Pegria part 1
Peggy frantically brushed her hair. How could you let this happen? She mentally scolded her older sister, Eliza. "Ugh! I'm going to be late to my first day of sophomore year because of you!"
She whined. Her sister Eliza hadn't set Peggy's alarm clock right and she had woken up 30 minutes late. "School starts in 15 minutes!" Peggy pulled on her favorite yellow flannel and some rugged jeans. "This'll do." She finished braiding her hair and ran out into the living room. Her sisters and her owned an apartment together, being in college and all.
"I'm sorry!" Eliza squeaked as Peggy grabbed a mini-muffin and sprinted to the stairs to reach her bike.
"You should be!" Peggy shouted as she ran down the stairs and swallowed the last of her mini-muffin. She could not be late for her first classes of sophomore year of college. "Bye!"Peggy yelled, it was slightly muffled by muffin.
"Bye!" Eliza replied to somebody who was already three flights of stairs away. "Why do I even bother?" Eliza shrugged and walked back to her bedroom. She had class in two hours, so she should start getting ready.
"Omigod Omigod." Peggy muttered as she pedaled quickly. The wind blew her hair back. "Thank god it's in a braid."
Peggy slid into her seat. "Can I borrow a pencil?" She panted to the person who had the misfortune of sitting next to her.
"Do you need to borrow an extra set of lungs as well?" The sweet but sassy voice of a girl replied.
Pegs shook her head. "Just, woke up- late." She groaned, her stomach was hurting her. "Sorry." She wheezed to the girl sitting next to her.
"Don't apologize . . ." The girl rummaged around in her backpack and took out a light gray, almost silver canteen. "Here. Have some water."
"I can't- I-I can- can't take y-your wa-ter." Peggy somehow managed to refuse through gasps of breath.
"I insist!" The girl shoved the water bottle in Peggy's face.
"Thanks . . . ?" Peggy realized she did not know the girls' name. Which seemed like a flaw as she was gulping down her water.
"Maria Kennish." Maria grinned at Peggy. "You're a Schuyler, but which one?"
"You probably never heard my name, results of my fame are greatly exaggerated." She shrugged.
"Peggy right?" Maria didn't want to be wrong, but she was pretty confident. "You run the drama program."
"Well, I donate and I act in it." Peggy blushed slightly.
Maria shrugged. "I heard that the whole program wouldn't exist without you, so thanks. I never act, but some people really like it."
"Yea, I love being placed in another person's mind. Being able to forget all about Peggy and just, become a new person." Peggy explained.
"I can understand that. I really can, imaginary friends? No- I would pretend to be my own friend. It was incredibly lonely, and rather lame." Maria chuckled.
"Would you like to grab a coffee after class? I know I need one, I'm still tired." Peggy chortled.
"Sure thing!"
"One herbal tea with milk and one coffee extra cream extra sugar." Peggy ordered.
"Course Pegs." Laf grinned at her over the counter. His boss glared at him from across the room."Uh . . . what name would you like to use?"
"Maria." Peggy said.
Laf smirked at Peggy. "You on a- how you say? Romantic coffee meeting?"
"Date? No." Peggy then widened her eyes. "Sh*t, do you think she thinks it's a date? Wait- is it a date?" Peggy rushed over to where Maria was sitting. "Is this a date?"
Maria stared at Peggy. "Only if you want it to be." She replied. The other girl was rather charming, and she did like her.
"Uh- then I guess. Yea. It is."
