"Alright team voltron, I got some team exercises we can try out, with being back to earth I know things have been weird but we need to be just as together as we were on the castle," Shiro rounded up all his Paladins as well as romelle and Coran.

"I thought we were done with team exercises a long time ago," Pidge groaned.

Lance sat with Keith as they looked at each other unamused and sent the other a glare.

"I'm not doing that electric one again with Keith," lance raised his hand.

"That was on the castle," Shiro sighed.

"Can I partner up with hunk?" Keith raised his hand now.

"You don't get partners," the captain said flatly.

"Then what are we doing?" Lance asked raising a brow.

"Trust falls?" Hunk offered.

"What's that?" Allura asked.

"You fall backwards and someone catches you," he explained with a smile.

"Oh that sounds fun!" She gasped nodding.

"I'd also like to do trust falls!" Romelle smiled.

Shiros brow twitched a little but he knew he lost already to the others. Coran stepped over to Shiro to let the Paladins have an even number and also didn't feel like getting dropped.

"Alright partner up," he sighed.

Keith ran over to hunk as Pidge tried to shove him away but the black Paladin already kicked her back into lance.

"Your feral," Pidge hissed.

"I already called dibs," Keith narrowed his eyes.

Pidge raced to Romelle as she flipped Keith and hunk off.

"Joy! I got the small Paladin!" Romelle squealed hugging Pidge.

Lance inhaled deeply and let out a soft sigh, looking over at Allura with a smile.

"Hey partner," he waved. She didn't look thrilled. He should've stayed with Keith.

"I know your not happy with it but we're still a team," he crossed his arms, dropping the nice act with her. He didn't have anything to prove, he was just wanted to leave sooner to go by the mfe's again.

"What?" That caught Allura off guard. He didn't really look at her anymore or flirt.

"Do you wanna go first? Since it's your first time with trust falls it might be fun," lance tilted his head to the side calmly.

"I-uh sure?" She gulped.

"Alright so all you do is cross your arms over your chest," lance smiled as he demonstrated. "Then lean back like your falling and I'll catch you,"

"You're going to drop me?" She made a face.

"Nope, if you keep still and arms tight it'll be really easy to catch," lance snorted.

"Alright..." Allura didn't really trust his strength to catch her weight.

Allura crossed her arms over her chest as lance stood a few feet away but still close enough, she leaned back but her feet caught herself instead.

"I'm sorry I'm just nervous, are you sure you can catch me?" Allura whined a little as lance laughed it off nodding.

"If I don't catch you, you can drop me," lance chuckled. She gave him a look unsure but nodded slowly. She crossed her arms again and closed her eyes to trust herself to fall back.

She did and gasped when lance caught her when she fell back enough when she wouldn't be able to catch herself. Lance laughed a little holding under her arms and Allura looked up at him surprised.

"Your not heavy Allura, but you did great," he brought her back up to her feet Allura Alluras face burned a little.

"Wanna do it again?" He asked. Allura nodded.

She did it again and fell faster with no hesitation as lance caught her under her arms again. They both laughed a little as Allura was having fun with it now.

"See, it's easy," he looked down at her as Allura was still in his hands.

"Your stronger than you lead on lance," she laughed back when he helped her up.

"Thank you, I've been trying," he smiled back. She was waiting for a flirty come back from him but it never came. There was relief and a real smile on her face as he left it as that.

"Yes I've noticed, you've been training more," Allura nodded and lance grinned to himself, Ryan did say he was improving. He wondered what Ryan was up to now? Probably out shooting with James. He wondered if Ryan would start shooting photos more when the war was over, he had a great eye for that stuff-

"Lance did you hear me?" Allura snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Yea yea sorry, I have been training more, staying busy," lance laughed awkwardly as he blushed a little embarrassed.

"I asked if kinkade has taught you anything useful for voltron," she smiled softly.

"Yea, he's so smart he's been pointing out what I could improve for fighting and shooting," lance couldn't help but feel his face get more red.

"It's good your taking someone's criticism, you never listened to me or Keith when we tried helping," She giggled.

"Aha.. you guys more just yelled at me than to improve me?" His smile faltered but still kept a little to fake it.

"But it worked," Allura nodded proudly. Lance pursed his lips shrugging it off and waited for Shiro to give the next order on what the point of this is.

"Uh sure, whatever floats your boat," lance waved her off. He looked around the room curiously and bored.

"We should train together," Allura offered.

"Huh? Why?" He looked at her confused.

"I just wanna see how good you've gotten, you spend a lot of time with kinkade and the pilots so you must've been better," she put her hands behind her back with a smile.

"Oh sure, whenever works, I'll probably go hang out with them after this since we've been getting into some cool tricks, Ryan's knows this sick back kick and I'm so close to getting it," his eyes lit up excited.

"I'm definitely getting flexible again thanks to Rizavi," lance smirked over at her.

"How interesting?" She forced a smile.

"Sorry I was rambling," he looking down.

"That's just what you do," Allura sighed nodding. His stomach dropped a little.

"Sorry," he forced his own smile again.

They quieted down and Allura looked at him seeing Lance was looking at the door like he was waiting to get out of there. Why was he always focused on other things? It's not that hard to just pay attention to what they needed to get done.

Lance wondered if they even noticed that he didn't come back to their cabin last night, that he accidentally stayed with Ryan all night, they talked and played games on their phones, James joined in the conversations and they all were making fun of ina's sleep talking.

"So I heard you got an earth communication device, uh a telephone I heard people call it," Allura looked at him curiously.

"Oh yea, I got one from the garrisons, I can talk to my sisters and brothers easier now," lance nodded.

"Would it be possible for me to get one? They seem rather popular," she smiled.

"For sure, it's not hard to get one, Pidge would probably make you one," he looked at the ceiling, it seemed taller. He was bored.

"How do you communicate on them?" Allura asked.

"Texting and phone calls, uh no holographs like the castle, texting is faster and easier to me," lance explained for her. "Your phone gets a phone number that's only for you so other people can text or call you,"

"I heard exchanging phone numbers is how humans flirt?" Alluras face dropped.

"Back when the earth was normal yea, now it's probably to make sure someone you know isn't dead," he snorted shaking his head.

"So if I give you my phone number, we wouldn't be flirting, correct?" She asked slowly.

"Dude I wouldn't be flirting with you anyways, I got the hints and I'm over it," lance finally snapped a little, he knew she was suspicious of him still and it was getting old. He hadn't flirted with her in a long time.

"Sure alright," Allura rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

"Don't tell me you miss the flirting?" He gave her a look.

"No!"

"Okay then we can just be friends like how everyone else is, grow up Allura this isn't middle school," lance waved her off and walked away annoyed.
