Chapter 7【Rowan】
I wake up with a smile on my face; today is a very special day. It's Christmas! My 8th year of Christmas with Sophie, and hopefully the best one. I changed into a long-sleeved shirt, a waist coat and some vans, then went to buy stuff.
I bought us a turkey, then roasted it, and did all the necessary things that needed to be done for Christmas, such as putting up a Christmas tree, or decorating the house, or making the delicious food for the two of us. Of course, there was more than just that.
I finished with the turkey at around noon, then I went and bought a crappy plastic tree and some Christmas-y decorations for it, like silver baubles, red ornament, and a golden star that lit up. I also got some other ornaments like snowmen and reindeer on skis, a gingerbread couple, things like that.
When I finished with decorating the flat, it was already 5. Sophie would be back in two hours, so I had that time to spare. With the money I had left, I went to buy some scented candles that fit in with the holiday.
There was this one called "Twisted Peppermint", and it smelled amazing. I got that, and then I remembered: presents! I spent all this time doing everything but get presents!
In a rush, I got to Harrods. I looked around for things to get for Sophie, and settled on a candle holder shaped like a pug. I didn't buy anything for myself, for I already had everything that I needed.
Back at the flat, I wrapped her gift in like 10 minutes, and placed it under the tree. I looked at the clock. 6:55, was the time.
Hmm, five minutes left. I ran to my room and changed into a nice outfit. A cream top with silver writings, a light pink skirt with frills and sparkles(*), black tights and silvery-white boots with fur on the rim.
Just as I opened my room door, I heard another door open. The front door.
"Sophie!" I yelled happily, running down to greet her. When I came into her field of vision, her hand flew to her mouth as she gasped.
"R-Ro! You look so beautiful!" She smiled, giving me a hug. Today she looked extremely knackered, because 1, it was Christmas Day, and swarms of people go to eat at the restaurant she works in and 2, it was Christmas Day, so people were rushing to get home.
"I made us turkey for dinner." I smile, leading her to the living room.
"Oh my... Ro, you did all of this?" Her eyes were glistening. I grinned at her and nodded.
"I'll go get the food, you stay here." I say, going to the kitchen. Wearing my mittens, I carefully remove the turkey from the oven. I get the other dishes, then make my way back to the living room and place the plates on the table.
"Merry Christmas, Soph." I grin, tucking in to the delicious food. She smiles and does the same.

I get ready for another day. Sophie was bringing me out to a special place for a little thank-you gift for yesterday. We were at the train station, lining up to buy our tickets. I hummed a little tune while we waited. It took no more than half an hour for our turn to come, and we had our tickets.
Sophie and I took a seat on those wooden benches, and we chatted a little.
"So, did you like yesterday?"
"'Like' is an understatement."
"Well, did you love it then?"
"You're getting closer..."
"Hmm, absoloutely-love-it-I-could-die?"
"Haha, no. Just simply can't be put in words. I realy appreciated it, Ro. Thank you so, so much."
"No problem."
"Next year, I want to take you on a holiday."
"To where? And can you afford it even?"
"Don't bother about the money, Ro. I was thinking maybe, Isle of Man? You haven't been there yet."
"Yeah, well, I havent't been to lots of places before, Isle of Man is just one of them."
"Well, we might go there next year, anyway."
"Okay. Hey, our train is here!"
We stopped our lovely little chat and borded the train, sitting on the comfy cushioned seats. I wondered where she was taking me.
"We're going to Bath, by the way." She smiles, as is she could read my mind. What if she could?! Oh no...
I drew out my phone and took some pictures of Sophie and I making funny faces at the camera. Then I searched for Bath on the internet. It took me some time, for the internet thought I was referring to "Baths in England" But, I finally found a page on Bath on Wikipedia.
Bath is a city in Somerset, South West England, 97 miles (156 km) west of London and 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Bristol. In 2011, its population was 88,859. It became part of Avon in 1974; since Avon's abolition in 1996, it has been the principal centre of Bath and North East Somerset.
The city became a spa with the Latin name Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") c. AD 60 when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon, although oral tradition suggests that the hot springs were known before then. It became popular as a spa town during the Georgian era, leaving a heritage of Georgian architecture crafted from Bath Stone.
Bath became a World Heritage Site in 1987. The city's theatres, museums and other cultural and sporting venues have helped to make it a major centre for tourism with more than one million staying visitors and 3.8 million day visitors to the city each year. The city has two universities and there are large service sector, information and communication technology and creative industries.
Once I finished reading the page, we were there already. Sophie and I stepped out of the train onto the platform, making our way away from the train.
I was walking down a flight of stairs before I felt sombody push me from behind, for I tumbled down the many steps, hitting my head several times, and blacked out before I reached the bottom.
