Chapter 9- The Black Market

The Sophmores, including you, were in the dressing room waiting for instructions.
"As I've said, those junior members will visit the city hall to have a meeting about the Festival of the Meteor tomorrow afternoon, got it?" Sanu explained.

"Why did you pick the Carnivores? We herbivores want to go out too!" Some Herbivores argued.
"Didn't you see the news? Herbivores's activities will be limited to inside the school for a while," He said. They whined until Louis spoke up.

"As much as I don't want (Y/N) to go, she needs to see what we're going to do. You guys do know that carnivores can get out of control where they lose all rational thinking," He glared at Bill and Legoshi, making you look down.
"One more thing," Louis opened the door and looked directly at you five.

"Don't even think about going to the Black Market," And with that he left.
You furrowed your eyebrows and looked at your hand.

'Why did he have to mention that place?'

You breathed in the city air as you looked around.
'Isn't this a sight to behold,' You thought.
"Would you look at that, all the birds are flying," Aoba sighed.
"So jealous," You chuckled at his words and looked around.

'Being inside for years, I forgot how big the city was,' You thought.
"Oh yeah, you have a flying license until you graduate from school," Tao explained.
"I thought you weren't interested in the outside world," Aoba teased Legoshi, as his tail was wagging.

"Hey! Let's go!"

You five were in a fast food place eating, discussing about the plans for the festival.
"It's the same as last year," Legoshi commented.
"Eh, it was a good excuse for us to go out anyways," Bill shrugged. Tao then piped in for Bill to finish his sex story.

You rolled your eyes as you took a bite of your veggie burger.
"So, when will you loose your virginity Legoshi?" Bill grinned wrapping an arm around the wolf.
"Let me say, I can smell a virgin scent miles away," Bill said.
"Psssh, then how come you couldn't know where she was before you had sex with her?" You joked.

Tao and Aoba burst out laughing as Bill stared at you in shock and embarrassment.
"What?! It's not like you know, you weren't there!" He huffed while crossing his arms. Legoshi looked at you from his side and smiled a little.

'You do know how to make me smile (Y/N),'

"Aoba don't tell me we're lost," You sighed as the Eagle was looking at his phone confusingly.
"Uhhh, I think we're lost," He finally said. It was night and you five were just walking around.
'I would lead the way, but being in my home for so long I don't know where even the bathroom is,' You thought.

"It says we're close in zoozle maps," He said.
"Aren't you a bird? Use your migratory senses!" Tao said.
"He's not a migration bird ya doof," You elbowed his side, making him make an 'oof' sound.
"I don't think we're too far guys," Legoshi reassured you guys.

You five looked around to find a way to the station while in an alley. You turned your head to see Legoshi kneeling in front of a goat. A wave of something hit your nose, making you quickly covering it and your eyes widen.
'That smell, don't tell me...'

"Pick any finger you like, it's on sale," The goat said in a raspy voice. A truck drove off and you finally get to see what this place was.

The Black Market.

Your Herbivore instincts were moving in you, desperately tryin g to escape from this place, but your Carnivore instincts were telling you to eat. You pushed those instincts deep and grabbed the back of Legoshi's shirt.
"You guys we need to leave now," You mumbled. Just then, Bill shoved the both of you.

"Hey man! You said that it's 70,000 for a finger?" He asked excitedly. You were a little shocked at Bill's action.
"What do you say guys? Let's all get a bite! We can all split it-" You punched Bill in the gut, making him groan in pain.
"Are you out of your mind Bill?! What are you thinking?!" You scowled at him.

"You need to cut it out Bill," Legoshi said while glaring at the Tiger.
"You're the ones who lost their minds! We are at the Black Market! I'm not going to let your ego get in my way! And I don't need your little Herbivore mind get me out of this!" Bill growled. Your ears pinned as you felt like slapping him this time.

'This is why I never liked the people in my school, no matter who they were their instincts got the better of them,' You thought.
"Don't say that about her," Legoshi growled back, his fur fluffing up.
"Legoshi! Calm down," Aoba was in between the wolf and tiger.

"If we were at school, I'd be on your side, but we are in a different situation. You looked at him in disbelief.
"Look around you, we're in the Black Market, and we're Carnivores. Well, one of us isn't," He scratched the back of his neck.
"(Y/N) maybe it's best that you get to the station where it's safe," He told you.

Legoshi stood there, frozen where he was standing, until he turn clenched his fist.
"Is that what it means to you when becoming an adult?! To eat innocent people?!" And with that, he ran off into the Market.
"Legoshi!!" You called out, before turning and punching Bill in the gut again.

"You don't what it's like to be someone like me! To fear, yet to have a urge. You know what it's like to be a Herbivore Bill?!" You screamed at him.
"Eat all you want, but I'm not going to let my friend regret something for the rest of his life!" You yelled at all three of them and running in.
"Legoshi! Legoshi!" You called out, trying to find him.

You couldn't find him, as you try to think of where he was. Until a realization hit you, making you be filled with dread.

'Of all the people here, why did it have to be him?'

"Gouhin!! Open the door now!!" You yelled as you banged on the door. The door opened and revealed a familiar muscular panda.
"(Y/N). long time no see," Gouhin said in slight shock.
"Skip the pleasantries," You glared at him.
"Where's Legoshi?"

"Legoshi? That kid was here earlier, he passed out around the Black Market, he became one of my clients," He explained crossing his arms. You felt your heart quicken at the thought of Legoshi controlling his instincts.

"I saw him leave to the train station," You turn to find him, but a hand was wrapped around your arm. He was way taller than you so you stopped.
"Wait, let me talk to you for a moment," You internally groaned and turn to him.

"What is it to talk about, I told you many times that what happened back then was a mistake, and we both know that," You told him.
"Listen! I know what we did was wrong, but I just want to see you again!" He said in a guff tone. You stared at him for a moment, until you slumped your shoulders.

"Five minutes, that's all you got,"

"You seriously gave him a porn magazine?!" You said in disgust in shock.
"He wanted to see if he had a fetish or a problem! I help my clients (Y/N)," He defended. You rubbed your face and mumbled something unintelligible.

"Also, I want to apologize, for what happened years ago. It was in the heat of the moment, and I'm sure we both regret it," Gouhin explained.
"Yeah..." You mumbled out. The silence between you two was deafening.
"Gouhin, did you still feel something to me?" You suddenly asked while picking up your tea.

You didn't hear anything by for a moment until he spoke up.
"It depends, do you want me to still feel something? Or do you want me to forget? Forgetting is easy for me, but it all come down on you." He said.
"Yes... I mean no! I mean- I just... ugh!" You slammed your head against the table, making the tear shake and spill.

"I don't know Gouhin! You and your physiological questions!" You said muffled, making his laugh.
"Still the same old (Y/N) I know," He smirked. You sat up and looked at him, causing you to smile softly.
"I really missed you Gouhin, but I need to finish one last case, then I don't think you'll see me again," You sighed standing up and grabbing your bag.

Gouhin watched as you gave him one last nod, and opening the door to leave.

'I missed you too, (Y/N),'
