a fanfic soooo.... Lmaooo yup im back with my cliffhangerssss yassss. I actually have 20 chaps done currently, they just need to be edited. I wrote this one months and months ago but I felt bad that I promised this fic so long ago and never got to it. Hopefully consistent posting will help me with that... umm yea until next week!
