GUESS WHO'S BACK WITH A CRAPPY CHAPTER

*dabs*

Yeah, you guessed it. I'm back from my break, and Writers' Block has left me for this story...for now.

I missed this story, and you readers ;) I've got most of the main ideas planned out for the next couple of chapters and I'm in the middle of writing them.

Anyways, enjoy ^u^ don't mind the crappiness

*A few weeks later*

It was going okay at first, actually really good. And then things started to get complicated.

I've been hanging out with Jesse and Petra (hard to believe, I know right?) and Gil. Not at the same time, of course. That's suicide.

I've been hanging out with Gil during lunch and at the "recess" we get between our first two periods. And I've been hanging out with Jesse and Petra in the mornings, since Gil was often late, and after school.

I haven't told Gil about them, but I've told them about Gil. Ugh, I don't know, this whole thing is a mess, and I've done nothing but go along with it.

So as I was saying, everything was going along fine. I was getting to know Petra and Jesse better, and hanging out with Gil as well. But then the day came when Gil was absent, and I hung out with the girls during lunch.

What I didn't know was that people get and spread information quickly.

It was a usual Thursday, nothing exciting there. Since Gil was absent, we agreed to sit together at lunch. No big deal, right? Wrong. Jesse's the most popular person here. And her hanging out with me? The newest and probably biggest nerd? Word goes around.

"Okay, but the cafeteria's chicken nuggets are actually pretty good." Petra noted, right before popping a light brown nugget into her mouth with a flick of her wrist. Jesse just grinned and rolled her eyes next to her.

"Whatever you say, but everything here tastes like shit." She replied, poking the dry bread wrapped in foil on her paper bowl with a plastic spork. Then she placed an elbow on the table and propped her chin on the back of her hand, bored. Jesse's got a bit of a potty mouth, if you haven't noticed already.

"It's not that bad," I said, shrugging, remembering when I had bought their food when I forgot mine. "But I usually pack my own lunch, so I wouldn't know that well."

"Oh Booke," Jesse said, a glint in her eyes. "You've still got a lot to learn."

I chuckled nervously before taking a bite out of my peanut butter sandwich. Plain, but still good.

"Hey Jess, you mind helping me on-" Petra stopped talking, eyes growing wide a bit before swallowing her food, and then shaking her head in dismissal. "Nevermind."

Jesse gave a slight nod of satisfaction before returning back to her phone, which she had pulled out and started scrolling through.

"What's this? Never knew the popular girls had a thing for nerds." An all-too familiar voice exclaimed slyly. I bit back a groan as Aiden approached the table. This time surprisingly, he was alone.

"Never knew someone like you could learn to get a life." Jesse retorted, not even sparing him a glance, continuing to stare at her phone.

Aiden stifled slightly, and then shook his head and laughed.

"Still the same, I see. But I have to ask, why are you hanging out with him anyway? Homework? How much are you paying him? Threatening maybe-?"

Jesse stood up abruptly from her seat, with so much force the table scraped across the floor, making the drinks ripple. And just like that, the entire student body fell silent. She turned off her phone with a click of a button and put it in her pocket. Then she walked over to Aiden and smiled bitterly.

"Hey, why don't you shut your mouth, and get lost?" She asked, which was more of a demand. I watched Petra hold back a snicker. She was probably used to this.

"Aww, but I have something to give you." Aiden pouted, revealing something wrapped in foil in his hand. He quickly unwrapped the foil and showed it to her.

Inside revealed a small sandwich, with little meat pieces inside. He grinned and pushed it towards her, leaning in and whispering, but loud enough for me and Petra to her;

"I got this for you, It's pulled pork-"

Jesse's face twisted into a scowl right as the words left his mouth, filled bright with anger as she pushed him with a forceful shove, making him fall on his back on the floor.

Petra's amused expression turned serious as she stood up to help her friend. A jolt of shock tingled through my veins as I was forced still.

"Get up, I dare you." She threatened, as Aiden stayed still on the floor, evidently scared. He didn't show it, but the wavering smile on his face proved my point.

"Jesse are you-"

"I'll be right back." Jesse told me and Petra as she moved past her, in a hurry. She clutched her stomach with one of her arms as she furiously made her way through the crowd.

"Well?!" She exclaimed harshly, eyeing the student body watching. "What are you looking at?!"

Everyone immediately began to talk amongst themselves, turning back to their own business. Many of them whispered to one another, probably talking about the incident.

I myself, was still trying to comprehend the situation. Unknowing to myself, I was already packing up my unfinished lunch and packing it in my backpack, slinging it over my shoulder.

"Where's-"

"Girls' Restroom." Petra finished for me. "I need to take care of some...business."

With that last word she gestured over to Aiden, who was barely getting up from the floor, dusting off his clothes. He was only allowed a second before Petra grabbed him forcibly by the collar and began dragging him off to who knows where, sputtering curses under both of their breaths.

I let out a shaky breath before running, a chill of everyone's eyes on me, towards the Girls' Restroom.
