Elliot's POV:
1 month. 3 weeks. 4 days. I met my mate almost 2 months ago.

Yet I don't know who she is, what makes her, her. I don't know what her eyes look like, what her voice sounds like. Her favorite food, her favorite color, her favorite animal, I don't know them.

My wolf is restless, he'll I'm restless. We want our mate but we can't have her. We can't have her because she's not ours to take right now.

It's not what you think either. She is not with another boy, no I would never let that happen, she deserves a man not a boy. It's quite the opposite actually, there is no boy because she's not even awake to date.

She's in a coma and has been for 7 years...

         -Two Months Ago-
My mate, I had finally found her. "What's going on here, you are not aloud on this part of the pack house" someone says. I turn around and see Josh and Elle. "Who is she" I growl. "Why do you want to know" Josh says.

I growl "my mate is laying in that bed, and is not waking up. So I'm asking you one more time. WHO IS SHE.". Josh looks surprised then sad. "S-she's our daughter".

"Why is she laying in this bed in a room that has a bookshelf for a door?" I ask. Very confused myself, does she like to be alone. That wouldn't explain why she hasn't woken up yet, we haven't exactly been the quietest.

"Elliot I'm sorry" Elle says crying. What is she talking about? Why is she crying? I don't say anything and Josh continues.

"She is in a coma, she isn't supposed to wake up. We came here to take her off life support."

My heart dropped hearing this.

My mate, they came to kill my mate. "YOU WILL DO NO SUCH THING" my wolf takes over and roars. Jayden submits not being able to stand the power radiating off me.

I feel my claws replace my fingers, fur start to sprout on my arms and legs, my canines grow sharper. I roar my wolf is taking over and I can't stop it. He's forcing the shift, as much as I try to stop it, I can't. I fall to my knees collapsing from the pain.

The doctor I saw walk in the first time rushes in. He takes a long needle filled with a yellow tinted liquid, wolfsbane. Jayden holds me down while my wolf claws at his face.

That's going to leave one hell of a mark...oh well.

The doctor stabs the needle into my arm, my wolf roars in pain. Falling to the ground the last thing we see is black dots taking over our vision.

"Mate" he says one last time before we go into darkness.

I wake up in a white room, I smell chocolate, roses, and pineapple. I look around and the first thing I see is a beautiful curly brown haired girl laying in the bed next to mine. It all comes back to me, finding my mate, the alphas daughter, in a coma for 7 whole years.

Madeline. Madeline Laurel. Just thinking about her calms me down. I inhale her mouthwatering sent and tell myself everything was just fine.

But it wasn't and I know that, my mates not supposed to wake up. Her parents came in here to kill her. My wolf paces around on my head angry at the thought

"Mate will wake up" my wolf says.

"Kai" I say sadly.

Even I don't know if she'll wake up, 7 years, why would she wake up now.

"Mate has to wake up" I hear him growl.

"I hope so to Kai" I say trying to tell myself she will.

I hear the door start to open, I sit up quickly. The doctor, Josh, Elle, and Jayden come in.

"I want somebody to explain to me why my mate is laying in a coma in that bed. Right now."

Jayden gives me a look full of pity. I growl I don't want his pity I want to know what happened to her. What happened to you Madeline?

Josh's response was something I never expected to here.

"When she was four she was kidnapped from her room by rogues. We looked for her for years but there was no sign of her. We were losing hope, we thought she was dead." he starts to cry. I growl. My wolf whimpering in my head almost feeling my mates pain.

Elle continues where Josh left off tears streaming down her face, staining her cheeks red.

"We were eating dinner w-when the border patrol guards told us there were rogues at the borders. Josh rushes out along with 12 of our best warriors because our guards said there were quite a few rogues and he could smell blood." Elle starts crying even more

Josh finishes "As we made our way to the border I heard growling and whimpering. We saw around 15 rogues they were surrounding 2 figures we couldn't make out at the time. They were Madeline and a women who helped her escape after the rogues hideout was eased by another pack. We killed all the rogues. Madeline had injuries that were basically beyond repair. Her spine was severely damaged, the doctor said that if there was a chance she would wake up she wouldn't walk again. Her neck looked like one of the rogues had torn a piece out of it, and her arm was b-barely hanging on to her body. It's a miracle she was still alive then."

"Mates strong" Kai growls and whimpers at the same time.

My mate was strong she'd make a great Luna. A tear leaves my eye as I look over at Madeline. My beautiful mate.

"Those were the recent injuries on her body. She also had whip marks lining her back and legs. She had bruises on her face, neck, ribs, arms, and pelvic area."

My jaw clenched. What had they done to her?

"You will not be taking her off life support, she will wake up." I say angrily

My wolf was angry, angry at the rogues who had the nerve to do that to her. Angry at her parents for wanting to take her of life support. Angry at the Moon Goddess for letting that happen to such an innocent person, and lastly angry at himself because he couldn't have done anything to stop this.

"We don't know if she's suffering, it might be the best if we do take her off life support." The idiot doctor says.

"She will wake up and when she does she will be coming home with me." I growl making them all tremble from my alpha voice.

"But she's our daughter we haven't talked to her in 13 years." Josh shouts.

"You were going to take her off life support, it doesn't sound like you wanted to meet her very much." I yell back.

"We were doing what we thought would be best." Elle whispers quietly.

I turn towards her quickly "well it's not what's best, she will stay on the machine till she wakes up.

I sigh, mind linking my third in command telling him I will be staying here longer with 6 warriors. Jayden will be heading back along with the other 6 warriors.

"I'm going to be staying longer" I tell Josh and Elle.

"Ok well prepare a room on this floor closer to here." Elle says.

"I want my things and a bed moved in here." I tell them.

"Are you sure, doctors come in here later in the night every night to check her blood pressure and heartbeat" Elle says.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Ok I'll get an omega to bring your stuff here." Josh says.

"Ok" I turn towards the door and walk back to my old room.

"You're going to go back and take care of the pack while I'm here, take 6 of the warriors." I tell Jayden knowing he's behind me.

"Ok, any preference on the ones I take" he asks.

"The ones with mates" I say flatly.

"Ok, Elliot are you ok?" He asks probably worried.

"I'm fine" I tell him.

I'm not fine. I can't hug her, kiss her, tell her how beautiful she is. We can't be a normal couple because some rogues can't keep to themselves.

I pick my stuff up and take it to the room where she is, and for the first time since my mom died I cry.

-Present Day-
I think about everything from the last 2 months. There's been no difference in her health, it's been the same thing everyday. Wake up, eat breakfast, do paperwork, eat lunch, go for a run, more paperwork, eat dinner, than stare at my beautiful mate till I go to bed.

I have to go back to my pack soon, and I want to take her with me. Her parents won't allow it though, they want to be there if she ever wakes up.

I understand that but at the same time I need her with me

I will be going back to my pack next week, without her. I will be coming to visit her every weekend, it's not enough for me but it will have to do.
