Chapter - 50
But Yoongi was no longer worried about being surrounded by darkness, as he had Jungkook hugging him against his chest, stroking his back with slow and repetitive movements, and him somewhat warm and constant breathing that left him drowsy. Before entering the dream world, Yoongi thought that if all the hugs with Jungkook were this good, it wouldn't be a problem to get used to them.
Sincerely, Yoongi had hoped that the next day the situation of what had happened and how they had woke up would result in something uncomfortable, full of nervous gestures and glances that avoided meeting; but none of that happened.
Let's see, it was weird, or maybe it would be better to say unexpected, waking up with another person next to you when you had been sleeping without company for so long. Of course, this only lasted a few moments, which took Yoongi's eyes to get used to the light coming through the window. Since it was dark the night before, he had pulled the curtains aside to let in some light from the other apartments; but once Jungkook managed to reassure him, Yoongi completely forgot to draw the curtains again and thus avoid waking up too early.
One of the things he learned that morning was that Jungkook was a deep sleeper. Yoongi wasn't going to start shaking him or yelling like crazy at him to get up, but he hoped that when he noticed some movement the boy would wake up. And seeing that his weak attempts were in vain, he had no choice but to try to escape from the embrace in which Jungkook had him; something that proved to be quite a challenge, because at the slightest movement the boy did not wake up, but he did strengthen his grip even more. If it were up to Yoongi, he would have stayed in bed, probably watching Jungkook's calm face as he slept, counting each of the moles scattered across his face and even entangling his fingers between the strands of hair that fell on the boy's forehead.
Not that Yoongi hadn't thought about it before. If he dug deep into his memories and was honest with himself, he would say that everything started to change over the Christmas holidays. The messages that were sent had nothing special or anything that denoted a change in the type of relationship they had, but there were a certain fluidity, comfort and confidence that had been established over time.
And all this without taking into account the occasional wet dream whose protagonist was the young man with bright eyes, something that Yoongi had been quick to attribute to the attractiveness of the boy and not to the fact that perhaps he was falling in love with him and that Maybe and just maybe, you'd like to try your luck again.
But as much as he wanted to try, he first had to make sure Jungkook was still willing to go one step further. Yoongi didn't want any illusions, because perhaps, after all this time, Jungkook had ended up seeing him only as a friend, he had gotten tired of waiting and he no longer saw the excitement of starting a relationship with his soulmate.
With a grunt, Yoongi managed to get away from Jungkook, although for this he had to resort to using his pillow for the boy to squeeze it thinking it was Yoongi. Once he was on his feet, he took the opportunity to stretch out and pop all those bones and joints that were numb, getting a satisfying feeling for it. After that, he made a quick visit to the bathroom before going to the kitchen and trying to make something to fill their empty stomachs, if the power was back, of course.
Luckily for him, the connection had been restored, but he didn't know how long it would last, so he took the opportunity to make a quick breakfast before his good luck ran out. Jungkook arrived just when he had finished preparing everything.
"Hey," Yoongi said by way of greeting.
"Good morning, Hyung," Jungkook answered in a sleepy voice as he ruffled his hair with one hand and rubbed his eyes with the other to finish waking up.
"It smells really good." The boy said as he stood next to him in the kitchen.
Jungkook still gave off that warmth of having been under the covers of the sheets, and Yoongi had to restrain himself from leaning on him, which was quite tricky because the boy gave off an air of innocence with his eyes and sleepy smile at the same time. That his movements spoke of sensuality. It was incredible how the boy could awaken such sensations in him with such simple and everyday actions. Yoongi had to blink a couple of times at the path his thoughts were going and then refocus on breakfast, otherwise, he would end up saying something really embarrassing.
"It's something simple. I didn't want to risk the power going out again." He commented with a slight frown. "Don't expect something like what Jin Hyung does. He really has a talent for making something tasty and palatable with four ingredients."
"He is the god of food," Jungkook added solemnly, and Yoongi agreed with him.
"Come on, eat before it gets cold." He told JUngkook as he put the breakfast on the table and sat down. Jungkook was quick to follow suit.
