I stared at the phone, and clicked call. "Hey Pegs." I sighed. "What- what's up?" I asked impatiently.
"Hey! Uh... nothing much. I'm at Maria's." She giggled after she said Maria's name. "And she's being a loser."

"If I don't pass this test my parents are gonna kill me Peggy!" Maria shouted.
Peggy laughed. "Anyway... why'd you call?" She asked.

"Uh... so, I met this guy." I sighed and crossed my fingers that she would be fine with this. "And I really like him."

I heard Peggy drop the phone, and then pick it back up again. "You met somebody? And the first thing you're doing is calling me? Is he right next to you? Is he asleep? Is he in the room? Alex what?"
"Well, the thing is. It- It's John. John Laurens." I bit my lip.

Peggy let out a breath. "Awesome! He's the hottest guy in the school. Did you know that he was my first boyfriend?"

"That's why I'm calling." I explained.

"Oh, well I'm fine with it. You go get him- he's great. No- not as great as you babe. Maria! I love you. Okay, I gotta go Al. Byeeeeee!" She hung up.
I turned to Eliza, who was staring at me and sitting on the chair across from my bed, we were in my room. "What did she say?" Eliza would be merciful if Peggy had said she wouldn't allow it, and I knew that.

"She said that John is great, and I'll be happy. She's at Maria's studying." I muttered with a shrug and smile.

Eliza seemed shocked. "She didn't care?"

"No- now if you don't mind, I want to change out of my suit for when John comes over. Thanks Liza." I waved her out of the room, and she walked away. Just as she was leaving my roommate came in, I hadn't seen who it was yet. I turned, and my jaw dropped. "John! Hi!" I grinned at him, and he smiled back. 
"Hi... I didn't realize that we were roommates, I-" He stared into the room. "It's a small world, isn't it?"
I nodded in agreement. "Close the door." I advised.
