"Now that introductions are out of the way, who's going first?" Gabs clapped, looking around at the seven boys and me.

"I'll go. I have the best singing voice, clearly, as well as the best looks." Jisung boasted, standing up.

He walked over and selected a song, before the music began playing.

Jisung smirked at Gabs and me, before he began singing.

His voice wasn't bad, he actually had quite a nice singing voice.
He just seemed a bit stiff-

"Ooh woah~" he finished, bowing. "Thank you, thank you, I know, I'm so amazing." He boasted, sitting down next to Gabs once more, handing the microphone to Minho.

"Do I have to..?" He groaned, standing up.

"Yes, if you want to sleep in your bed tonight." Seungmin said, smirking.

"Urgh, fine." He grumbled, walking away and choosing a song.

As the music began playing, I peaked my ears in interest.

"Gabs! I love this song!!" I exclaimed, jumping in my seat.

"So does Minho, clearly." Gabs sighed.

Minho looked me in the eyes, smirking as he noticed my excitement.

"Don't get too excited, I'm not that good at singing." Minho said, rolling his eyes as he began to sing.

"He ain't half bad." I said, turning to Jeongin.

"Most of us aren't too bad, but being an idol is too much work." Jeongin shrugged.

"What a pity. You have the looks and the talent." I spoke back, humming along to the song.

"I'm not sure about that." Jeongin blushed.

"I'm being honest! You do!!" I smiled.

"Thanks.." Jeongin spoke, the blush turning his face as red as a tomato.

I sang along with Minho, eventually picking up a second microphone to join him.

The song finished up, Minho placing his microphone down. "You might as well do your own song if you're up here. Great singing voice by the way." Minho smiled slightly, sitting back down.

I thought for a second, before running over and playing my song.

"Oooo, good choice y/n!" Gabs smiled, clapping her hands together.

I only sounded good singing with Minho.

Gabs flinched at my voice, before walking up and grabbing a microphone too, harmonising her own voice with mine.

(Yeah) areumdaweo maria~" We finished. I placed down the microphone, looking over at Gabs.

"You're a lot better than I thought." I complimented.

"Just because I'm short and tiny doesn't mean I don't have a lot to hide." She smiled, before choosing her own song.

I sat down between Minho and Jeongin as the song started.

"What's this song..? I've never heard it.." I asked Minho.

"Ah, some song by TOP. An old member from BIGBANG. I don't really know the song either." He shrugged.

"Long time no see, Long time no see~" Gabs begun, ushering Jisung over to sing with her.

He rolled his eyes before grabbing the second microphone, singing along with her in perfect harmony.

DOOM DA DA DIVI DA DA DOOM Ye" They sung. I watched in awe at their harmony, and how close those two seemed.

It was lovely to see them interacting and having fun.

"I ship them." I whispered to Jeongin.

"They're not dating. They're just friends. Trust me, those two do not seem like the type for romantic relationships." Jeongin answered back, his voice seeming unsure.

"You a hundred percent sure?"

"Yup.." Jeongin answered, voice trailing off in uncertainty.

I shrugged, and paid my attention elsewhere.
As I looked around the room and saw Hyunjin on his phone.

I stood up and sat next to him, taking the unlocked phone from his hands.

"Hey! I was using that!" He whined, trying to take it back from me. I hid it behind my back.

"You're going next. We didn't come here for you to look at- photos of a dog?" I said, pulling his phone from behind me.

His camera roll was filled with photos of him and a small black, white and brown dog.

"That's Kkami, my beautiful baby~" he answered.

"He is quite cute.." I answered honestly.

He took his phone back, scrolling through photos and explaining the stories behind a few of them while Gabs and Han finished up their song.

"Oi, Hyunjin, stop showing y/n photos of Kkami and come sing something." Gabs said, rolling her eyes.

"But Kkami is just perfect!" He said dramatically, holding a hand to his chest.

"Yeah, yeah. Go on, sing." Jisung said, pulling Hyunjin up and pushing him towards the performance area.

Hyunjin sighed, before choosing a song.

"It's the love shot~" He sung, winking in my direction, before doing the dance while singing.

Minho got up and joined him, dancing along side his friend.

Jisung joined in too, dancing in perfect sync with the other two boys.

Bang Chan stood up and joined, as well as Seungmin and Jeongin.

Changbin eventually joined the others.

"Might as well join in too." Gabs sighed, standing up.

