Part 12
Madeline's POV:
I lay there in my dark room, tears dried to my face and hair. It didn't help that it was storming outside and I was afraid of lightening.
After a few minutes, I started to finally drift to sleep, until I heard a loud knocking on my door that made me jump. I didn't know anyone is this town, and I wasn't sure who it could be.
I wouldn't have any other time, but I had a strong urge to answer the knocking this time.
I got out of bed and made my way towards the door, opening it cautiously. Peter, drenched in rain, was the sight on the other side.
I was so shocked that I couldn't speak. He looked like he had been running, and that he was crying. Suddenly, he gently grabbed me, pulling me outside and kissing me hard on the lips in the pouring rain. I kissed back, lacing my hands in his hair.
He picked me up as I wrapped my legs around him, moving together back to my room. He dropped me down on the bed before turning the light on. I had forgotten that I was wearing nothing but a little white slip nightgown, and it had gotten soaked in the rain, turning see-through.
Peter went back to kissing me. "You look beautiful", he whispered between kisses.
He stripped me of my nightgown, and I did of his clothes and I let him make love to me.
*************************************************************************
I awoke early in the morning. The sun was just rising, and I found it lovely how the sun always came out after a storm.
I kissed Peter on the forehead. He looked so peaceful and youthful as he slept. I knew something had changed since last night, and I was excited to know that Peter and I had a chance of being together.
I got up and began to get dressed. Today was the day I was supposed to return to California, and I wasn't sure what I was going to do about Peter.
After a little, he woke up, kissing me in a morning greeting.
Peter decided he would return to California with me until I finished out college, and then we would both come back to his home in Connecticut to live together.
Peter went back to the cafe to perform, and I joined him many times.
Peter and I had both helped each other to take a giant step outside our minds.
