Chapter 8- Learning how you feel

Let's say that the silence between you three was deafening.

You awkwardly took a bite of your donut as Haru looked up.
"Thanks for letting me use your backpack, I'm the perfect height," She smiled while kicking her legs. You let out a small chuckle and sighed.
'I don't really think Legoshi let go of the stage incident, or he realized that I recognized him that one night,' You thought.

Legoshi just sat there staring at you both.
"Hey," Haru piped up, making him jump.
"I don't know what happened, but cheer up. You won't grow if you don't eat," She smiled. You smiled too as he took a bite, but you felt Haru stiffen her leg up.
'What the heck?' You wondered as she simply chuckled.
'Both of them, I forgot how different they are, despite (Y/N) being a hybrid,' Legoshi thought, remembering the secret you told him and Kai.

"WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?!" Kai shouted in shock, in which you quickly covered his mouth.
"Quiet down!" You hissed as both of them stared at you in shock.
"And yes, seriously. I'm part fox too, my mother's side," You sighed slowly taking your hand away.
"It was a forbidden love between my parents, and then I was born. I got bullied as a kid severely and almost got killed." You explained.

"My father passed away from an attack involving a carnivore, and I had to move with my mom. That's why I'm here in this school." Your ears drooped slightly. It wasn't a complete lie, so you genuinely felt sadden. Kai and Legoshi felt pity for you, Legoshi felt it the most.
'She's gone through all of that, and that night of me attacking her and the rabbit. She must feel scared' Legoshi thought.

"So please, don't tell anyone about this, not even Louis, if he knows that I'm part Carnivore I don't know what he'll do, please," You begged them. You didn't like begging but you just told them one of your secrets so they better keep their promise.
"I won't (Y/N)! I'm not going to say anything!" Kai grinned.

"Legoshi?" The wolf jumped at his name.
"Will you keep it?" You looked at him with a worried face.
"Y-yeah, I will," He said, making you sigh in relief.

"Thank you both so much, now let's going,"

"You're such a pervert," You snapped out of your thought and turned to Haru, a little shocked.
"You shouldn't stare and girls eating like that," Haru joked. You turn to Legoshi, who was nervously looking away.
'Damn Legoshi,' You thought jokingly.

"I wanted to thank you two for the other day, so I'm glad we could talk," She said.
"I was really was prepared to sleep with a wolf, and (Y/N) you came in just in time," You coughed and rubbed your neck in embarrassment.
"You put that blanket on me and left, and (Y/N) didn't tell anyone else,"

'Of course, I may be a student here, but I know that these teens are really immature,' You thought.
'I can feel these two tense atmosphere. I can sense Haru's instinct to run every time Legoshi opens his mouth.' You thought as you were drinking your juice.

'Legoshi doesn't know her name, Haru can't help but feel scared inside, and I'm over here being a third wheel, this fully reminds me of high school. Maybe if I tell Haru-'
"Well, that was a delicious!" Haru suddenly said and got up.
"Thanks for having me around for dinner," She smiled.

You got up to follow her as she turned to Legoshi.
"We're both going to our dorms, how about you?" She asked.
"You can follow if you want," You shrugged. You three were walking down the sidewalk, crickets chirping all around. You felt something on your foot and looked down to see your shoe was unbuckled.

"Hang on," You said and kneeled down to try and fix it.
"You two can go on without me I don't want to slow you down," You told them. You fiddled with you with your shoe until you saw a white hand and grey hand.

"Let me help," They both said. You looked up and saw them, and feel something in your stomach. You three stared at each other for a moment.
"Haru," You suddenly said.
"What?" Legoshi questioned.
"Her name is Haru, I sensed that you wanted her name, and her name is Haru," You told him.

"In that case, what's yours?" Haru asked.
"Legoshi," He said looking at you. You stood up and out your hands on your hips.
"Well then! That tense moment was over. Now, let's head back you two," You smiled and walked off. Haru and Legoshi followed, with their thoughts everywhere,

'(Y/N)'s eyes, it's not the same as Fudge's, I think it's because of her being a hybrid. But, I want her to smile more, to see her more, not just in the Drama Club. I want to see who you really are,'

'I never knew how soft (Y/N)'s fur is. The way she moves her body, the way she would be near. It's enduring, and I like that. I wish to see her more often,'

'(Y/N), what are you doing to me?'

Another breaking news and a Thompson Gazelle was murdered by a Carnivore. You groaned at the news on your phone, shoving it in your pocket.
'Cops are out there getting clues about who are behind those murders, while I'm here only having two leads,' You thought running your hands on your face.

'This was why I became a detective,' You suddenly heard a yell, and two others yelling.
"Let go of me!" You turn the corner to see a Raccoon and Eagle messing with a wolf.
"Show us who you are Carnivore!" He threatened.

"Hey!" They stopped and turned to you.
"You heard her, let go of her now," You sternly said.
"What does it matter to you huh? We're just showing this Grey Wolf about what they did!" The Eagle said crossing his arms.
"Just because a Grey Wolf is a suspect of the murdering doesn't mean she's part of it!" You growled.

"How would you know? You're just a Red Panda!" The raccoon scowled as the Eagle pushed you.
"You're gonna regret that," You darkly said as you felt your fox instincts clawing inside you, telling you to attack.
"Excuse me," You turn to see Legoshi standing there.

"I'm her older brother, and she's my friend. What's the problem?" He said. You tilted your head in confusion, until you saw him motion his head to you.
'Fake it till you make it. I like it Legoshi,' You thought.
"Liar! You two look nothing alike!" The Eagle retorted.

"I look like my father and she looks like our mother," He kneeled down at her level.
"You okay sis?" He asked. She turned her head to look at you and you nodded.
"Yes, thank you bro," She mumbled out.

"Let's go," The raccoon grumbled.
"Don't get eaten by them Panda," The Eagle spat out, making you sigh.
'People are dumb,' You thought. You two talked to her about the bullying. She started to cry about the fact she needed to get use to it.
"Hey," You placed a paw on hers, making her look up at you.

"It's important that you get frustrated with these situations, feeling those frustrations makes you stronger, right Legoshi?" You said.
"Yeah, let's go (Y/N)," He stood and and walked off, you following behind.
"You're Legoshi and (Y/N) from the Art Department right?" You stopped and turn to her.

"I'm a new member, I just joined the Drama Club this year," She confessed.
"Really?" Legoshi asked shocked.
"I'm Juno," You felt something strange in the air, coming from her.
'Huh, weird,' You shrugged it off.

"I'm part of the actors team. Sheila said there was a Grey Wolf who is a sophomore. She said that you were a kind wolf, and I'm glad to see you are," She smiled.
'That's what the smell is, she likes Legoshi,' You thought, making you smile at the fact someone likes Legoshi like that.

"And since we're wolves, well... besides (Y/N), we don't have to be formal!" She stammered out.
"Well, are you being at the club today?" You asked her.
"Not really, only the sophomores are attending," She said.

'Oh right, the festival,'