"IT'S THE LOVE SHOT~" They all yelled, laughing at how out of tune the eight were.

I joined in, picking up the dance quite quickly.

It's the love shot~" I finished off, everyone chuckling as the song finished.

"We should be a full on Kpop group, damn!" I laughed, sitting back down.

"Hell no, that was exhausting, I got way too hot!" Gabs complained.

"You're wearing knee high boots and long sleeved clothing! What did you expect?!" Bang Chan exclaimed, walking over to choose his own song.

Hyunjin came and sat next to me.

"You can dance??" He asked.

"Uh, kind of I suppose." I shrugged.

"That was good. We should do that more often, it was fun." He smiled.

"Yeah, I agree."

The music for Bang Chan's song began playing. It was a slowish song, not a song I'd ever heard before.

"What songs this?" I asked Changbin.

"Dunno, probably an English song." He sighed.

"What do you mean by that..?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

"Bang Chan's from Australia, like Felix, Gabs and Kara." Hyunjin answered.

"Oh, really? That's cool." I said, swinging my legs back and forth as Bang Chan began singing.

Gabs picked up the second microphone and joined in, since I guess English is her first language.

I hummed along to the beat, tapping my feet in rhythm.

When the song was over Bang Chan looked around the room.

"Jeongin, your turn."

"What- no- uh- I can't sing.." He stuttered as Seungmin helped push him onto the performing area.

"Yes you can!!" Jisung exclaimed.

Jeongin chose his song, and began singing.

I was in awe of his voice.
It was perfect.

"I know right!? I've told these boys to audition but they never listen!" Gabs exclaimed, huffing seemingly annoyed.

Changbin got up and sang his song.

That man can rap. Like damn.

Really, they felt like performers. It was amazing.
I'm so glad I came.

Gabs' phone rang for the second time this evening. She dismissed herself and stepped outside the karaoke booth.

"Felix? How's she doing?" Gabs asked, the pain in her heart telling her that it was unlikely anything had changed.

"Still the same. At least she's not getting worse. All we can do is wait.." Felix answered, his voice sounding drained and upset.

"Hey, Felix, make sure you're eating and resting. Take care of yourself. You know how much Kara would scold you if she knew how much you're mistreating yourself." Gabs said gently, telling from the tone of his tired voice he wasn't taking care of himself.

"Yeah, okay.." He said tiredly.

"Alright. Call me if anything changes, and of course call me in another hour." Gabs said, returning to her normal stern and confident attitude.

"Of course. Bye."

Then the phone line went flat.

Gabs walked back into the booth and sat down.

"Still the same?" Jisung asked.

Gabs nodded.

Finally it was Seungmins turn, and as soon as the music started playing I knew the song.

"Just Right? Interesting choice.." I spoke under my breath.

Like the others, his vocals were perfect, his voice in tune and perfect for the song.

"I swear to god if y'all don't become idols." I huffed.

"Nah, too much effort." Minho whined.

Seungmin finished singing, and we all sang some more songs and messed around.

Laughs and conversations filled the small booth as I got to know this crazy friend group.

The were so nice, and so much more genuine than Jungkook and that were.

Or, like I heard Jungkook and Jeongin say on that day.

Stray Kids were more genuine than BTS.

Whatever that means anyway.

We finished up our session, all walking out to the cars.

"I call shotgun!" I yelled.

"No fair!!" Jisung whined.

"You got to ride in the front when we came! Give y/n a turn!" Seungmin rolled his eyes.

"Fine!" Jisung groaned, squashing into the back of the car with Seungmin and Jeongin.

We drove down the streets, Bang Chan and the others car following close behind.

We arrived at a barbecue place, hopping out and wandering inside.

"I'll have some Dwaeji Bulgogi" (A/N Spicy Korean Grilled Pork) You ordered, sitting down between Bang Chan and Hyunjin, Gabs seated in front of you.

"This evening has been lovely, thank you for inviting me." You smiled.

"Hey, you've been fun to have around too y'know." Seungmin smiled.

"Agreed. We should hang out more!" Jeongin grinned.

The food arrived, and we all dug in, talking and laughing as we ate.

It was the most fun I had had in awhile.

The heart monitor continued to function normally.

Beep. Beep.

Felix sat tiredly on the chair beside Kara's bed, his head in his hands.

The usual ragged green line stopped its usual up and down pattern.

Felix stared wide eyed, panic overtaking his senses.
