Epilogue*

Melaina and Legolas healed quickly and were soon back to normal. Right away, wedding preparations began. Elves bustled in and out of rooms with decorations, papers, and food. Excited filled the air as all was well in Mirkwood.

Finally, the wedding day arrived. Melaina was in her room with some elves preparing. The gently helped her slip into her gown and began lacing it up. The dress was a brilliant white with long, hanging sleeves. It was gorgeous. Melaina smiled sweetly as she looked in the mirror. The elves quickly rushed her over to a seat and began fixing her hair.

After what seemed like forever, Melaina was ready. After thanking those that had helped her, she walked towards where the wedding would take place. Bright flowers filled the halls and hung from the ceilings. Color burst from every corner.

At last, Melaina arrived. Instantly, Thranduil walked up to her and smiled, "My dear, girl. You look beautiful!" They quickly embraced and then linked arms. Joyful music began flowing through the room. The bride and her father entered as everyone rose.

Elronis stared in shock at his bride-to-be. They smiled at each other until Melaina reached him and Thranduil sat down.

"Princess Melaina, do you take this man to be your husband? To love, honor, and cherish him for all the days of your life?"

"I do." Melaina gently squeezed Elronis' hand. He squeezed back sweetly.

"And Lord Elronis, do you take this woman to be your wife? To love, honor, and cherish her all the days of your life?"

"I do."

"And now, I pronounce you, married!" Everyone cheered. "You may now kiss the bride!" Elronis swooped Melaina up into his arms, and passionately kissed her.

They had a wonderful honeymoon, and lived forever together in happiness.

But that is not the end...

Soon after, Melaina gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! They named her Erina but her nickname was Estel. Estel means hope, and hope is what brought her into that world.
