[Chapter 66]

I looked at my uncle, confused.
Gabs spared a glance between the both of us, before finally nodding.

"I get it now. Your family were mafiosos! It explains why you're so wanted dear, you should feel special." Gabs chuckled, as my uncle glared at her.

"Quiet, girl, until we find a use for you." He seethed, as I frowned.

"Please don't be so mean to my friend, Uncle, she's the reason I've survived this. People have actually tried to kill me, y'know?" I lied, glancing at Gabs.

A smile played on her lips, before she sighed.

"She's right sir, me and Kara have been very useful to your precious Y/N." Gabs acknowledged.

My uncle scoffed. "Kara? As in Min Kara? Shove that ideology up your ass, she's about as handy as her parents were, and we all know how that turned out."

"Did you have something to do with that?" I asked, gulping slightly as Gabs listened in.

If my family were responsible for Kara's parents - she would probably never speak to me again.

He shrugged. "I can't answer that. Now, are we going to visit the ones who made this mission possible for you, or do you want to stay in here?"

I glanced at Gabs, as she nodded. "I'll be okay here. Well, of course I'd prefer to come along, but..." she trailed, as my uncle laughed.

"Oh no, you're staying here. Sorry." He said, walking behind me to free my ankles, but keeping my hands tied.

"It's a precaution, love. I don't know whether they've trained you, or whatever's been happening. Come on, let's go meet them."

Everyone was preparing, talking strategies and plans among their groups, as Kara just sat against the back wall, her stomach aching.
She was assuming it had been stitched up, and all the people who were medics, to her knowledge, were quite good, so she doubted it would tear.

She would be fine, but Gabs might not be.

She also wanted to kill the sick son of a bitch who wanted her dead, because really? She didn't even know who they were.

Bang Chan came over and sat in front of her.

"Are you okay?"

Kara smiled. "I'm fine, thank you."

"Are you going to come?" This time it was Namjoon who asked, as Kara looked up at him.

"Depends, you know, how I'm feeling, or where we're going. Are you sure all the locations are actual leads or are we running on a hunch?" Kara asked, as Namjoon frowned.

"Kara, do you know anything."

She shook her head. "No, I just want to make sure you're not wasting any time finding my friend."

He just hummed a response, walking off.

Bang Chan stayed seated there.

"Kara, after this is all over, am I able to talk to you?" He asked.
He looked nervous, Kara noted.

She shrugged.
"Sure, okay. I don't know where I'll be standing by tomorrow though." Kara replied, glancing around the room.

"Well, I hope you come back to us, because once the mission is over, there's no reason to stay with Jimin anymore." Bang Chan whispered the last part, standing up.

Kara couldn't look him in the eye.

What if she liked Jimin? She couldn't just leave.

Dawn was coming, as Kara watched everyone leave in groups.

Jimin hung around behind, enveloping Kara in a hug.

"Thank you for staying here Kara. I'll be back." He said, smiling as he gave her a kiss.

Kara kissed him back, smiling sadly.
"Don't do anything stupid, and don't let anyone on our side die. I mean that."

He chuckled. "You've got my word Kara. I love you."

"I love you too, Jimin."

My uncle was dragging me through multiple hallways, as I struggled to remember where I had come from.
My wrists hurt, the friction causing them to bleed.
All the walls were the same, all grey and dull.

"Is it Minji they're after?"

My uncle paused, turning himself to face me.

"Sadly, yes. I'm sure you could understand why."

I just looked at my feet. "Right, she clearly remembers everything I don't."

He ruffled my hair, like I was still a child - I suppose I was to him, saying I hadn't seen him in over ten years, so his sudden appearance in Korea was quite a shock.

"You're wanted as well, so don't be upset by it. But just know, she, well, you, are one hell of an asset." He laughed, turning back around and continuing to walk, his hand gripping around my wrist.

As we reached a door, he knocked, a muffled 'come in' signalling our entrance.

I felt my heart drop as he opened the door, and I was met with the face of someone I never thought I would see again, as they smiled right at me, arms open.

"Y/N, oh how I've missed you! The struggles to get you back here with us was insane!"

I felt tears well in my eyes - I'm not usually so emotional, as I rubbed my eyes, walking forward myself, and into their arms.

"Dad, I've missed you."

Kara waited for everyone to be gone before she went and grabbed a gun for herself, and plenty of ammo.
She ignored the aching in her stomach - it hadn't hit anything fatal, and she was still standing, so she didn't understand everyone's worry.

She then went out to her car, well, Yoongi's car, and drove it to a completely different location than any of the boys had mentioned.

That's where Gabs and Y/N's trackers were blaring.

She parked a fair distance away, running towards the large warehouse, as she stayed low.

There was little to no defence surrounding the building, which was instantly a signal to her something was here.
They wouldn't want it to be obvious that they were keeping something so precious trapped here, would they?

"Location A is clear." Namjoon sighed into the radio, looking around the empty warehouse. They had checked every room, and there was no one.

"So is Location B." Soobin replied.

"...and so is C." Bang Chan's voice rumbled through, as all groups were stumped.

Jimin stood at the window, feeling his phone vibrate.

Kara has left the location (home)
Kara is 6.7 miles away

"Kara's on the move. Boss, I know where they are, and Kara knew, but she didn't wish to enlighten us." Jimin grumbled, feeling his lips twitch in irritation.

If he didn't love her, he would kill her for being so ignorant.

Gabs was glancing around the room at the one window, trying to figure out how to stand up without falling face first.

Then she heard a crash, as she glanced up, seeing someone come crashing through the window.

"Calm down." Gabs chuckled, as she saw Kara brush herself off, smiling.

"Calm? Me? Never. Come on, let's get you untied." Kara said, her breathing hitching as she held her stomach, struggling to regain her balance.

Gabs frowned. "You alright?"

Kara nodded. "Cramps. I haven't jumped through a window in awhile."

She pulled a knife from her boot, slicing at the ropes as Gabs rubbed at her wrists.
Kara passed her the blade, glancing around.

"They don't have any security on you. That's rather sad." She commented, helping Gabs to stand.

"Y/N's uncle took her. So I'm assuming the boss of the mission are her parents. It would make sense, don't you agree? Some twisted family movie where the dad does anything to get his daughter back, including force a bunch of opposing groups to fight for her to start a war and regain power after years in the dark, no? It was a perfect plan, he wanted to divide the underworld." Gabs scowled, as Kara frowned.

"I hate how much sense that made. Let's go rescue our friend, or at least see what's happening. Come on." Kara said, taking them out the door as she glanced to the floor, seeing a trail of blood.

"Usually I wouldn't say that's a good sign, but it's a sign, right?" Gabs asked, looking at the floor in disgust.

"I would say it's our trail."

The 4 groups arrived at the warehouse, Namjoon and Bang Chan glancing at one another.

"Are you sure this is where it picked the signal up, Jimin?" Namjoon asked, noticing the lack of security.

Jimin nodded. "I'm positive."

The shower of bullets within the next few seconds confirmed this theory, as they hid behind a nearby building, looking at their attackers.

They were outnumbered, and cornered.

"Let's give this our best bet, yeah?" Bang Chan said, as his team nodded.

"I agree. Let's go." Namjoon commanded, and the fight begun.
