Suppressing her emotions, Jisoo cleared her throat to grab their attention. The room fell silent, the atmosphere thick with awkwardness. Y/n's eyes were filled with an odd mixture of exhaustion and vulnerability. She murmured an apology, catching Seokjin's attention.

Confusion filled Jisoo's mind. What had she missed? Why was Y/n hugging Seokjin so intimately? Questions raced through her head, but she pushed them aside for the moment.

"It's fine. I don't mind helping you out, ever. Come to me anytime, alright?" Seokjin's voice was gentle, his words laced with concern. Y/n blinked, appearing shy and taken aback. Jisoo couldn't help but wonder what had transpired between them.

Jisoo finally spoke up. "What did I miss, if I may ask?" Her voice trembled slightly, betraying the mix of emotions swirling inside her.

Seokjin let out a sigh, his brows furrowing in frustration. "Just Jiseul being a bitch, as usual," he replied, his tone filled with annoyance. Jisoo couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Y/n. She knew all too well how mean-spirited Jiseul could be.

Before the tension could escalate further, Jisoo tried to lighten the mood. "Haha, my brother really knows how to drive that dumbass crazy," she chuckled, playfully waving her hand around Y/n's shoulders.

"Brother?" Y/n looked up at Jisoo with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. Her brown eyes flickered with a hint of vulnerability, and Jisoo found herself drawn to her even more. "Yes, Taehyung is my brother," she replied, offering Y/n a warm smile.

"Well, that's shocking," Y/n murmured, her lips forming a slight pout. Jisoo found it endearing how Y/n's expressions changed so quickly.

"Why must it be?" Jisoo chuckled, leaning against the bench. She was starting to enjoy this dynamic between herself, Seokjin, and Y/n. "Y/n, aren't you wondering how such a goofy guy like him has such a mature sibling?" They burst into laughter, and Jisoo couldn't but blush at the unintentional compliment she received from her crush.

"Well then, girls, I'll get going. Have a good time here, Y/n!" Seokjin waved and made his way out of the room. Jisoo couldn't help but watch him as he disappeared, feeling a mix of emotions she couldn't quite put into words.

Y/n's pov :

The cafeteria was buzzing with activity as I sat down with Jisoo and her friends. They were a lively bunch, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement being in their company.

"So, I'm basically from Thailand, but I've always wanted to do my masters in Korea, so I pursued it in my early teens," Lisa, the girl with bangs, explained her life story with enthusiasm.

As they introduced themselves one by one, I learned that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa were all part of a musician band formed within the school. They called themselves "Blackpink" and performed rock, punk, and pop music. They had even participated in national exhibitions and school performances, showcasing their talent.

"Honestly, you guys are pretty cool. I would love to watch you all perform sometime!" I beamed, unwrapping my roasted beef sandwich. The cafeteria menu was surprisingly diverse and appetizing.

"It would be a pleasure to have you as our audience as well," Jennie replied, chuckling. "Y/n, don't you like music and dance too?" Rosé chimed in, her curiosity piqued.

I hesitated for a moment before answering, "Actually, I do! But I've never been in the spotlight like you all. No one really knows about my interest in music and dance."

Lisa giggled and then suggested, "Guys, wouldn't it be nice if we had Y/n as an alternate member?" The table fell into a moment of silence as everyone considered the idea. My heart skipped a beat, and a rush of nervousness flooded through me.

"I mean, she actually has a honey-like voice. She might be a good singer," Lisa continued, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Jennie nodded in agreement, and all eyes turned to me, waiting for my response.

I nervously glanced around the table, feeling a mix of apprehension and excitement. "Well, that doesn't really sound like a bad idea to me. You guys could ask me to sing something for you, if that's okay," I finally uttered, my voice barely above a whisper.

A wide smile spread across Rosé's face as she reached out to pat my shoulder. "You guys, I'm already so excited!" Lisa exclaimed, followed by Jisoo's infectious laughter. "Well, as for now—"

"Socializing much, Y/n?" Jennie's words were cut off by the sound of a fist slamming onto our table. The cafeteria grew quiet, and all heads turned to see a blonde girl standing there, radiating an air of confidence and superiority.

Jisoo's mocking voice broke the silence. "Here comes the simp," she muttered, provoking the unknown girl.

The blonde girl smirked at Jisoo and then shifted her gaze to me. "And you, my darling," she said with a sarcastic sweetness, "you think you can get your hands on Seokjin?"

"Oh, so you actually are a simp." I muttered but loud enough for her to hear.

The girl's eyes burned with rage, and without warning, she grabbed my cup of juice and poured it onto my shoes before storming off. I sat there, not bothered since I knew what was coming ahead for her.

I took a deep breath to steady myself before replying, "First of all, I have no intention of getting my hands on anyone. And secondly, Seokjin is my boyfriend, so I suggest you mind your own business."

The cafeteria erupted with whispers and gasps. The blonde girl's smirk faltered, replaced by a mix of surprise and irritation. "You're lying," she retorted, her voice dripping with disbelief.

I met her gaze squarely, my determination shining through. "Believe what you want, but it doesn't change the truth. Now, if you're done trying to make a scene, I suggest you walk away before things escalate further."

Her eyes flickered with a mix of anger and uncertainty, but she knew better than to push it any further. With a huff, she turned on her heel and stormed off, leaving behind a stunned and intrigued audience.

Jennie and Lisa seemed intrigued and amused, exchanging glances and smirking at each other. Rosé had a surprised expression, trying to process what just happened.

But when I looked at Jisoo, I saw a flicker of sadness in her eyes. Her smile had faded, and she was staring down at her food, seemingly lost in her own thoughts.

Little did I know that this lie would unravel a complicated web of emotions, testing the bonds between us and forever changing the dynamics of our relationships.
