"Wow I just... can't believe Lance could hide something like that," hunk gulped as voltron sat in Keith and shiros apartment as Allura told the team with Veronica behind her.

"Keith I thought you talked to him last night," Shiro was standing as all the Paladins sat on the couches. Lance hasn't been seen in hours.

"I did, he's just been staying at the mfe pilots, he didn't mention he was dating one," Keith had his hands clasped together in his lap as he bounced his leg. He felt guilty for not even asking something like that.

"And you said he and kinkade have been dating for three weeks now?" Shiro raised a brow at Veronica.

"Yea, I caught lance and Ryan sleeping together when I went to find him, three weeks is what he said," she sighed softly.

"Wow I thought it's been way longer," he shrugged and everyone looked at Shiro shocked.

"What? I'm not the only one who knew they at least had strong feelings, I suspected they've been dating, I know Lance would tell us when he was ready, he's not openly bisexual," Shiro said like it was obvious but no one knew what to say.

"How-how did you know?" Allura asked wide eyes.

"It was so obvious," he smiled sweetly.

"He also told me about your family? Veronica," Shiro sighed looking at her.

"I know that absolutely took a big part of him hiding the relationship, yea," she nodded crossing her arms.

"What about your family?" Keith sat up straighter having a feeling already why.

"They're not accepting about myself and now lance, our sexualities are just.. sins to our parents," she pursed her lips and Keith nodded slowly.

"Well he still has us, lance is still lance to us," Pidge offered softly with a nod.

"I'm more upset that he lied to us about it all," Allura looked down. She refused to believe this was the lance she knew, it had to be an act, his way of getting attention once again.

"What do you mean?" Hunk frowned.

"He said he doesn't like the same gender, and now he's in a relationship with one," Allura scoffed rolling her eyes.

"He was in denial, it was obvious he was trying to convince himself, I wish he came to talk to me about it," Shiro looked at her gently trying to explain it. It might not make as much sense to an altean when it was pretty common for humans.

"I'm going to go find him," Shiro said after a moment of silence.

"He wants to be alone," Veronica said softly.

"He might, but doesn't mean he shouldn't know he has to be," he smiled back at her.

As soon as Shiro went to open the door he heard a knock.

He opened the door and smiled seeing Lance was at the door.

"Shiro I need to talk to you," lance mumbled.

He looked over seeing everyone was already in the room.

"I uh... I meant alone, but seems like everyone is here," he looked down embarrassed.

"We'll talk alone," Shiro walked into the hall with a small smile as he closed the door behind him.

"I guessing you already know," lance whispered.

"I've known for a while, same when I knew in the desert too," Shiro touched his shoulder gently.

"I'm sorry," he sniffled.

"There's nothing to apologize for, I'm sorry for not stepping up, I was just waiting for you to come to me, I wasn't going to force you," Shiro nodded softly and lances laughed shaking his head.

"I don't know what to do, my mom and dad know, everyone knows, i don't want them to know," lance had another tear run down his face but rubbed it off quickly.

"Why?" Shiro asked. He just wanted to know what was going on in his head.

"Cause, I don't know, I liked how it was, I didn't even have to fucking sneak out, I got up and left and didn't come back, no questions, no pressure," lance mumbled keeping his eyes down.

"I slept at Ryan's almost every night, and no one even noticed so I didn't think to tell them in the first place," he explained and Shiro felt sadness sink in.

"You definitely have good taste, you seemed happier the past few months since you've met him," Shiro smiled.

"What am I going to do? I'm not breaking up with him, I like him a lot," lance sighed crossing his arms.

"We'd never ask you to break up, it's okay your in a relationship, as long as it doesn't affect you as a Paladin but otherwise I'm happy for you, proud your finding yourself, it's a journey," he looked down at his Paladin with pride seeing it was working to comfort him as well.

"Are they mad at me?" Lance whispered.

"No, no no, they're just surprised," Shiro put a hand on his back.

Lance didn't move, he didn't want to talk to them, he wasn't embarrassed to come out but he was terrified and overwhelmed. He didn't know what to do. Should he go talk to Ryan? But about what? What's happened has happened.

