That's a good one, I was hoping someone would ask that :) well, once I had completely joined the fandom and began writing and reading, I realized that there were a bunch of highschool AUs. And me, just loving highschool AUs in general, tried to read them. Most of them had Lukesse, which I didn't mind (obvi). But unfortunately, most of these didn't come to my liking. Lots of them had very weird grammar, at times that I could barely read, and some very cheesy/cliche/rushed plots. For example, Jesse is the shy girl, the nerd, while Lukas is either the popular one or such. Jesse gets bullied. Lukas comes to her rescue. They fall in love, etc. etc. Not that I hated that, I actually found a good fanfic similar to this a long time ago and loved it.

But I couldn't find a highschool AU that didn't just focus on love. I wanted something that I could read, with unpredictable events in the story, good plot/grammar, and yes, romance, but to a level that didn't swallow up the whole story and didn't rush. Don't get me wrong, there are probably stories like this I haven't read yet.

And so, inspired by this, I decided to make my own. And I was like, hey, why don't I add some twists? I made Jesse the 'bad' guy and Lukas the 'good' guy, switching their roles. I tried to make their personalities and the plot as interesting, engaging, and complex as possible. There's still a hell of a long way to go, but I can guarantee there'll be some twists, with a touch of Lukesse fluff :))) kay...maybe a bit more than a touch.

The relationship between them will develop though, and that's what I'm honestly excited for. I don't want to stuff everything in a few chapters.

Welllllllll after I played MCSM I realized I had a very strong addiction to it, like I seriously couldn't stop talking or thinking about it (aka symptoms of fangirling). I kept on getting this idea of making stories based on it, and decided to look up fanart, which eventually lead to stories. This was years ago, but I had no idea that Wattpad of Fanfiction.net even existed. It was my first time being exposed to that kind of stuff. The first fanfiction I read was a Lukesse fanfic where Maya was jealous of Jesse and tried to murder her, I think. It was actually pretty good, it had a good plot and proper grammar. That's when I got inspiration to start my own.

I began writing my own story, which some of you may know as Regret. I wanted to write about Lukesse because, well, I preferred it. It made me happy, so that's what I did.

That's kind of a hard one. Hmmmmmmmm...if I had to choose, my next fandom would be Danganronpa, it's a game/anime centered around hope, despair, and murder. It's cool, would highly recommend if you're interested in that kind of stuff. (BNHA comes right after tho)

What can I say, it's cute! I can definitely see how people ship them, they've had a handful of moments together in the actual story mode. Personally, I don't ship it, only on certain occasions when people write fanfics about them. Idk why, maybe that's just how I felt when I played the game.

I really dislike all the hate going towards this ship however. There are a lot of toxic people in this fandom that trash on this ship just because it interferes with Lukesse/Jetra/Jesskas/Jesstra. Just leave it be, it's as valid as any other ship. Luktra and other ships are respected here :)

Do you have an Instagram account?

Yes, I do, but unfortunately it's personal and my parents kinda monitor it constantly lol. If I gave it out to the public then you all would see my face, and I don't want that hahaha. Maybe I could make one just for this account in the future, but that's only if you guys want me to :3

What advice would you give to smaller writers?

Well, for starters, make sure you have a good/not rushed/complex plot and proper grammar/punctuation. What I mean is, make sure you have most your story planned out so you're able to write more easily in the future. It's fine to have a few loopholes now and then, but yeah. Also make sure you have proper grammar, punctuation, and tense. Readers will leave if the story is not readable, or had too many misspelled words. Make sure you stay in the tense you're in. For example, if you're in present tense (i.e. "I walk to the store and smile gently) don't switch to past tense (i.e. "I walked to the store and smiled gently).

Have faith in yourself, don't give up on your ideas! Don't be swayed by other people, write what you want to write. Do what makes you happy. And also, make sure to respect others in your writing <3

No, I'm kidding. It's Petra, if my username and my fangirling wasn't enough XDDD

She's just so badass and I love her character so much. She has different sides to her personality, tough, brave, but caring too and vulnerable at times. I love her complexity and everything (also, Ashley Johnson!!!!)

Honestly, I think my choice is the same as other writers, my favorite character to torture is Jesse. Cause he/she is the main character, and there are just soooo many ways to torture them. Especially with the inspirations of Reuben's death and all the adventures. Lukas and Petra would come as a close second though.

Well, I guess I'll tell you guys about the one I'm working on right now. It's not 'exactly' based on the romantic relationship between Lukas and Jesse, more about their friendship, but whatever. It's called "Written In," and I plan on updating/officially starting it in October of at the end of this month.

It's about Lukas, but instead of Jesse, he is the one pressured and buried in guilt and fear. He experiences mega PTSD from the portal adventures, so he decides to go back to the portals to face his fears. He doesn't tell Jesse about any of this though, thinking he's only burdening her. She finds out he's missing, and goes to find him. Meanwhile, Lukas meets with all the people from their adventures, and gets advice on how to overcome his fear. In the end, Jesse and Lukas learn how to trust each other and strengthen their bond in friendship.