The two ate in silence, neither of them being very talkative, and still a little sleepy. The breakfast had been good for him, at least for his taste, and maybe for Jungkook's too, since the boy had eaten it with pleasure in less than a rooster crowed.
Yoongi, of course, took his time emptying his plate; he was in no rush. Jungkook remained seated, waiting for him to finish, and surveying the apartment around him.
At that moment, Yoongi realized that Jungkook had not been to his house before, apart from the night before and the night they met, and the two had been in complete darkness and for urgent reasons that did not allow a guided tour. . It's not like the apartment is too big either,
The sound of a cell phone startled them both.
"I'm sure it's Jimin Hyung."
Jungkook got up and went to the bedroom in search of his cell phone, with which he returned seconds later.
"A missed call." The boy said to his inquisitive gaze. He then proceeded to type something on his mobile, and Yoongi took advantage of the moment to clear the table and wash the dishes.
"Since I hadn't written to them, they wanted to make sure everything was okay. I didn't tell them anything last night, and when I left I didn't have time to explain anything either. " Jungkook said with a somewhat guilty tone for worrying his friends. "And Jimin Hyung wants to give me the 'if you don't call, at least text' talk, again," Jungkook added with resignation.
"Tell them what happened. They'll feel calmer when you explain it to them and you'll also get rid of the talk." Yoongi said with a smile as he turned to look at Jungkook, who was already staring intently at him, all traces of sleep evaporated.
"Are you sure it's okay?"
"...Yes why not?" He hadn't said it with much certainty, but he was a bit confused by Jungkook's change in behaviour.
"I won't tell them everything if you don't want to, Hyung."
The two of them looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds. Jungkook's eyes showed the same determination as his words, and Yoongi had to remind himself that this boy, as young and cheerful as he was, also had a more mature and protective side.
"I don't care if they know. Also, they would end up finding out. We all know the ability of those two to have someone tell them what they want to know, and you live with them, so there's not much you can do to prevent it." He explained with a shrug.
"That doesn't matter," Jungkook said with a frown. "If you don't want them to know, they won't. I'll tell them it's something between you and me and they won't insist. They respect that kind of thing."
Yoongi was taken by surprise by Jungkook's outburst and the seriousness and determination with which he had spoken. He was looking at Yoongi intently, trying to show him that he was severe, and Yoongi felt his heart skip a beat.
"Seriously, don't worry. It's okay if you tell them." Yoongi assured him as he approached the boy, who was still sitting in the chair and with the mobile in his hands. "I know they must be worried, and neither of us wants that."
Jungkook seemed satisfied with Yoongi's answer, and his posture relaxed a bit. He nodded before sending another message.
"You know you can trust me right Hyung?"
That morning seemed to be full of surprises for Yoongi, and it was impressive that he had endured them so calmly and naturally. Jungkook looked at him with expectant eyes full of vulnerability, waiting for an answer that would indicate that he was doing the right thing, that he had done the right thing last night. And Yoongi didn't have to weigh his answer, since those that are sincere do not need to be thought or embellished with pretty words.
"Of course I know. Last night I trusted you."
Relief and joy flooded Jungkook's face, who finished relaxing completely in his seat as he closed his eyes and smiled shyly. Yoongi couldn't help but do the same.
Sometime later, Jungkook received a call from a client who wanted to have him for a new project, since he had been amazed at the previous result of his work. After finalizing the details and ending the call, Jungkook said goodbye to Yoongi, but not before making him promise that he would call him if he needed or anything happened.
"I don't have to promise you. You will find out for your gem." He replied with a smile.
"Hyung, I mean it!" Jungkook exclaimed with wide eyes and a fine line of the mouth.
"Okay, okay, I promise."
"Insurance?"
Yoongi grunted in annoyance before answering. "Yes, heavy. I promise to call you if something happens. And now go, before I kick you out myself."
The boy simply threw his head back as he laughed out loud, causing Yoongi to smile slightly as he watched him disappear down the hall.