"Take as much time as you need, I'm here for you," Shiro nodded gently seeing through lances anxiety.

"I'll be okay, just.. I just don't want to be yelled at," lance whispered with his head down.

"I got your back, if Adam was here, he would too," he smiled and lance gulped a little. Adam, shiro's fiance. If Shiros gay then they have no reason to not accept him, it'll be fine...

Lance opened the door as Shiro stayed close, he looked up seeing everyone was waiting for them to come back. Waiting patiently on the couches in the living room, as well as his sister.

"Guys, lance has something important to say," Shiro broke the silence so lance didn't have too.

Lance swallowed a lump in his throat as he looked at them nervously.

"I-I'm b-bi, and I-I'm dating Ryan," he stuttered anxiously but it was better to get it out now.

"Thanks for sharing lance," hunk beamed brightly. "Im happy for you, really,"

"Let's take a seat,"

Lance sat in a chair on the side as he kept his hands in his lap. He definitely didn't want to talk to his sister.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys I have a boyfriend but it just didn't feel like anything changed for me, Ryan's been a great friend and we just happen to like each other more so things just kind of happened," lance inhaled deeply with a nod, bouncing his leg.

"I don't know what else to say," he sighed.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Allura asked sharply.

"Because you didn't ask," lance shrugged.

Everyone's jaw dropped.

"Are you kidding?" Veronica blinked.

"Did you ask?" He raised a brow.

"Uh.. no as didn't ask you if you were dating a boy," Allura frowned a little shaking her head.

"And you didn't ask if I was dating period, you didn't ask what I was doing with the mfe pilots so much, you didn't ask why I was with Ryan so much, you didn't ask why I left and didn't Come back multiple nights," lance knitted his brows together looking at her.

"No one asked if I was doing okay except Ryan, so yea I'm going to fall in love with him and stay with him more since he actually seemed like he cares about what I say," he looked down at his feet trying to control his breathing.

"Wait lance you don't think we care?" Keith was baffled. "We spend so much time together before you even got a boyfriend, he doesn't know you like we do!"

"He brought me medications he didn't even know that would be right just so I could feel better once, he hugs me when I cry, he makes me feel wanted," lance shot his head up wide eyes.

"Isnt this just a phase for you to get attention?" Allura asked.

"No!" He gasped.

"I'm sorry I just find it hard to believe, I mean it's lance, and kinkade seems so opposite," she narrowed her eyes at him as lance looked hurt.

"For once someone doesn't make me feel like shit for being how I am and it's a phase for attention? Are you serious?" His voice shook, he was exhausted.

"Whoa lance take it easy, Allura you can't say that," Keith stopped them from saying another word.

"It's a relationship, not a cry for attention, just because the spot lights not on you anymore doesn't mean I get to be invalidated now," lance barked back at her and Allura glared.

"Tell that to me when kinkade needs room to breathe his own air," she spat and he clenched his fists tightly.

"Hey, enough, both of you," Veronica stepped in.

"Jesus if I knew this would be an interrogation I should've let you hand cuff me to a table," lance scoffed.

"What did you think this was gonna be?" Allura sneered. Lance looked at her almost betrayed, she didn't understand how this works on earth but she was showing no empathy or that she would apologize.

"I'm done then," he sighed standing up.

"Lance-" "I said I'm done, there's nothing else to say," lance waved them off as he headed to the door.

He made sure it was closed behind him as he bit his lip with tears in his eyes. He covered his face for a moment, he knew this is how it was going to be. Lance looked up and saw Ryan leaning against the wall waiting, he was straight in front of him.

"Hey?" Lance raised a brow.

"Veronica texted me, let me know and all," Ryan looked at him calmly as he pushed off the wall.

"I'm sorry," lances eyes started to burn feeling tears returning.

"For what?" He asked.

"You deserve someone better, I can't be better, I just can't seem to be better," his voice started to waver.

"Want a hug?" Ryan offered. He nodded quickly and went into his boyfriends arms and buried his face in his shoulder as Ryan held him close to his chest.

"I don't want someone better, I want you, I need you lance," Ryan closed his eyes as lance clenched his shirt.

"Thank you mi Amor," lance whispered inhaling deeply.
